My last few country CDs:
Kacey Musgraves - Pageant Material Luke Bryan - Kill The Lights
I've bought a lot more non-country than country CDs in the last few months.

My birthday was last week. The used country (and country-ish) CDs I ordered:
Dave Alvin - Blackjack David + Out in California The Greencards - Sweetheart of the Sun Hank Williams Jr. - Wild Streak (probably not a good album but I just had to get the last Hank Jr. album on CD I didn't have...) Johnny Cash - Personal File (completes my Cash collection, finally) Malcolm Holcombe - For the Mission Micky & the Motorcars - Careless Raul Malo - Nashville Acoustic Sessions Reno & Smiley - 1951-1959 Richard Dobson - On Thistledown Wind Steve Young - Renegade Picker + No Place to Fall Various Artists - Tribute to Tradition (awesome group song called "Same Old Train" on this album, Youtube it)

Pretty sure that might be considered a bargain.... Why is it so rare? It's his independent debut so there's not many left...Unfortunately :( In other news, I love "Midnight Radio" and "Walking Papers" from this album. Definitely the rarest album I own now.

How good is the album. Very good! It's hard to rank it right now, but I think it's one of my favorites by him. It's very country sounding and really doesn't sound too far removed from his regular stuff (which is a compliment). There's really not a bad track on here IMO. I'll rank the tracks: 1. Midnight Radio 2. Walking Papers 3. Whiskey Tears 4. Don't Leave Me In Love 5. Home Is Where The Hurt Is 6. Bartenders, Barstools, Barmaids 7. Always Be Me 8. Why Do You Love Me 9. Not Through Lovin' You 10. Living Single Overall I'd give it like a 4.5/5

Found this album today at a local thrift store.
Highways & Honky Tonks - Heather Myles
Here's the cool thing about this CD. It was signed by Heather herself (but not to me, though.)

Nothing beats their Weather and Water album, with their original lineup but Sweetheart of the Sun is great.

Been a while since I tried out a new bluegrass group. Looking forward to it! A few new recent purchases: Billy Yates - Only One George Jones Bobbie Gentry - The Delta Sweete + Local Gentry Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn - 20 Greatest Hits The Kendalls - Just Like Real People K.T. Oslin - '80s Ladies Old Crow Medicine Show - Eutaw Those Poor Bastards - Abominations Zane Williams - Hurry Home

I have every country CD from 1990 to the present that has had at least 2 top 10 hits. I'm missing probably about 50 or 55 different ones mainly from the early to mid 90's.
