I still love this to death as when it premiered. It's magical, euphoric, and just extremely catchy. My 2nd favourite single of hers behind "Disturbia".

This was HUGE.
I didn't like it then, I don't like it now. And I'm a big Rihanna fan.

Massive, but I prefer "Where Have You Been" in regard to her Calvin produced tracks.

That beginning alone. The instrumental is so hot.

Still listen to this on the daily.

This has taken the title as her signature song.
Arguably, the most recognized song of the decade. A classic.

It's grown on me a lot since it first came out but it is still so generic and repetitive and bland. The video was a cute look though.
Also, regardless of its massive chart success, it still doesn't feel like her signature. Umbrella felt like an immediate classic while We Found Love is already starting to feel forgettable.

Love it, it deserved all the critical acclaim it received, definitely her best single.
And I agree with the above poster, the instrumental is just hot! It's one of my favourite instrumentals other than Poker Face and I Gotta Feeling.
"Shine a light through an open door, love and life I will divide" is my favourite line.

Agree with repetitive, the song only has 14 lines or so, but definitely didn't think it was generic.

One of the most euphoric songs of all time. It gives you a rush like few others.

I remember this was one of the songs by her that I liked almost IMMEDIATELY, and that was a long shot, considering that there were a lot of good songs in 2011. Plus Calvin Harris. Juan Carlos

Rihanna's best moment so far. The video is also her best. I still find this stuck in my head about once a week or so.

My favorite song of the decade! I remember when this premiered overseas and instantly fell in love with it. It's far and away my favorite Rih song and glad it's become her signature song.

Don't like this at all. However, since we're talking about our favorite Rihanna songs, mine is "Don't Stop The Music"

I have a little jig I choreographed for myself to this song. It lends itself to jumping around and dancing so well.
I just wished the parent album of TTT lived up to the high quality of this song.

Amazing song - I definitely think this song put Rihanna on a whole other level. This song was not just US, it was a worldwide hit and her biggest since Umbrella, and rightfully so.
Her vocals in this song are beautiful, and the instrumental is so catchy. And the video - amazing.

I was very underwhelmed with this when I first heard it, but that video is undeniable. It's definitely her signature song (for now).

Hands down my favorite Rihanna song and it has not aged one bit for me. Still sounds fresh every time I listen to it.

This sounded really fresh for pop radio at the time (true dance music compared to the blend of dance-pop that was so popular before, including Rihanna's "Only Girl"), but of course the sound has been driven in the ground so much since then. It always seemed to me the fact that Calvin was listed as a feature on this song really opened the door for him and other DJs to have pop success, though there was David Guetta before that.
