Fascinating that Alanis not only declined to attend the premiere of her ‘Jagged' doc screening at tiff but also bashed the filmmakers for their ‘salacious agenda’ and for not being the story she agreed to tell. Isn’t that all ironic? Reminds me of Madonna and her lash out at the New York Times article. Now I want to see it! Far cry from Dionne Warwick who attended her film debut boasting about how proud she is of hers.

How is nobody talking about the 25 year anniversary / tour of Jagged Little Pill?! I’m going to see her live! Never ever thought I’d get the opportunity, especially to hear most of the songs (maybe all) from one of the most defining moments of my life.

Alanis Morissette is taking her delayed celebration of the 25th anniversary of her landmark Jagged Little Pill on tour again this summer. And she has a new song. Produced by Live Nation, the outing will kick off 7/10 in Ottawa and include stops in Toronto and Bethel, N.Y., before wrapping 8/6 in Mountain View, Calif. Garbage will open for the Crush-managed artist. The North American dates will follow a June tour of Europe with Beth Orton. By selling more than half a million tickets in 2021, Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill trek became the #1 female-fronted tour of the year.On Friday Morissette will release a new song, “Olive Branch” (Epiphany Music), which she co-wrote with Michael Farrell, who produced it with Henrik Jakobsson. ALANIS MORISSETTE 2022 WORLD TOUR 7/10: Ottawa, Ottawa Bluesfest 7/12: Montreal, Bell Centre 7/13: London, Ontario, Rock the Park Fest 7/17: Toronto, Budweiser Stage 7/19: Bethel, N.Y., Bethel Woods Center for the Arts 7/21: Holmdel, N.J., PNC Bank Arts Center 7/23: Milwaukee, American Family Insurance Amphitheater 7/24: St. Paul, Minn., Xcel Energy Center 7/27: Calgary, Scotiabank Saddledome 7/28: Edmonton, Rogers Place 7/31: Vancouver, Rogers Arena 8/2: Bend, Ore., Hayden Homes Amphitheater 8/4: Wheatland, Calif., Toyota Amphitheatre 8/6: Mountain View, Calif., Shoreline Amphitheatre m.hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=330546&title=ANOTHER-DOSE-OF-JAGGED-LITTLE-PILL

I haven't listened to the whole meditation album yet, but I like what I have heard so far.
Also, I wish we'd get anniversary editions of her other albums. JLP has gotten three anniversary celebrations (10th - acoustic, 20th - 4 disc set, 25th - extra live performance) but there are a number of songs from SFIJ, URS, SCC, FOE, and H&BL which haven't seen the light of day globally.
e.g. Pollyanna Flower, Awakening Americans, Break, Will You Be My Girlfriend

Next year is “Supposed Former Infatuation Junkies” 25th anniversary. Fingers crossed maybe we’ll get some sort of anniversary edition. Not holding my breath but it’s possible. Even a vinyl reissue remastered.

There was a vinyl reissue of SFIJ a few years ago. All of her albums have been released on vinyl in recent years (i have them all too). But agreed, it deserves a special edition of some sort. I’ve heard a lot of the b-sides and stuff from URS but I don’t think I’m familiar with many from SFIJ. It does seem like the type of album that could have a lot of interesting other tracks.

Given SFIJ has 17 tracks, I'm not sure there's much in the vault besides "Pollyanna Flower." But she could tack on "Uninvited" and "Still" from Dogma. But who knows, maybe there's studio versions/demos of some of the new songs on MTV Unplugged - "No Pressure over Cappuccino" and "Princes Familiar." The other one I'm not sure about is whether the studio version of "These R The Thoughts" on the JLP 20th Anniversary is the same as the one on the "Joining You" single.

There is a studio version of “Princes Familiar” and a track called “Higher” that was never released. “No Pressure over Cappuccino” is actually a post JLP era track that has a demo. Never understood why it wasn’t included on the JLP 20th disc. The studio version of “These R the Thoughts” on “Joining You” is slightly different with a few different lyrics. There’s also demo versions of “Thank U”, “Unsent” & “That I Would Be Good” with alternate lyrics & music.

Speaking of Uninvited — what a track that is. Every time it comes on, im like, yessss! One of her last few that I realllly love. I was obsessed during JLP and slowly lost my fandom card as time went in, but there’s no denying her Vocal prowess. There’s usually a track or few from each album that I enjoy. It’s just her last one, that was I was the least fond of. Reasons I Drink might have been the only one.

She just announced a US tour for next summer called the Triple Moon tour. I also saw somewhere the other day that there are rumours she'll be releasing an album in 2024. Given that she just did a fairly extensive tour for JLP 25 years, I'm wondering if this tour is in support of a new album.

I need Alanis to get a remastered 'You Oughta Know (Jimmy the Saint Blend)' as a single track made available for purchase without YH attached to it. I have the Australian cd single, but the volume is so low you have to turn it up really loud to hear it.
