I love that it's steady on iTunes, but the adds date needs to be added soon.

BadR- in reality, what kind of impact do you think an official adds date would have on the track? Top 50?

Didn't someone say ILYP reached the top 30 on iTunes?
Current U.S. iTunes positions are 52 and 740. Maybe it will have sold 25,000-30,000 for this week, with some 5-6 million streams (if the U.S. percentage is similar to last week)?

Whether this gets sent or not, I can't see it doing anything big.

^Exactly. The level of play up until now, even after the video premiere, confirms as much.
Currently Nos. 91 and 845 on U.S. iTunes.

Well why try to create all this hype for a song if their not going to give it an adds date. This process of bringing out a 2nd single should have moved a little faster. I could see if J Lo was a regular at radio a slow build might of worked ok. However that wasn't the case and they should have realized that when "Fast Love" Plummeted very fast.
I also want to apologize to the poster who said J-Lo's current cd wouldn't even reach 100 thousand in the US. I didn't agree AT ALL. However it looks like I was wrong and unless "Booty" turns it around it looks like that poster was right.

I'm sure it could crack the Top 30 or do just like First Love (Top 20 on Pop) if push for radio adds, but whatever at this point her team just doesn't care. Maybe she'll perform this @ the AMA's to get a push.

A lot of DJ's have said they don't play songs if the label's haven't pushed it (sending it to radio etc). And J.Lo isn't a 20 year old popstar at the peak of her career, radio won't jump on her songs just because.
She probably will perform at the Ama's but I think she would be performing the next single (if there is one) by then along with maybe Booty if it somehow goes for adds or does anything on radio.

Insatiable- it's not DJs who determine ultimately what's played, though, but rather program directors- unless that's what you meant.
With an adds date, the best I could see this having done was top 40.

Yes, PD's. #oop
This is up to #81 on iTunes. She should hit the late night circuit and perform this song while it's still in the top 100.

When are the AMA's middle of Nov.????? "Booty" will be long gone by then if their not going to promote it to radio. So if "Booty" isn't going to be promoted I highly doubt we will see J Lo doing a number at the AMA's.

what a wasted opportunity :( had her team released Booty directly after First Love started to plummet, it could have easily been a hit especially with that video stupid team with very stupid decisions !!!

I still don't think it would have been that much bigger a hit no matter when it was released. Airplay was always going to be a challenge, no matter what or who was on it. The IA version was released just four-five days after the video release, and it only did so much for it. And as we saw with the streams, it had a few days and change of big interest, and then it flatlined.

That solo pic of her in that radio add reminds me of Kim K a little. Is there any update on this? They apparently haven't given up yet.

From Chart Beat on Billboard.com:
Jennifer Lopez: "Booty" bottoms out, falling from its No. 18 Hot 100 debut last week to No. 45. The song logs a 58 percent drop in streaming following the first-week buzz of its suggestive video. Still, it claims top Digital Gainer honors as it digital sales soar by 157 percent after the Sept. 23 release of its new version with clip co-star Iggy Azalea. (Pitbull also receives a featured credit since he appears on the song's original album version.)

I didn't even realize this went to #18 on the Hot 100 :0 I didn't realize it was selling that well. Did streaming really help it THAT much?

Yes to everything you just said basically. Streaming helped most the 1st week and sales helped it's drop off. It may drop off the Hot 100 next week. Airplay has barely picked up yet and sales and streaming have been going down.

She is one of the most frustrating artists for me. She got that look (leaving most of those twenty-something year olds in her dust), and star power yet keeps churning out stale single after dry/stale as hell single. I can blame it on her management, but I know her big ass is in the studio like "this is muh JAM!" She has a hefty percentage of terrible taste. Give me more "On The Floor" and "I'm Into You's" (no, not retreads, you've done worked those into the damn ground, I'm talking quality wise) and less "Booty" and "First Love". I know she forty-something, but she's 2014 forty-something. Now Jenny, what do you hear burnin' up the radio like what you've been giving us? Not a damn thing. *slap* Wake up!

Like said before, she could look around the same age as some of younger acts- but she isn't, and it doesn't matter how great you look. Her first release was 15 years ago. As each year passes, it's tougher and tougher for those who are, both, a certain age and who have been around for a lengthy period of time.
The interest in this particular video was very front-loaded; it is not something that really bears repeat viewings, at least for the general population. Similar to the track itself.
Current iTunes rankings are 86 and 892.
