With the tack-on of Azalea, I don't see why top 40 on the Hot 100 would be out of reach, with streaming and sales points. The novelty probably will be short-lived, though.

I recall "hysteria" when the Shakira/RiRi clip was going to premiere, after people saw images/clips. And we saw what happened with that in the USA. Let's think realistically here. What happened? The video caused a surge in interest in Shakira's videos on VEVO. She's on track to bring in 2B views in 2014, making her the #2 VEVO diva of 2014 (behind Katy Perry) and #3 VEVO diva of all time (behind Rihanna & Katy Perry). The VEVO income alone is enough to pay for the entire era and make a profit. A hot video can do alot for a song. CRTFY was selling well on iTunes, but radio decided to stop playing the song early. If "Booty" gets strong streaming numbers on VEVO, that alone could be enough to make a profit off releasing the song. That said, I don't expect any record setting streaming numbers from "Booty." Everyone knows what her booty looks like. |

Wolfy- by "what happened," I meant that the track's streaming didn't result in a Hot 100 smash. And the video only did so much for its sales. As for radio, it didn't really click with the general audience.
As usual, J.Lo looks hot in the clip. But, as we know, that only will go so far in terms of her singles' performances. The telling part for this single will be how it's faring a handful of days after the performance/video premiere.
