This song, much like others in the same area of the chart, has hit a brick wall lately, and hasn't been able to escape the mid 30's. I would have thought the sales would have been higher for this song too. Don't know how much longevity these guys will have in the country genre. I hope they can break through and get a #1 with this song though, because their album is packed with potential radio hits in my opinion. I just hope country radio isn't too hesitant to play them because they are so pop-leaning.

I just hope country radio isn't too hesitant to play them because they are so pop-leaning. Personally I felt "Show You Off" was a mistake for the second single but I didn't expect it to go quite this slow. It's at week #11 on the chart though and still has yet to crack the top 40 on MB and benefit from countdown spins. Unfortunately it looks as if that won't change this week with Keith passing them and Love and Theft maintaining their lead, so right now with Blake the only one to go recurrent, it looks like #41 once again. It's total audience and spins gains on both BB and MB have not been great thus far but hopefully that will change in the next couple weeks. As great as their initial radio tour was, it seems they are victims to the numbers game right now with other singles around them (Jon, Love and Theft, Kacey, Brothers Osborne, David) and getting lost in the shuffle (I know I've said this before). I think that their music makes them a little more polarizing to some PD's out there but nowhere near enough to be a problem IMO. Sometimes these slow methodical climbs are inevitable when it comes to new artists no matter how great the radio tour was or even the iTunes sales are even though like you mentioned they haven't been anything to write home about. Heck, Charlie Worsham's tour was fantastic as well and got an ungodly amount of first week adds for "Could It Be", like "19 You + Me" did. But "Want Me Too" had a slow struggle to the high 30's and eventually lost it's battle and now he probably won't get a chance to release a third single from his wonderful album. Even though I'm always patient when it comes to newer artists chart climbs--this one is still pretty crucial for Dan + Shay and I am rooting for these guys as the charismatic personality and strong vocal talents were very evident to me on the tour that Warner Music was kind enough to put on YouTube.

It took quite a while but "Show You Off" is finally getting it's wheels under it. It's up 211 spins on the MB rolling chart and 500k in audience since Sunday. This is coming off the previous week where they gained another 500k in audience and picking up 14 new adds in the process, which was the third most added in the MB top 50 (Blake and Justin were 1 and 2). Right now Dan + Shay will fall somewhere between #30-#33 on the MB chart this week, depending on if they can leap Brothers Osborne and whether Hunter or Justin will leap them and/or Brothers Osborne.

I've been really glad to see this one bring in some good updates the past few weeks. These guys are way too talented to never get a #1 on the country charts, and I'm hopeful this could be the song to do it for them. I know they lean a little towards the Pop direction, but IMO they do a better job of balancing the two genres than Sam Hunt does. Would these guys be eligible for the On The Verge program? I assume they would because Craig got to do it after his already decent charting single.

So this song hasn't been talked about for almost two months. I heard this on the radio for the first time in a long time and was pleasantly reminded that the song existed. How long has it taken for this song to reach #25, and how much steam does it have left?

It reached #25 in its 25th week. Ordinarily, I'd say that it doesn't have much steam left and I'd be surprised to see it last more than a few more weeks. But, with the way the charts have been lately, I guess I could also see it lasting for 40 weeks and hitting the top 10. I hope it's the first situation that happens, though.

I'd take it you don't care for the song, lol. Or perhaps you'd like for some more house cleaning? In any event, I believe Warner Music is prepared to get this at least top 15. The house cleaning is in full effect and they did so well on last years radio tour that "Show You Off" is high enough where it will sustain a second wind and their label will likely make sure of that. This song never was really in trouble, just packed competition this past Summer and early Fall. I don't have the numbers in front of me since I'm on mobile but this still has life left in it still.

A bit of both. The song is OK, but I'd rather see it make room for other songs coming up at this point. I agree that it could very easily hang on long enough to make the top 15.

This song has suddenly vaulted into the top 15 on iTunes Country chart. Was this song performed somewhere? Prior to today it was really struggling in sales.

This one might be finished. It lost another 26 spins today (59 total since Sunday) and over 400k in audience (over 500k since Sunday). "Show You Off" barely held on to its bullet this past week with a 15 spin gain even though it lost 116 total points and nearly 400k in audience, and another 400k in audience two weeks ago - that means "Show You Off" has over 1.3 million in audience over the past 18 days. It lost 300k in audience his past week on Billboard so I'm assuming if it keeps posting losses like today it will be sent recurrent.

^I was just coming on here to post the same thing. I think this one is done as well, although I won't be happy to see this one leave. It looks like it's Billboard peak will be 22, which ism't terrible, but after how successful 19 You + Me was, I was hoping they were ready to explode in popularity. I imagine they will try with one more single, and I'd bet the bank that it will be "What You Do To Me". Not sure if they'll have any momentum to get that one up the charts, but it would seem to have the best shot from what's left on a rather deep and radio friendly album.

"19 You + Me" felt like a much bigger hit than it was on radio though. I believe it peaked at #9 or #10 when all was said and done, which is great, but not big enough to have propelled this into another top 20 hit for them. I believe that "What You Do To Me" would have been a much better choice for single #1 as it is much catchier than "Show You Off" (although still a great song) and probably would have been a bigger hit. However, I think "Show You Off" has done decently enough that "What You Do To Me" has a chance at becoming their biggest hit yet if its chosen as the 3rd single. I don't think anything else on the album is good enough to accomplish a better finish than SYO did. Their momentum is down a bit, but I think that if radio gives WYDTM a chance, listeners will love it and the song will rise on its own merit.

^I agree that it feels like a bigger hit than it was on the charts. 19 You + Me managed to go Gold despite not making the top 10, and that's why I thought their next single was ready to explode. The poor sales for "Show Me Off" though do concern me a bit, but perhaps it was just due to an uninspired single selection.

I think this was a simple case of the wrong single being released to radio. "What You Do to Me" had "smash hit" written all over it and I still think even after Dan + Shay lost their momentum with a 20s peak that song would get them to #1.

Unfortunately I wasn't familiar with "19 You + Me" but I took a listen, and that's a great song!!! <3
This single is fine, but honestly pales in comparison to the previous single.

In case anybody needs reminding, this one is now in free fall mode. "Show You Off" is down 1.1 million in audience today and 175 spins. It actually lost 1.8 million in audience and nearly 1600 points on MB from the December 15th chart to the January 5th chart, so it should go one more chart week on MB and officially be sent recurrent by Billboard on Monday.

I was beginning to hear this one more lately after barely hearing it at all, so I guess that'll be the end of that, lol. I did like this though. These guys really remind me of Rascal Flatts vocally and musically (though even more pop-leaning).

so it should go one more chart week on MB and officially be sent recurrent by Billboard on Monday. Check that - "Show You Off" has been removed by MB in today's afternoon update, even though it went with a bullet on the final regular chart week of 2014 (it went bulletless last week). So it will be gone from both MB and Billboard come tomorrow.

They're certainly taking their time in choosing a 3rd single. The longer they're away from radio, the harder it will get. I understand January had lots of competition, but it would be smart to lock down a Febrauary date before those gets crowded as well.

I hope they go with either "What You Do To Me" or "First Time Feeling." Not that any of these can be guaranteed hits, but I think both songs are single-worthy.
