Which was released eight years later. It was still never on a studio album, thus making it a case similar to Terri Clark's "The World Needs a Drink" — never put on a "regular" album, but did appear on her 20th Century Masters set. Makes me wonder why those songs weren't placed on their second greatest hits CD (from 1986). However, they chose to record a new song called Too Much Is Not Enough with the Forester Sisters (a song I covered late last year).

Bobby Braddock (great songwriter) has #1 cuts in 5 different decades. Not sure if he is the only one but I think that is pretty interesting and he may, likely, be one of the only songwriters that can claim to have a #1 song in 5 different decades.

I will pick one from each decade: 1. D-I-V-O-R-C-E-Tammy Wynette-1968 2. Thinkin' Of A Rendezvous-Johnny Duncan-1976 3. He Stopped Loving Her Today-George Jones-1980 4. Time Marches On-Tracy Lawrence-1996 5. People Are Crazy-Billy Currington-2009

Will he have a shot at picking up a sixth decade with anything in the 2010s?

Interesting old article from R.J Curtis of then R&R back in June of 2007. This was a letter from a PD in Atlantic City, NJ named Joe Kelly. He worked as the PD on WPUR. "Darryl Worley's Living In The Here And Now". Yeah, the record label went belly up -- so what? It's a song that sounds great on the air. Worley always works well around here. I had a label rep tell me, 'Well, you can drop that, the label shut down'. I don't think so! I'm not in the music promotion business -- I'm in the radio business. If I think a song's going to help my radio station, I'm going to play it!" Too bad many don't treat it quite like that.

I just find it interesting that Kelly Clarkson was actually the first AI contestant to appear on the country charts, even though she never released anything to country until recently.

* Steven Goldmann, who directed the video for Faith Hill's "This Kiss", also directed the video for Cledus T. Judd's parody of it, "Christ-Mas". The "Christ-Mas" video is a nearly shot for shot parody of the original.

The "Christ-Mas" video is a nearly shot for shot parody of the original. You mean "This Kiss" ;) I've actually made that typo as well thanks to Aaron Tippin's song. Steven Goldmann used to be a heavy hitter in the music video industry at least in the U.S. He's from Canada so he's directed some Canadian artists lately not named Alan Jackson who he is of course friends with. His last 3 videos that were American promoted singles that charted, that weren't done by AJ are... Emerson Drive - "Belongs To You" Emerson Drive - "Moments" Rushlow Harris - "Bagpipes Cryin'"

A few more:
* Glen Campbell voiced Chanticleer the Rooster in the animated/live action hybrid movie Rock-a-Doodle. The character is an Elvis caricature.
* Session guitarist and producer Billy Joe Walker Jr. also co-wrote Eddie Rabbitt's "B-B-B-Burnin' Up with Love" and has recorded several albums of New Age music.
* Alan Jackson's whistling at the end of "Right on the Money" was unintentional. He didn't realize that the tape was still running, and he and producer Keith Stegall liked it so much that they left it in.
* Collin Raye's "What If Jesus Comes Back Like That" originally charted because After Midnite with Blair Garner was playing it. The song was later reissued and got to #21 its second time around.
* Bryan White was the singing voice for Garrett (speaking voice by Cary Elwes) in the animated movie Quest for Camelot. The movie also had Steve Perry, Céline Dion, and Andrea Corr providing singing voices for other characters. LeAnn Rimes had a hit with "Looking Through Your Eyes" from the movie's soundtrack.
* Marsha Thornton's "A Bottle of Wine and Patsy Cline" got to #23 on the Canadian RPM country charts, but only #59 in the US.

Has anyone noticed that there are 14 country titles in the National Airplay Top 50 That's a staggering 28% market share. Pop takes 34%, R&B and Rap have both 12%, EMD accounts for 10% and 2% each for Latin & Rock. I think this is quite remarkable.
17 - Leave The Night On - Sam Hunt 19 - Burnin' It Down - Jason Aldean 21 - Neon Light - Blake Shelton 24 - Sunshine & Whiskey - Frankie Ballard 25 - Day Drinking - Little Big Town 26 - Somewhere In My Car - Keith Urban 32 - Dirt - Florida Georgia Line 35 - Girl In A Country Song - Maddie & Tae 41 - Small Town Throwdown - Brantley Gilbert Featuring Justin Moore & Thomas Rhett 43 - Roller Coaster - Luke Bryan 45 - Look At You - Big & Rich 47 - Close Your Eyes - Parmalee 48 - Shotgun Rider (2014) - Tim McGraw 50 - Something In The Water - Carrie Underwood

We haven't done this in a while. * Darryl Worley said that numerous fans wanted him to record another song for the soldiers in 2006, and that's the reason he wrote and released "I Just Came Back From A War". Darryl said it probably never would have happened if it wasn't for the fans who felt he needed to release one again. * Clay Walker's mom did not want him to release "'Fore She Was Mama" in fear that he recorded it because it was about her. * Jeffrey Steele has a "Help Somebody" tattoo since he feels so strongly about the songs message. * Jason Aldean said "You're The Love I Wanna Be In" would have been the next single off his self-titled debut if there was a fourth release from the album. * Tim McGraw said he wanted "My Old Friend" released as the final single from Live Like You Were Dying because of the recent event of Hurricane Katrina. I still don't know if "Blank Sheet Of Paper" was ever considered during that album's life cycle. * Bucky Covington's least favorite food is cheese. * Craig Morgan describes "Love Remembers" as the happiest sad song you'll ever hear. * Gretchen Wilson's car was repossessed the same day she signed her record deal with Epic Nashville.

Barbara Mandrell convinced the CMAs to change their awards from being made out of wood to the glass awards they give out to this day. Since they switched though, she never won another CMA.

-Garth Brooks has said that the final track on each of his albums was his favorite on that album (that's "The Dance", "Wolves", "The River", "Face to Face", "The Cowboy Song", "Ireland", "Belleau Wood", and "When You Come Back to Me Again"). Ah, it just dawned on me that this is probably the reason why, when Garth's albums were rereleased with a bonus track, the new track was strangely inserted into the middle of the album instead of at the end, which is a much more common practice. He wanted to keep his favorite tracks last.

With the exception of his debut album, Billy Currington has managed to score exactly two number ones from every one of his albums

* Karen Fairchild (LBT) recently said that the whistling in "Day Drinking" was added because Karen was sick the day they recorded the song and didn't feel like she could sing that day, so she just started whistling instead. ;p *Megan Trainor (singer of "All About That Bass"), cowrote two songs for their most recent album *Carrie Underwood's label tried to convince her to make a Pop album after winning Idol, even though she always made it clear she was a Country artist.

* In 1996, both Pirates of the Mississippi and John Anderson recorded the Bob McDill/Roger Murrah song "Paradise" for an album of the same name. Both versions were released as singles.
* Speaking of John Anderson, Blake Chancey produced both his and Montgomery Gentry's renditions of "The Big Revival". Similarly, Dann Huff produced both Collin Raye's and Kenny Rogers' versions of "Water & Bridges".
* The female backing vocal on "Shake the Sugar Tree" is Stephanie Bentley. Paul Worley and Pam Tillis liked her demo so much that they just dubbed in a couple more instruments and Pam's lead vocal, and called it a day.
* K. T. Oslin accidentally set her keyboard to sound like an electric guitar on "Come Next Monday" but left it alone. That's why the keyboard part sounds so weird on that song.

"For My Broken Heart" was originally intended to be a duet between Reba and Clint Black, but due to the plane crash that killed 7 members of her band and her tour manager, the duet never happened, and it was released as a solo single.

Tim McGraw said when he first decided to record Ryan Adam's "When The Stars Go Blue" that he had no idea what it was about but it sure sounded cool.
I'm still unsure if he found out what the song was about or still doesn't really know...

^ I don't think Ryan Adams knows what the hell he wrote in that song, either. I'm surprised he didn't put in anything about cities breaking down on a camel's back, ponies and chocolate attacks, or windmills for the land.

Lee Brice and Jon Stone (one half of American Young and co-writer of "A Woman Like You") each got matching tattoos of the date that "A Woman Like You" went #1 since it was Lee's first chart topper as well as Jon's as a writer.
The only problem is that the date was actually one week late, and the #1 song of the date they got tattoo was "Drink On It" by Blake Shelton.

-According to this book I've checked out from the library entitled 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, Marty Robbins' Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs was recorded in a single day.

I believe the whole album is only 33 minutes long with a few tracks being below 2:20 minutes in length, but still a cool fact.

Billboard 200 Chart MovesBy Keith Caulfield | November 21, 2014 Florida Georgia Line, Here's to the Good Times - No. 76 — The album has yet to fall out of the top 100 since it debuted almost two years ago. And, with 2.1 million sold, it's the eighth-biggest-selling country album by a duo in the SoundScan era (1991-present).

Montgomery Gentry's "Back When I Knew It All" album is the only album cover to feature Eddie Montgomery on the right side and Troy Gentry on the left (it's usually the other way around)

* Trace Adkins did not think "You're Gonna Miss This" would be a hit. He even was surprised the label decided to go with it as a single after "I Got My Game On" flamed out, and figured they move on to his next project.
* 5 of the first 16 music videos directed by Peter Zavadil were Bill Engvall videos, including Zavadil's first ("Warning Signs")
* The crowd of heads in Jo Dee Messina's video for "Delicious Surprise" were shot at the Taste of Country concert in Buffalo, NY.
* Billy Dean's "Swinging For The Fence" music video was to include Mahjor League Baseball players but due to the singles lack of success, the video was scraped

Bobby Braddock (great songwriter) has #1 cuts in 5 different decades. Not sure if he is the only one but I think that is pretty interesting and he may, likely, be one of the only songwriters that can claim to have a #1 song in 5 different decades. I was thinking Bill Anderson might have beat him with number ones in six decades , but I cant find any number ones from the 80's . But he still equals Bobby as he started a decade earlier in the 1950's.
