Dean Brody - "Sweet Lola" Canadian artist yes, but seriously, go listen to this song and try to imagine why anyone in charge would decide not to release it to radio...'cause I can't find one.

This is so true, it physically pains me. Add "This Time" and we've rounded out eleven years of career injustices. "Choctaw County Affair" needs to be the highlight of this album now, unfortunately :(

Lady Antebellum "One Great Mystery"
I've always felt like had they released this from 747, it would've been huge.

Since "They Don't Know" is going to be the last single from Jason Aldean this era, may I offer up another batch of album cuts from him that should have been singles:
"All Out Of Beer" -This one just screamed big hit to me. Such an infectious hook and meaningful message behind it.
"Reason To Love LA" -This one has a similar message as the other songs on the album, but it presents it in the most unique way.

George Strait should've released "Beautiful Day for Goodbye" or "Out of Sight, Out of Mind" off Twang.

Especially Friends We Won't Forget. That felt a song that would define Lee Brice's concerts for years to come if it got released.

Yep. I think if these 3 artists released those songs, they'd all be near A-List territory right now instead of B-list

I remember back when Restless had just come out and Sara said that Niagara was going to be a single. I even remember her performing it on one of those CMT shows and being really excited about hearing it on the radio. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was meant to follow Perfect and they ended up going with Suds in the Bucket instead (which surprised me because of how different the two songs are). I sometimes still wonder how this would have done at radio. It seemed to be a favorite of many people, but even at her peak Sara was so hit or miss with radio it's nearly impossible to know how this one would have done.

Billy Currington-"That Changes Everything" George Strait-"She'll Leave You With A Smile" (George's 1997 "She'll Leave You With A Smile" is even better than his 2001 song of the same title. I wish he would've released it as a single instead.)

It was scheduled and announced as the third single, but they swapped it out with "Suds In The Bucket". (And then of course completely dropped the ball by releasing "Tonight" instead of "Niagara" or "Rocking Horse" as the fourth single). I wonder how it would have fared as well. Better than "Tonight", but not as well as "Suds" would be my prediction. I think the singles from that album should have been: 1. Rocking Horse 2. Perfect 3. Suds In The Bucket 4. Niagara 5. Backseat Of A Greyhound Bus

Dolly Parton - The Grass is Blue
I know it wouldn't make much difference in terms of radio airplay, but I still think this song should have been released as a single.

Backseat Of A Greyhound Bus Looking back I still can't believe that Rocking Horse never was a single. I think it would have been the perfect lead single (Backseat of a Greyhound Bus was not a good lead single choice IMO) and I'm convinced that it would have been an easy top 10, if not number one for Sara.

I agree, "Rocking Horse" is easily one of the best songs in Sara's discography.
On the other hand, "Backseat of a Greyhound Bus" is my favorite single of hers...

I remember Sara herself saying she was intimidated by Niagara vocally and didn't think she could perform it live. She performed it once on CMT's Most Wanted Live and that was that.

Carrie Underwood - 'Some Hearts' - Starts With Goodbye - The Night Before (Life Goes On) - Lessons Learned
Carrie Underwood - 'Carnival Ride' - That's Where it Is - I Know You Won't
Carrie Underwood - 'Play On' - Quitter - Someday When I Stop Loving You - What Can I Say ft/ Sons of Slyvia - Play On
Carrie Underwood - 'Blown Away' - Wine After Whiskey - Good in Goodbye - Do You Think About Me
Carrie Underwood - 'Storyteller' - Chaser - Relapse - Like I'll Never Love You Again - The Girl You Think I Am
I find Carrie's entire career is built on poor single choices, and she / her team usually get the first two single choices right.. but suck there on out. So many missed opportunities.

Carrie Underwood - 'Carnival Ride' - That's Where it Is - I Know You Won't Not to nitpick, but "That's Where It Is" was from Some Hearts. In regards to your post though, I agree that there's a plethora of missed opportunities in Carrie Underwood's discography. She has a ton of great singles, but there's definitely quite a few weak links in there that could've been swapped out for some stronger options left on the albums.

Carrie Underwood "Do You Think About Me" should've been a single and that is the biggest injustice ever to a song in my opinion.

Lady Antebellum - Better Off Now (That You're Gone)- I still can't believe this never was a single. I'm convinced it would have been huge. Lady Antebellum - Lie With Me - I'll never understand how Freestyle saw the light of day at radio and this one didn't. Even though Long Stretch of Love couldn't do so well as a follow-up, I think this one would have. Everyone seemed to think this would be a single at some point, and I hate that it never was. It's one of my favorites from them. Carrie Underwood - Unapologize - I don't ever really hear anyone talk about this song, so maybe it's just me, but this sounded like an extremely radio-friendly uptempo hit and one of my favorites from Play On. Carrie Underwood - Good in Goodbye - I just love this song so much. Tim McGraw - Tellutide and Things Change (from Set This Circus Down)-Two of my favorite songs of his ever. Faith Hill - Love is a Sweet Thing and If I'm Not in Love (from Breathe) This is one of those albums that could have gone 7 or 8 singles deep...such a great album and it's a shame that only four singles were released from it.

Most recently from A-listers (as I often find them to be the worst offenders):
"Choctaw County Affair" - Carrie Underwood "Green" - Blake Shelton "Good Country Song" - Blake Shelton "To the Moon and Back" - Luke Bryan "This Nothin' Town" - Jason Aldean "Playing With Fire" - Thomas Rhett "First Time Again" - Jason Aldean "City Lights" - Tim McGraw
