Katy Perry is getting an honor usually reserved for later in life. Her portrait is joining the collection at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington.
The museum said Wednesday that a 2010 portrait of Perry by artist Will Cotton, entitled "Cupcake Katy," will go on view beginning June 18. It will be part of a rotating display of recently acquired portraits. The tongue-in-cheek picture depicts Perry as a cupcake.

Interesting. Also wow @ Team dropping 10 spots, I guess it's not going to be on the chart much longer, I wonder if that means it won't even reach the top 25 for the year end. The Monster at 50 so it will drop out next week after only 29 weeks on the chart. I guess All of Me is going to be #1 in airplay for a while because JT will peak soon and I don't think Fancy has potential at being a #1 airplay.
Also this came out last night but it's pretty disappointing.

Why are those charts in this thread? They should be removed and put in their proper thread. It's confusing.

^ Yes. Looks like Fancy at this point is def. gonna leap frog NABT to #1. NABT is slowing down for sure. I just don't hear anything special about the song and while sales have been decent at best, I just don't see radio doing much more w/ it. Plus, I think AOM is going to have similar declines to Counting Stars (minimal, and won't be as steep as the ones Happy got). While I prefer Happy, it def. had a waay faster burn out rate. I don't care for AOM. Objectively though, between the dance mix and original it's more multi format friendly and the kind of song that'll def. have more lives than 'Happy'. I'm hearing it now more than ever.

Not katy still outside the top 20. Birthday is her equivalent the #29 flop peak of the greats. Cmon katy and label do what is necessary to get this at least at uncle deshawn ali s peak. Lol at me hoping just for that peak.

Gary simply made a mistake.
Why doesn't someone send him a PM to let him know?
Why are people pissy about it?
He does a nice thing each week for us. He doesn't have to...

Here is my response:
Posting the charts here was not meant to cause a problem. I got up at 6am my time (early for me), the very second these charts came online to get these out.
I understand that people love to have the current thread up as quickly as possible to discuss the latest radio update since a lot of the upper part of the chart was already discussed yesterdy.
This thread was up an hour or so before the "old" charts came online. Not something I was expecting and certainly not something I look for that early in the morning.
Right now real life has to trump internet life. The charts are at home, I am working.
Options
1. I can delete all my posts now and repost them later 2. We leave them for now and I can repost later and delete these in about 9 or 10 hours or so. 3. Someone can move them for me by hitting the quote button if it is urgent. 4. A staff member can do it for me if it is urgent 5. Or we can leave it alone and discuss the current charts?
My personal favorite is option #5, I am open to the other 4 as well. Apologies to people that are bothered by this.

He's been putting them in the following week thread for quite some time now, I'm surprised a few are just noticing it. I love Gary, so I'm not complaining.

Not katy still outside the top 20. Birthday is her equivalent the #29 flop peak of the greats. Cmon katy and label do what is necessary to get this at least at uncle deshawn ali s peak. Lol at me hoping just for that peak. But what is there left to do? :/ Some have said they released that Cash remix to iTunes. Dunno if that's making any difference. She performed on a high profile awards show last weekend. The ONLY thing I can think of is discounting the single for a week or so and/or put out another version w/ another popular singer (basically pull an S&M like Rihanna/Britney did to get that extra push). Just 'something' to make this at least go top 20/15. I don't think song was a momentum killer at all since its the *4th single! 2 out of those 4 have been MEGA smashes. When you have 2 hits that are that big and two songs that peak in or around the top 20 of course many will label it a flop based on the artist and their current popularity. Same thing happened w/ every A list singer in their prime. For someone like Madonna, Mimi or Janet, top 20 would now be considered a bonafide hit lol. B-Day, even if doesn't come close to the top 10 or top 15, it's one of those songs like Unconditionally that wasn't THAT bad that it negatively affected album sales or overall momentum. Even if there's a 5th single that does worse, Katy has many, many lives left. All people will instantly think about w/ Prism were the #1 smashes Roar and DH and consider the whole era a success.
