Does anyone else hear the resemblance between Sam Smith's Stay With Me and that Emile Sande song from last year? They sound a lot a like. No way. "Next to Me" is way more upbeat.

finally happy can leave next and then all of me please Then Turn Down For What please. Interesting to note that if those three songs dropped out next week, the longest-running current top ten would be Fancy, the number one, and with just 8 weeks in the top ten (assuming DH or TD or something don't return to the top ten) and TDFW would make for an interesting number one...just curious to see how much controversy that would cause lol. But it's pretty obvious that it not only won't reach #1, but has also already peaked and won't reach top 3. (Highly unlikely for it to reach top 3 anyway).

I guess Problem won't hit %1 : ( I was waiting for someone to comment so I wouldn't get in trouble for double posting and I was gonna say exactly that! It seems the video wasn't sufficient...looks like AG will have to try again for a #1 (and with more than 50000 chart points this week, it easily had enough points for a #1 in most weeks this year...)it's sad, Problem was so close to #1 :( even though I like Fancy, I really wanted Problem to be able to sneak in a week at #1...

7. PHARRELL WILLIAMS – Happy: 113.545 (-113.545) 8. KATY PERRY – Dark Horse: 112.423 (-112.423)
Would everyone be ok if this happened tomorrow?

Even if Dark Horse overtakes Happy in the daily radio rankings by virtue of having a slower slightly slower decline. Shoudld note the Hot 100 positions favor Happy. Streaming is about even (based on last weeks chart) and airplay is about even but from a sales standpoint, Happy is still top 10 and well....Dark Horse is not.
The 10 weeks at #1 for Happy where many of those weeks were commanding leads over #2 should probably count for something towards the year end chart, even if Dark Horse has a slower radio decline on the back end of its run.

Bye "Dark Horse" :'( you were a huge smash, hopefully top 3 on year-end Hot 100 and #1 on top 40 radio.

Wow I didn't think Wiggle would be top 5 already, I especially didn't think Stay With Me would fly to the top 10 this week, next week was obvious.

Yeah I don't get how Wiggle jumped that high. The video has been out for a while so why is it that only just now the streaming jumped for the song?

music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart-watch/chart-watch-sam-smith-zooms-top-10-204525192.htmlSam Smith, the red-hot, blue-eyed soul singer from England, lands his first top 10 hit on the Hot 100 as "Stay With Me" jumps from #19 to #10. The song reached #1 on the U.K.'s Official Singles Chart two weeks ago. It's vying to become the second song to reach #1 in both countries this year, following "Timber" by Pitbull featuring Ke$ha. ("The Monster" by Eminem featuring Rihanna topped the Hot 100 in both 2013 and 2014, but headed the U.K. chart only in 2013.) In addition, Smith's "I'm Not The Only One" debuts at #69. Both songs are from Smith's debut album, In The Lonely Hour, which returns to #1 on the U.K.'s Official Albums Chart this week. The album is due for release in the U.S. on June 17. It will compete for #1 with Linkin Park's The Hunting Party and Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence. As if this isn't enough, Disclosure's "Latch," on which Smith is featured, jumps from #22 to #17 in its 12th week. It's Smith's third top 20 hit, following Naughty Boy's "La La La," on which Smith is also featured (and which peaked at #19) and "Stay With Me." Smith may well be a player in next year's key Grammy races. A different song titled "Stay With Me" by Faces peaked at #17 in February 1972. Another song with the same title by Lorraine Ellison reached #64 in 1966. (Bette Midler memorably covered it in The Rose.) "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX and "Problem" by Ariana Grande featuring Azalea hold at #1 and #2 for the third straight week. Azalea is the first artist to hold down the top two spots on the Hot 100 with her first two chart hits since the Beatles in 1964. Azalea, 24, wasn't impressed when she heard that stat. "It doesn't mean anything," she told Billboard. "I'd rather be the Rolling Stones." Cheeky or rude? You decide. "Fancy" is also #1 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs for the third week. In addition to being featured on the week's #1 hit, Charli XCX has the week's highest new entry as her own "Boom Clap" debuts at #62. It's from The Fault In Our Stars soundtrack, which vaults from #18 to #8 on The Billboard 200. This is Charli XCX's first Hot 100 hit as a lead artist. It's vying to become her third top 10 hit overall, following a pair of featured credits: "Fancy" and Icona Pop's "I Love It." John Legend's "All Of Me" holds at #3 for the third week. The song tops the 4M mark in digital sales this week. It's the 116th song in digital history to reach this level. Prior to this smash, Legend's best-seller was "Green Light" (featuring Andre 3000), which has sold 1,247,000 copies. "Wiggle" by Jason Derulo featuring Snoop Dogg vaults from #10 to #5. It's Derulo's fourth top five hit; Snoop's seventh. Snoop has been featured on top five hits by Dr. Dre, Chingy, the Pussycat Dolls, Akon, Katy Perry and now Derulo. He has been in the lead position on only one of his top five hits: "Drop It Like It's Hot," which featured Pharrell. Here's a recap of this week's top 10 songs. The Top Five: "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX holds at #1 for the third week in its 14th week on the chart. This is its seventh week in the top 10. Digital sales rank: #1 (263K) … "Problem" by Ariana Grande featuring Iggy Azalea holds at #2 for the third week in its sixth week on the chart. It has been in the top 10 the entire time. Digital sales rank: #2 (214K) … John Legend's "All Of Me" holds at #3 for the third week in its 35th week on the chart. This is its 16th week in the top 10. Digital sales rank: #9 (116K) … "Turn Down For What" by DJ Snake & Lil Jon holds at #4 for the second week in its 24th week on the chart. This is its 11th week in the top 10. Digital sales rank: #8 (129K) … "Wiggle" by Jason Derulo featuring Snoop Dogg vaults from #10 to #5 in its sixth week on the chart. This is its third week in the top 10. Digital sales rank: #5 (146K). The Second Five: Pharrell Williams's "Happy" dips from #5 to #6 in its 23rd week on the chart. This is its 19th week in the top 10. Digital sales rank: #10 (104K) … MAGIC!'s "Rude" jumps from #8 to #7 in its seventh week on the chart. This is its second week in the top 10. Digital sales rank: #4 (162K) … Nico & Vinz's "Am I Wrong" drops from #6 to #8 in its eighth week on the chart. This is its third week in the top 10. Digital sales rank: #6 (142K) … Calvin Harris's "Summer" holds at #9 for the second week in its 12th week on the chart. This is its second week in the top 10. Digital sales rank: #12 (92K) … Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" jumps from #19 to #10 in its ninth week on the chart. It's his first top 10 hit. Digital sales rank: #3 (167K). "Dark Horse" by Katy Perry featuring Juicy J drops from #7 to #11, ending a 22-week run in the top 10. Here's much worse news for Perry: "Birthday" drops from its #17 peak to date to #22 in its ninth week. Unless it does a quick reversal, it will go down as her lowest-charting single (from one of her albums) since "Thinking Of You" peaked at #29 in February 2009. What's the problem with "Birthday"? I think it's a good record, if perhaps too much a summary of her hit formula. Or maybe Perry is simply entering the next phase of her career where not every single will be an automatic smash and her fortunes will rise or fall on the merits of each release. It happens to everybody eventually. Let's keep an eye on another song that is listed in the top 10 on Hot Digital Songs, but hasn't yet cracked the top 10 on the Hot 100. "This Is How We Roll" by Florida Georgia Line featuring Luke Bryan rebounds from #23 to #7 on Hot Digital Songs, following the release of a remix featuring Jason Derulo. The song has climbed as high as #16 on the Hot 100. Bastille's "Pompeii" tops the 3 million mark in digital sales this week. The song reached #6 on the Hot 100. It earlier reached #2 on the U.K.'s Official Singles Chart. Christina Perri's "Human" tops the 1 million mark in digital sales this week. This is Perri's third million-seller. "Jar Of Hearts" is up to 3,798,000. "A Thousand Years" is up to 3,657,000. "Human" reached #31 on the Hot 100. "Show Me" by Kid Ink featuring Chris Brown becomes the 29th song to sell 1M copies in 2014. It reached #13 on the Hot 100. To My Readers: I'll have a separate Chart Watch report on this week's key movers and debuts on the Hot 100 later today. I won't recap the top 10 in that second report. It will be fresh material.

lyhom @markg94 Actually I know you want me was released in the fall of 2008, but smashed on the radio until the summer of 2009 via ultradance records. It took time for radio to catch on, considering that Pit was not unknown either; he was coming from the success of Krazy and the anthem. :) Both songs had a crazy impact on iTunes. Krazy was massive on rhythmic radio back in 2008 too. So, radio listeners knew who he was already, yet calle 8 was a slow climber in the beginning. Hey baby drop it to the floor was released in September of 2010, yet it smashed on the radio until January 2011. See how late radio is with him? Then he released give me everything in March, but radio was still playing hey baby, so Give me everything had to wait and truly exploded until June 2011 when reached #1 on the billboard hot 100 desthroning rolling in the deep. To this date: Give me everything has a golden recurrency status and it's still in the top 400 on iTunes USA after peaking at 1 just for 1 week. 350. Give me everything. (right now) :) We are one reached the top 5 on iTunes worldwide today, and it's rising in countries where the wc is not popular, so if RCA sends it to radio, I think this could have potential.

Is it a stretch to suggest Magic might go to #1? I don't see anything else really high in sales/climbing in airplay about from Stay With Me but it's currently behind Rude. It may still be climbing when Fancy peaks which should be soon as I don't think it has any AC potential.

The only reason Stay With Me isn't higher right now is because it's not available on on-demand streaming services right now. That might change next week with the release of his album. If the album is released to on-demand streaming, then it will go #1; if not, then Rude will. No song has reached #1 without being available on on-demand since it was incorporated into the Hot 100 two years ago.

She won't. If "All I Do Is Win" didn't return after Emma Stone lip-synced it on Fallon this won't return either.

All I Do Is Win was apart of a video with multiple songs. This is just a single song so it could chart with the streams alone. Whether it is under a music banner or not is what counts for its eligibility.

Whether it is under a music banner or not is what counts for its eligibility. It's not just the music banner, it's also that the song has to have enough points for the top 50 in order to chart. After the lipsync video AIDIW only had enough points to chart in the 80s. The All By Myself video isn't that big (40k+ views in one day - see www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9XLWrCi6DE) so the song has no chance of re-entering.

Chart Watch: This Is How We Rebound
"This Is How We Roll" by Florida Georgia Line featuring Luke Bryan rebounds from #26 to #15 in its 18th week on the Hot 100. This is its highest ranking to date. The resurgence is due to the release of a remix featuring the red-hot Jason Derulo (who has had back-to-back top five hits of his own with "Talk Dirty" and "Wiggle").
"This Is How We Roll" returns to #1 on Hot Country Songs after an eight-week interruption by another of Bryan's hits, "Play It Again." This is the fifth week on top for the collaboration.
Meanwhile, Derulo's "Trumpets" leaps from #87 to #56 in its second week on the Hot 100. Will it become the third top five hit from Talk Dirty? Place your bets.
This week's big chart news is Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" leaping into the top 10. I covered this, and the rest of the top 10 action, in a Chart Watch blog that we posted Wednesday. If you missed it, here's a link. This blog is a look at key movers and debuts below the top 10.
The aforementioned Sam Smith lands his third top 20 hit as Disclosure's "Latch," on which he is featured, jumps from #22 to #17 in its 12th week. And he could be on the verge of his fourth: "I'm Not The Only One" is the week's second highest new entry at #69 … Idina Menzel's "Let It Go" rebounds from #28 to #19 in its 28th week. The song peaked at #5 … "Believe Me" by Lil Wayne featuring Drake leaps from #36 to #26 in its second week.
Two songs from Miranda Lambert's Platinum make big moves this week. "Automatic" jumps from #40 to #35 in its 16th week. "Somethin' Bad," a duet with Carrie Underwood, rebounds from #91 to #55 in its third week. The song debuted two weeks ago at #39.(How great would it be if this all-female collabo bumped the aforementioned Florida Georgia Line/Luke Bryan bro-country smash out of the #1 spot on the country chart?) Platinum enters The Billboard 200 at #1 this week.
Sia lands her first top 40 hit as a lead artist as "Chandelier" jumps from #50 to #37 in its fifth week … Dierks Bentley's "Drunks On A Plane" leaps from #65 to #42 in its fourth week … Lady Antebellum's "Bartender" leaps from #77 to #46 in its third week. A different song with the same title by T-Pain featuring Akon reached #5 in 2007.
Charli XCX's "Boom Clap" is the week's highest new entry at #62. It's from The Fault In Our Stars soundtrack, which zooms from #18 to #8 in its third week on The Billboard 200. This is Charli XCX's first Hot 100 hit as a lead artist, following a pair of top 10 featured credits: Icona Pop's "I Love It" and Iggy Azalea's current "Fancy."
Wiz Khalifa's "We Dem Boyz" jumps from #73 to #64 in its eighth week … Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence is the week's third highest new entry at #70. It's the title track from her third studio album, which will compete with albums by Linkin Park and Sam Smith for #1 on the charts that roll out two weeks from today. Ultraviolence is a very timely title given the grim news we keep hearing about mass shootings … "Or Nah" by Ty Dolla $ign featuring Wiz Khalifa & DJ Mustard leaps from #92 to #72 in its 12th week.
Pharrell's "Come Get It Bae" leaps from #99 to #78 in its third week. The Prince-like track had to wait a while for the monster hit "Happy" to begin to recede … Sara Bareilles's "I Choose You" jumps from #94 to #85 in its fourth week. The song has climbed as high as #81 … "Meanwhile Back At Mama's" by Tim McGraw featuring Faith Hill jumps from #100 to #86 in its second week.
Little Big Town's "Day Drinking" debuts at #87. It's from the group's upcoming sixth studio album, Painkiller. Aretha Franklin had a top five hit in 1972 titled "Day Dreaming" … Becky G's "Shower" debuts at #88. It's from her upcoming debut album … "Studio" by ScHoolboy Q featuring BJ The Chicago Kid debuts at #89. It's the third Hot 100 single from his former #1 album, Oxymoron.
Chase Rice's "Ready Set Roll" re-enters the chart at #93 … "Wasted" by Tiesto featuring Matthew Koma debuts at #95. Tiesto's previous hit, "Red Lights," peaked at #56 (and deserved to climb much higher). Both songs are from Tiesto's fifth studio album, A Town Called Paradise, which is due June 16.
Eric Paslay's "Song About A Girl" debuts at #98. It's the second Hot 100 single from his eponymous debut album … AJR's "I'm Ready" debuts at #99. It's from an EP of the same name by the New York City pop band.

Only YouTube is counted right now. They might make a change like they did when Harlem Shake hit, though it's unlikely as the ABM video is nowhere near as popular as the HS videos were.

charismatic Timber and Give Me Everything (his most successful songs to date) peaked on radio around the same time as they peaked on the Hot 100, about 3 months after being released. I would not consider that to be "late".
