Lana Del Rey Lands First No. 1 Album On Billboard 200Singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey captures her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, as "Ultraviolence" bows atop the list. The album, which was released June 17, sold 182,000 in the week ending June 22, according to Nielsen SoundScan -- her best sales week yet.Del Rey's arrival is the largest sales week for a female artist since the week ending Dec. 29, 2013, when Beyonce's self-titled album sold 310,000 in its third week on the chart."Ultraviolence" follows Del Rey's major-label debut album, "Born to Die," which Polydor/Interscope Records released in January 2012. It debuted and peaked at No. 2 with 77,000 sold in its first week (ending Feb. 5, 2012). Del Rey has also charted two EPs: a self-titled effort that hit No. 20 and "Paradise," which reached No. 10. "Born to Die" surpassed 1 million in sales earlier this year in February. Its cumulative total stands at nearly 1.1 million. Notably, "Ultraviolence" captures the No. 1 slot even though Del Rey hasn't performed on American TV in more than two years. She is seemingly taking the less-is-more approach when it comes to promoting the new set, having done only a handful of U.S. print interviews. She has, however, toured and released anumber of music videos for "Ultraviolence." (Del Rey's last U.S. TV performance? The March 22, 2012 edition of "American Idol.") Conversely, Sam Smith -- who was quite visible on TV in the last week -- arrives at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with his debut full-length album, "In the Lonely Hour."The British singer's set sold 166,000 copies -- the largest debut for a solo artist's first album since the week ending Nov. 25, 2012. That week, Phillip Phillips' "The World From the Side of the Moon" launched with 169,000 at No. 4.During release week, Smith played CBS' "Late Show With David Letterman," ABC's "Good Morning America" and ABC's "The View," in addition to a buzzed-about gig at New York's Apollo Theater (joined by Mary J. Blige). He also did the usual round of radio station visits, as well as an in-store album signing event in New York at Rough Trade NYC. Smith is currently riding high on a number of Billboard's airplay charts, including Adult Alternative Songs, where the album's "Stay With Me" rises one rung to No. 1. It also steps 15-14 on Pop Songs, 10-8 on Adult Pop Songs and 21-15 on Adult Contemporary, and debuts at No. 35 on Rhythmic Songs. Following Smith on the Billboard 200 is rock band Linkin Park, who starts at No. 3 with "The Hunting Party." The album, the group's sixth studio effort, enters with 110,000 sold. Its last studio set, 2012's "Living Things," bowed at No. 1 with 223,000. The new release is the act’s first studio set to miss the top slot since its debut album, "Hybrid Theory," peaked at No. 2 in 2002. All told, Linkin Park has notched five No. 1s (four studio sets, plus a mashups effort with Jay Z: "Collision Course"). The week ending June 22 marks the first frame this year where three albums each sold in excess of 100,000 copies. That last happened in the holiday frame ending Dec. 29, 2013. (The last time it occurred when sales weren't pumped by the Christmas shopping season was the week ending Oct. 6, 2013.) The "Frozen" soundtrack dips 3-4 with 42,000 (down 15 percent) in its 26th consecutive week in the top five. The last album to string together a longer top five run was Adele's "21," which spent 29 weeks in the region between Dec. 17, 2011 and June 30, 2012. ("21" actually spent 68 total weeks in the top five, with two separate consecutive runs of 39 and 29 frames.) Back on the Billboard 200, country legend Willie Nelson scores his highest-charting album since 1982 -- and only his third solo top 10 -- as "Band of Brothers" debuts at No. 6 with 37,000 sold. The set was supported by a well-received concert and promotion with shopping channel QVC. Sources suggest the network contributed a significant portion of the album's first-week sales. Nelson last charted higher with "Always on My Mind," which spent four weeks at No. 2 between July 10 and July 31, 1982. "Band of Brothers" is Nelson's second top 10 in a row, following the all-star collaborations set "To All the Girls," which debuted and peaked at No. 9 last November. Like "Band of Brothers," the "Girls" album was promoted through QVC. The album, which included guest turns from the likes of Carrie Underwood and Dolly Parton, debuted with 43,000.Nelson has also collected one other top 10 album: the 1976 collaborations set "Wanted! The Outlaws." The effort, recorded with Waylon Jennings, Jessi Colter and Tompall Glaser, peaked at No. 10. Miranda Lambert's "Platinum" slides 2-6 on the new chart with 34,000 (down 45 percent) while Jack White's "Lazaretto" falls 1-7 with nearly 34,000 (down 75 percent).Pop diva Jennifer Lopez nets her eighth top 10 album as "A.K.A." starts at No. 8 with 33,000. Her last studio set, 2011's "Love?," debuted and peaked at No. 5 with 83,000. The arrival of “A.K.A.” is Lopez's smallest sales debut for any of her studio albums, dipping below the 48,000 bow of her Spanish-language set "Como Ama Una Mujer" in 2007.EDM superstar Deadmau5 lands the sixth and final debut in the top 10, as "while(1<2)" launches at No. 9 with 30,000. The sales number is purely from downloads, as the set was exclusively available digitally in its first week. Its physical CD release arrived a week later, on June 23. The album is the producer-DJ's second top 10 set, following the No. 6 debut and peak of "Album Title Goes Here" (58,000 start).Brantley Gilbert's "Just As I Am" rounds out the top 10, as it descends 4-10 with 26,000 (down 34 percent).Overall album sales in this past chart week (ending June 22) totaled 4.55 million units, down 1 percent compared with the sum last week (4.61 million) and down 17 percent compared with the comparable sales week of 2013 (5.5 million). Year-to-date album sales stand at 116.6 million, down 15 percent compared with the same total at this point last year (137 million). Next week's Billboard 200competes with the same week in 2013 when: Wale's "The Gifted" opened at No. 1 with 158,000, while Kanye West's "Yeezus" fell 1-3 with 65,000 (down 80 percent in its second week).

^No. It's been like that for a few months now.
I'm sure Billbord sent HiphopDX a note saying not to publish the sales numbers before Billboard did.

music.yahoo.com/blogs/chart-watch/chart-watch-del-rey-smith-soar-185724250.html Chart Watch: Del Rey and Smith SoarBy Paul Grein, Yahoo! Chart Watch This week marks the first time in more than nine months that three albums debuted with sales north of 100K. Lana Del Rey's second full-length album, Ultraviolence, sold 182K. Sam Smith's debut album, In The Lonely Hour, sold 166K. Linkin Park's sixth studio album The Hunting Party sold 110K. That's a great result for Del Rey; a big disappointment for Linkin Park. It's more than twice as many copies as Del Rey's first studio album, Born To Die, sold in its first week in January 2012 (77K). But it's less than half of what Linkin Park's last studio album, Living Things, sold in its first week in July 2012 (223K). It almost goes without saying that Ultraviolence enters The Billboard 200 at #1. It's Del Rey's first #1 album. Born To Die debuted and peaked at #2. Del Rey also cracked the top 10 with a subsequent EP, Paradise (#10 in November 2012). Ultraviolence pulls ahead of Miranda Lambert's Platinum (180K) for the biggest one-week sales tally for an album by a female artist so far this year. Del Rey's album also enters The U.K.'s Official Albums Chart at #1. It's the third album to reach #1 in both countries so far this year, following Bruce Springsteen's High Hopes and Coldplay's Ghost Stories. It's the first album by a female artist to reach #1 in both countries since Lady Gaga's ARTPOP scored late last year. In The Lonely Hour debuts at #2. It just misses becoming the second #1 album by an openly gay artist. Adam Lambert's Trespassing was the first, in May 2012. Smith's album spent two weeks at #1 on The U.K.'s Official Albums Chart. Smith, a blue-eyed soul singer who has received a tremendous amount of buzz in the past few months, has a current top 10 hit on the Hot 100 with "Stay With Me." He has also been featured on two other top 20 hits: Disclosure's current "Latch" and Naughty Boy's "La La La." Smith's 166K start is the biggest for a debut album since Phillip Phillips's The World From The Side Of The Moon opened with sales of 169K in November 2012. In The Lonely Hour sold 127K digital copies, which allows it to enter Top Digital Albums at #1. Ultraviolence sold 125K digital copies. This marks just the second time in digital history that two albums sold 125K or more digital copies in one week. It first happened in June 2013 with Kanye West's Yeezus (186K) and J. Cole's Born Sinner (158K). The Hunting Party debuts at #3. This breaks a string of four consecutive #1 studio albums by Linkin Park. It's the lowest-charting of the Los Angeles rock band's six studio albums. The band's debut album, Hybrid Theory, logged four weeks at #2. Here's some good news for Linkin Park: The band has sold 24,712,000 albums in the U.S., more than any other act that has emerged since January 2000. The last time three albums each sold 100K or more in their first week was in the week ending Sept. 8, when albums by Ariana Grande, Tamar Braxton and Nine Inch Nails achieved the feat. The Frozen soundtrack dips from #3 to #4. This is the album's 26th week in the top five. That's the longest run in the top five for a soundtrack from a theatrically-released movie since Whitney Houston's The Bodyguard logged 30 weeks in the top five in 1992-1993. It's #1 on Top Soundtracks for the 30th week. Willie Nelson's Band Of Brothers debuts at #5. It's his second studio album in a row to make the top 10. To All The Girls…, a set of all-star collaborations, reached #9 in October. This marks the first time in Nelson's 52-year recording career that he has had back-to-back top 10 albums. Nelson has pitched these two albums on QVC, which gave him a way to reach his fans. (Few country radio stations still play the octogenarian.) Band Of Brothers enters Top Country Albums at #1, displacing Miranda Lambert's Platinum. It's Nelson's 14th #1 album; his first since The Promiseland in May 1986. Nelson first topped the country chart with Red Headed Stranger in October 1975, before Lambert and many of today's other chart toppers were even born. Jennifer Lopez's A.K.A. debuts at #8. It sold 33K copies. That's the lowest first-week tally for a Lopez album to date, even lower than her 2007 Spanish-language album, Como Ama Una Mujer, which sold 48K in its first week. I explored the reasons for the disappointing showing (including sexism in the music business) in a Chart Watch preview we posted last week. If you missed it, here's a link. Deadmau5's seventh studio album, while (1<2), debuts at #9. It's a digital-only release; the CD will impact next week's chart. It's the second top 10 album in a row for the Canadian dance music star. Album Title Goes Here reached #6 in September 2012. This is Deadmau5's second album title to contain a mathematical symbol. It follows 4X4=12. MAGIC!'s "Rude" jumps to #1 on Hot Digital Songs (210K), displacing "Fancy" by Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX. Will "Rude" also bump "Fancy" from the #1 spot on the Hot 100? You'll find out later today when we post the first of two Chart Watch Songs blogs. Here's a recap of this week's top 10 albums. The Top Five: Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence debuts at #1 (182K). It's her third top 10 album or EP … Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour debuts at #2 (166K). It's his first top 10 album … Linkin Park's The Hunting Party debuts at #3 (110K). It's the band's ninth top 10 album or EP... The Frozen soundtrack dips from #3 to #4 in its 30th week (42K). This is its 28th week in the top 10 … Willie Nelson's Band Of Brothers debuts at #5 (37K). It's his third top 10 album. The Second Five: Miranda Lambert's Platinum drops from #2 to #6 in its third week (34K) … Jack White's Lazaretto tumbles from #1 to #7 in its second week (34K) … Jennifer Lopez's A.K.A. debuts at #8 (33K). It's her eighth top 10 album … Deadmau5's while (1<2) debuts at #9 (30K). It's his second top 10 album … Brantley Gilbert's Just As I Am drops from #4 to #10 in its fifth week (26K). It has been in the top 10 the entire time. Six albums drop out of the top 10 this week. The Fault In Our Stars soundtrack drops from #5 to #13. Now 50 drops from #6 to #11. Coldplay's Ghost Stories drops from #7 to #12. The Black Keys's Turn Blue drops from #8 to #14. Michael Jackson's Xscape drops from #9 to #17. Now Country 7 drops from #10 to #22. David Gray's 10th studio album, Mutineers, debuts at #15 … Mali Music's Mali Is… debuts at #16. It's the third album (and first major-label album) by the contemporary soul gospel singer … Tiesto's fifth studio album, A Town Called Paradise, debuts at #18 … Led Zeppelin's 1969 album Led Zeppelin drops from #16 to #26. It's #1 on Top Catalog Albums for the third week. The Think Like A Man Too soundtrack, featuring Mary J. Blige, debuts at #30. The movie was #1 at the box-office over the weekend … The Aladdin Broadway cast album re-enters the chart at #44. It's #1 on Top Cast Albums, displacing If/Then: A New Musical. The Aladdin movie soundtrack peaked at #6 in February 1993. Frankie Valli & the 4 Seasons's 2005 compilation The Very Best Of… finally cracks the chart at #63. The digital-only compilation has sold 194K copies since it was released to coincide with the hit Broadway musical, Jersey Boys. The current chart breakthrough is due to the release of the film version of the show. Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience: 2 Of 2 tops the 1 million mark in its 38th week of release. JT's first 20/20 album hit 1M in its second week. But, at least 2 Of 2 finally got there. Coming Attractions: Look for Ed Sheeran's x to debut at #1 next week with first-week sales in the 175K range. Two other albums are likely to debut in the top 10: G-Eazy's These Things Happen (about 35K) and Phish's Fuego (about 20K).

Thanks for posting. Didn't even notice that Cher Lloyd's album dropped off last week, after just the second week.

www.billboard.com/biz/articles/news/chart-alert/6141047/chart-moves-dave-matthews-bands-remember-debuts-keith-jarrettChart Moves: Dave Matthews Band's 'Remember' Debuts, Keith Jarrett Clocks First No. 1, 'Lego' Soundtrack Has 'Awesome' Gain By Keith Caulfield, Los Angeles | June 27, 2014 This week on the Billboard 200 albums chart, Lana Del Rey scored her first No. 1 album as her latest release, "Ultraviolence," arrived in the top slot. The singer/songwriter's second full-length set for Polydor/Interscope Records sold 182,000 copies in the week ending June 22, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Del Rey wasn't the only news on the chart, though, so let's take a look at some of the list's other movers and shakers outside the top 10: -- Original Broadway Cast Recording, "Aladdin" - No. 45 - The album's June 17 release on CD spurs its 473 percent sales gain and re-entry at No. 45 (6,000 sold). The album saw its digital release three weeks earlier; its total sales stand at 11,000. -- Dave Matthews Band, "Remember Two Things" - No. 49 - The group's 1993 live album -- which has sold 1.1 million -- finally arrives on the chart after it was reissued on June 17. It sold 6,000 for the week, marking its best frame since Dec. 24, 2000. All told, "Remember" is the group's 24th charting album, stretching back to when "Under the Table and Dreaming" debuted at No. 34 on the Oct. 15, 1994 chart. It later peaked at No. 11 on June 10, 1995. The band has notched a total of 12 top 10 albums -- six of which reached No. 1. -- Boston, "Greatest Hits" - No. 54 - The album pushes up the chart (130-54) thanks to strong sales of the CD at venues along the band's current concert tour (5,000, up 65 percent). In two weeks' time, it has sold 8,000 -- 30 percent of the album's total sales in 2014. -- Willie Nelson, "Natural Renegade: Opus Collection" - No. 61 - Nelson's Starbucks-exclusive greatest hits set, released in 2007, debuts with 5,000 at No. 61 (up 2,879 percent) and marks Nelson's 72nd chart entry. Absent from the market since its initial release, the album capitalizes on the release of his new "Band of Brothers" set (which opens at No. 5). -- Soundtrack, "The Lego Movie" - No. 84 - "The LEGO Movie" soundtrack makes an awesome return to the list at No. 84 with a 404 percent sales gain, following the film's June 17 release on home video. The soundtrack's "Everything Is Awesome!!!" (by Tegan and Sara featuring the Lonely Island) gains by 105 percent in downloads (15,000 for the week). -- Keith Jarrett / Charlie Haden, "Last Dance" - No. 94 - Veteran jazz pianist Jarrett -- whose discography of more than 70 albums dates back to 1968 -- concurrently earns his first No. 1 on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart with the debut of this collaborative set on ECM Records/Universal Music Classics (3,000 sold). (It's Haden's second leader.) Jarrett has been a presence on the Traditional Jazz Albums chart for decades -- a list that launched on March 11, 1967. He's been especially successful on the list in recent years, notching 18 of his top 10 albums since 2000. -- The Notorious B.I.G., "Greatest Hits" - No. 104 - Digital discounting on the title brings it back to the list at No. 104 with a 124 percent sales gain, as it rises by 192 percent in downloads.
