I can't believe we haven't had a thread for this subject yet though we've covered it in the non-singles and news thread before. Everyone has those songs we enjoy that most others don't and might even be a bit embarrassed by. Even if they're just "diddies" that you love. :)
1. "Do You Want Fries With That" - Tim McGraw (lyrics are really corny but I love the bitterness and the instrumentation) 2. "Big Blue Note" - Toby Keith 3. "Hillbillies" - Hot Apple Pie (their album was so good IMO. Great production, cool instrumentation and smooth vocals from Brady) 4. "Brand New Girlfriend" - Steve Holy (no excuses here) 5. "Talkin' Song Repair Blues" - Alan Jackson 6. "Last Dollar (Fly Away)" - Tim McGraw (can certainly have done without they "ha, ha, ha, ha's" though) 7. "Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off" - Joe Nichols (this is just a diddy that is admittedly a stupid song subject but the melody and Joe's vocals are excellent) 8. "Bomshel Stomp" - Bomshel (lots of fiddle, which is always a plus) 9. "International Harvester" - Craig Morgan (don't really have an excuse for this one either) 10. "XXL" - Keith Anderson

"Get Me Some of That" - Thomas Rhett (I know the lyrics are SO bad but I love everything else)
"This Is How We Roll" - Florida Georgia Line f/ Luke Bryan (the lyrics and rapping in the 2nd verse are crap but I always find myself jamming to this. FGL in general is a guilty pleasure)
"Boys 'Round Here" - Blake Shelton (Blake's playful performance won me over)
"Party Like Cowboyz" - Big & Rich (to be quite honest I don't know why I like this)
Off the top of my head, there's probably more.

I know that Florida-Georgia Line has a bad reputation which I wholeheartedly agree with, but I consider "Round Here" to be the lesser of the many evils they've put out thus far. I also agree with sabre14 about Tim McGraw's tunes DYWFWT and LD; I don't think both of them are that bad. Oh yeah, at the time it came out, I also didn't mind Rascal Flatts' "Bob That Head" that much, but felt that it's underwhelming chart performance was due to it being released too late. And don't be ashamed to like anything Brooks & Dunn, .indulgecountry.

I also would say "Bob that Head" didn't do well, because well the title... Along with the lyrics, vocals, and production. ;) All in good fun of course. I have plenty of songs I listed that are equally embarrassing.

Honky Tonk Badonkadonk - Trace Adkins 10. Turn On The Radio - Reba McEntire That's some off the top of my head, I'm sure I'll think of some more

1. That's My Kind of Night - Luke 2. Hillbilly Deluxe - Brooks and Dunn 3. Every revved up Craig Morgan song - Bonfire, international Harvester, This Ole Boy 4. Every cheesy Toby Keith song. I was not a fan of the last album but have loved some pretty maligned stuff (Trailerhood, Every Dog Has His Day, Made in America to name a few) 5. Trace Adkins' Brown Chicken, Brown Cow AND Just Fishin' (even though it doesn't have a melody) 6. Country Boy - Alan Jackson 7. Tangled Up - Billy Currington 8. Party for Two - Shania and Billy 9. Name the Cheesy McGraw tune and I liked it - except for Looking for That Girl. Yes, even Truck Yeah and Suspicions 10. I'm sure there are many others...

One other is "Honky Tonk Stomp" by Brooks & Dunn. Something about this song makes it enjoyable, can't really identify it..
Hunter Hayes - "Wanted". Felt there was some passion to the performance that won me over.

Agree with pretty much all of sabre14's choices. "Bomshel Stomp" was a ton of fun. One of the stations around here actually spun it before it was even a single. Here are some more of mine: "Achy Breaky Heart" and many of Billy Ray's earlier rockin' songs. He was a surprisingly good vocalist and his hard rock production really made him stand out. "Bob That Head". Yeah, yeah, I know, it's a terrible song. But in my book, it's so terrible that it swings around to being good again. "Boys 'Round Here". The playful delivery and interesting production make it work in my book. "Country Girl (Shake It for Me)" and "Play It Again". I still don't consider myself much of a Luke fan, and so you'd think I'd hate these. But to me they're just playful enough to work, and his voice doesn't sound as harsh as it can on some. I also like that the former has a strong beat and is in Dorian mode, a real rarity for a country song. "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk", "Brown Chicken Brown Cow", "Swing", "Ala-Freakin-Bama", etc… for some reason, I just can't ever find it in me to dislike any of Trace's novelty songs. I think it's because there's a dry humor to his delivery. (On the other hand, my love of "Hot Mama" is completely unironic. Why do so many people hate that song anyway?) "Watermelon Crawl". I hated this song when I was a kid, but now I can revel in its stupidity. Most of Shania Twain's uptempo material. They're songs that I don't really listen to for the lyrics, but they're pretty darn good ear candy IMO. ETA: "Truck Yeah" never bothered me the way it did most of y'all. Also, I think I'm starting to have a love-hate relationship with "Ready Set Roll". Pray for me. *snerk*

Even though I have bashed FGL from single #2 onward (mainly because of lack of difference in their sound), i still crank CRUISE on a summer day driving around, especially if i am at the beach. So kill me...it's one of the greatest hooks LOL. I really hope album #2 broadens their horizon. I do think the guys are talented and work hard, just try to change it up a bit. Or dump Joey Moi! LOL

"Achy Breaky Heart" and many of Billy Ray's earlier rockin' songs. He was a surprisingly good vocalist and his hard rock production really made him stand out. That's another of mine admittedly. Is it a masterpiece for a uptempo song? No. But it really wasn't as bad as it was made out to be. His dancing and hair I felt was much of the negative feedback on that song, and I agree, the dancing and giant mullet was not good, but the song itself was fine to me.

Is Gunfire and Lead really a guilty pleasure? It seems like all her other uptempos.

Maybe the artist themselves you find to be guilty pleasures but not those two songs. I really enjoyed "Rollin' Though The Sunshine" too. Though "That Thang" by Fast Ryde might have been my least favorite song released to country radio til "Ready Set Roll" came along. I don't know why I somewhat enjoyed "Come On Over" but perhaps the reason was the co-writing help from Rachel Proctor along with Jessica's follow up single. "If You Don't Wanna Love Me" might have had rap, but at least Cowboy Troy's music isn't played on country radio. The song itself is very powerful and Sarah Buxton's vocals along with the music video were fantastic. I also don't understand why there is dislike for "Corn Fed"? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I didn't like "Men Buy The Drinks (Girls Call The Shots)" but the reason was the annoying background singers. Without that element it would have been OK. But "Family Tree" by Her and Kings County and "Merry Go Round" by the JaneDear Girls. Now those are the definition of guilty pleasure. Those two are certainly my limit. Lol

Agree on Alabama's God Must've Spent.....
But it has to be the version with N'SYNC for me. Didn't like either's 'solo' versions.
