10. KATY PERRY – Dark Horse: 88.590 (+ 0.081) Really bish, really. This is why radio is on the decline. Poor on Billboard's part not to explain that "Break Free" was not available for the whole week (it obviously had a better 4 days than Amnesia), but the total still pales in comparison--on a day-by-day basis--to that of "Problem." My guess is anyone paying attention to a Billboard report already knows that, anyway. Plus, who really cares outside of Ariana's fans? It's not headline news.

Well, ordinarily, they do love pointing out milestones or various minutiae to keep readers engaged. I mean, even with 5SOS in that same section, they managed to point out the 4 top 40 hits achievement this year. I would think mentioning about the pace of the sales already beating Problem despite having fewer days would spice up the article a bit.

To this day they insist on pointing out that "Born This Way" didn't have a full opening week

I guess Fancy is the song of the summer but it doesn't feel like it's everywhere like "Call Me Maybe" or "Blurred Lines" was or that it has that it factor. There were a lot of video parodies done for Call Me Maybe that really added to its popularity and Blurred lines was always talked about because of its controversial video. Other than the feud, Fancy just doesn't seem to have that kind of buzz. I'll be happy when another song takes its place for #1. LOLz. I remember people last year saying Blurred Lines didn't feel like a song of summer like "Call Me Maybe" did. And people saying "Call Me Maybe" didn't feel like a song of summer like "Party Rock Anthem" did.

Party Rock Anthem all time chart: #5 Call Me Maybe all time chart: #46 Blurred Lines all time chart (guess): #25 Fancy all time chart (guess): #80 Idk. All these songs, felt big at the time and so did Happy, STIUTK, and RITD. And nobody can deny that PRA was massive. I think Fancy's the same, but in a different way if you know what I mean. It's huge in Youtube, hence why you don't hear of it being as big.

9/10 correct, nice! I thought for sure Latch would make it to the top 10 this week and didn't think Maps would...I guess the music video (which I didn't really like) helped it quite a bit in streaming...

Ouch if Latch doesn't reach top 10 like Same Love last year.

Fancy all time chart (guess): #80 As of right now? Fancy wouldn't come close to the top 200 I don't think. Maybe after it's doubled (or more) it's chart run.

So none of you agrees with Billboard that "Dark Horse" should miraculously jump back into the top 10 and keep a couple of promsing pop singles from Maroon 5 and Latch feat Sam Smith from entering? Me neither. That's one of the reason's why I question this charts integrety. Obviously "Birthday" didn't have the Pop appeal to go to number one, but Billboard still must feature a Katy Perry song in the top 10. Katy's record label has a lot to do with that song's miraculous jump back into the top 10.

Dark Horse hasn't been in the top ten on the actual Hot 100 for more than a month now, and Birthday hasn't gone more than #17. The charts posted in this thread so far are (and correct me if I'm wrong) all genre radio charts (I don't know where, does somebody else know?) that may affect the Hot 100 a slight bit. Seriously, you're going to have to give a lot more evidence than fast chart runs (that have justification if you pay attention to the chart, for the record) and way too ambiguous "ex radio DJs" or whatever you were trying to claim you knew.

Or is it possible that people just LOVE Dark Horse? Look at how well how many views its constantly getting... But that can't be the explanation, it's the label paying pop radio to play it...

Me. I am spoilt I know that video is her record company making fun of the fact that poeple now say she's joined the fictional illumutti; but even then, that's gotta be the worst vid I've seen this year. yeah, I totally agree with you.

Wow at "Riptide"'s and "Habits"'s Spotify numbers. Neither have truly broken out yet and they have potential. They were two of my favorites early on this year and it would be great to see them become big hits here.

Or is it possible that people just LOVE Dark Horse? Look at how well how many views its constantly getting... But that can't be the explanation, it's the label paying pop radio to play it... A lot of people just put on youtube videos (yes, even with Spotify around) at get-togethers and pregames. They do this for longer periods with some songs than others. Dark Horse is one of those songs.

How has Stay With Me been #1 on Digital Songs the past two weeks when it's been behind Rude all this time? There must be another version somewhere but I don't see it.
