Yeah, I'm also unsure about it. I heard it when the edge debuted it the other day but haven't given it a second listen yet. After a few listens I'm already burned out on it (RE: Mother Mother - "Get Out the Way"). That's not good.

Pipa it's THROWBACK THURSDAY! I'm gonna go back 13 years for mine. Multi-format + Much Music success in Canada. That's as good as it can get for a CanCon-exclusive Rock/Alt song.

Good choice. I preferred "Black Black Heart" myself (the original, not the "rock" remix the radio played).

I LOVED David's Morning Orbit album. I remember buying it after hearing Alone In The Universe just a few times and knowing very little else about him. I didn't like the original Black Black Heart though. I prefer the rock remix (that's also the hidden track at the end of the album). Pop and Hot AC radio played a slightly faster version than the album version as well, which I preferred. But yes, LOVE the album!

I love how "Black Me Out" is doing so well on Canadian Alt.

I love how "Black Me Out" is doing so well on Canadian Alt. It went top 10 on Active too. They do really well up here for some reason, to the point of having extra singles (Stop!).

I'm REALLY digging "Trainwreck 1979" right now. And I was never a huge DFA 1979 fan when they were around in 04.

I know it's not Thursday, but I just had to post these. I'm sure you guys remember Serial Joe from "Mistake" or "Unintended", but here's what they used to sound like:
...Yeah. Someone wanted to be Rage Against the Machine when they grew up. Still miles better than Limp.

3rd single from USS' "Advanced Basics" EP/LP/Whateveryouwannacallit is "Shipwreck"
Better than "Yin Yang" and significantly better than "This Is [Far From] The Best [Single We've Released. In Fact, It's Probably The Worst]"

Hey, I loved "This Is the Best" because it was fun and I pretended it was a response to Rob Ford. "Yin Yang" was good too, but I found it boring and it burnt out pretty quick for me.

Just asking, cuz Canada and they never had a charting hit in the US. Is it any different across the border

"This is the Best" wipes the floor with all their other singles. But this one is good too.

Oh so it's Thursday now in the Eastern Time Zone, so I'll take advantage of that and put up my Throwback Thursday vid before I head off to bed. Similar to Said The Whale's "I Love You", this was so big among alt and rock stations in Canada that it managed to squeak into the US alternative top 40 for a few weeks, probably without an adds date. Green Baron American Idiot and @dangermouz I can't imagine any of you not liking this song. I'm sure the Canadians here all know this well and like it too.

Lol, believe it or not I don't like most of Matthew Good's songs at all. But this one is almost tolerable.

It's an oldie but goodie. If I remember, it got some decent airplay on my former local Alternative station down here at the time.
