OK. In the Ebro interview, there were a LOT less filler words/phrases (i.e. ummm...you know...) and articulation. Also, she said the album is abstract. If that was her goal, she definitely achieved it, so congrats! While I still maintain it's her weakest project, it has grown on me and I can listen to it without being annoyed. I hope this was just Brandy purging her thoughts and she can get with writers and producers that focus her more next time.

Say Something No Tomorrow Borderline Bye BiPolar I Am More Rather Be
I suddenly came to terms with this sound she's going for today. Couldn't finish this album at first, but after 6-7 listens it started to click.
The "Borderline"-"No Tomorrow"-"Say Something" trio is the essence to me. I also love her songwriting on "Bye BiPolar". This is definitely a Brandy album that her fans will keep arguing about...

I listened for a second time. I think my issue with the album on the first listen is the sequence of the track list. The production and vocal delivery on some tracks are a little distracting.
My ranking of the songs...
1. Baby Mama 2. Love Again 3. Say Something 4. No Tomorrow 5. High Heels 6. Rather Be 7. Lucid Dreams 8. Unconditional Oceans 9. I Am More 10. Bye Bipolar 11. Borderline 12. Saving All My Love

For a marginal UAC hit and no promo, that's good numbers! Get it Brandy!

I gave it another spin and the back half of the album clicked more for me. Unconditional Oceans thru All My Life Pt. 2 sound like one never ending track, whereas "No Tomorrow" and "Say Something" grabbed back my attention and the rest carried it through to the end.
It's similar to Full Moon for me in that regard where the tracks between "I Thought" and "Can We" blend together and then again after "He Is"

A top 10 for her 7th, especially indie, not bad!

Yeah, this is not clicking for me. Do I need to get high for this? It certainly helps. The more I play this (and I do keep finding myself wanting to listen to it for some odd reason), the more I feel that it is unfair that Jhene Aiko can coast by on MULTIPLE albums of over 20 songs of water kettle playing and abstract nothings, yet Brandy is raked over the coals. To be fair, completely abstract has NEVER been Brandy's lane, so it's...jarring that she dove so deep into that particular pond. Then, she throws curveballs like Baby Mama, I Am More, and High Heels on the album, which sound like they came from another project altogether. I am in LOVE with No Tomorrow. I think it's my favorite now. Memorable melody and clear vocals. Edit: Come THROUGH, BranNu with dem sales and position!!

When was the last time an eOne album went Top 10? I'm seeing a lot of positive reviews for this project. So happy for her!

The album is sold out on her site, fans on US are having a hard time to find it on Target
I think eOne were not prepared for this lol

God is blessing her for her humility this time around. Whatever darkness she has gone through has certainly brought her to the light. Watching her interviews, I see a positive change in her, like the cloud and negative attitude around her is gone.

After quite a few listens, I'm coming around. I think she sounds amazing, but this album is definitely a grower. Some albums are like that and there's nothing bad about that either. All of my favorite artists have an album or two that I either don't like or it took me a while to warm up to it.

Baby Mama definitely grew on me! It's cute and catchy and I remember the lyrics. My favorite is, "On stage like a daddy!"

The album is beautiful. It's grotesque at some points, it's raw, it's something you have to feel. It tells a story if you really take in all the lyrics and I love I Am More, Borderline, Say Something, Lucid Dreams, Rather Be, and SAML. She's carving her own lane and I'm glad she took some risks. It may not be immediate to some people but it's clear that this was crafted to give you a peak into what's been going on with her these past 8 years and this definitely helped her heal.

Borderline, High Heels, and I Am More are my jams right now. I think people are harshly judging the album, it's no Never Say never, Full Moon, or Afrodisiac but it's decent IMO

Brandy's albums are almost always like that for me, there's always so many layers it takes a few listens for the ear condom to come off.

I like the album overall. I just feel she is missing 2 uptempos and I would ditch High heels and Lucid dreams and those 3 random interludes that serve no purpose and we would have a really strong offering.
based on what's on the album She really should've gone with "Say Something" as the lead single, but I think she felt like she needed an Uptempo for the lead. That song really has the age appropriate vibe for her and I think could've been big at urban AC.
