She has been looking so good lately. I love the short do and her body is sick. I could've done without that eye shadow, but you can't win them all.

I'm so happy for my girl. She looks so radiant lately, Chicago has been huge for her, and she's booking all these TV roles on Empire, Zöe Moon and stuff. It's a good time to be a stan.
I'm just missing the new music, but that can wait imo. Hopefully she'll get to work with new producers since I didn't enjoy Two Eleven much.

Brandy Set To Release 5 Song EP Produced By DJ CamperIt’s been almost 3 years since we heard a Brandy project. Her last album “Two Eleven” was a reintroduction for her and enabled her to connect with old fans and also the new generation with songs like “Put It Down”. Since then, it’s been pretty quiet on the music front and it seems she’s spent more time focusing on her acting career with her role as Chardonnay on BET’s TV show The Game. However, there have been pictures of Brandy in the studio with producers recently and one of them happens to be DJ Camper. YouKnowIGotSoul had a chance to speak with the Grammy nominated producer about his upcoming work with Brandy which includes an EP: “She called me and she wants to do a mixtape or EP with me. It’s just something for the fans and for the people. It’s going to be a 5 song type of thing, so we’re definitely working on that. Be on the lookout for that very soon. Working with her is a joy and she’s one of my idols. I think we can change the world especially in R&B and Soul music. It doesn’t get any better than that!”And when asked to explain the sound of the project: “It’s something refreshing. I’m not putting Brandy in the club. You won’t hear Brandy in the strip club or in elements like that. When you think of Brandy now, think of stadium status or arenas. Think of like the movie 300 with the Romans. It’s going to be big and classic. That’s what I’m having her around this time around. If you think Coldplay is big, watch what Brandy does.”youknowigotsoul.com/exclusive-brandy-set-to-release-5-song-ep-produced-by-dj-camperOmfff Bran!

Obviously want new music but if she uses a 5 track EP to delay a real album for another 3+ years I will be so annoyed.

Brandy Norwood Extends Run in "Chicago"The name on everybody's lips? Brandy! By popular demand, Brandy Norwood has extended her run as Roxie Hart in Broadway’s long-running revival of Kander & Ebb’s “Chicago.” The Grammy-winning singer, who originally signed on for an eight-week limited engagement in “Chicago” from April 28 through June 21, will now remain with the production through Aug. 2 at the Ambassador Theatre. Norwood won’t be in the show, however, for performances on June 22-23 and June 27-28, due to a scheduling conflict. In addition to selling more than 40 million albums worldwide, Norwood is also an accomplished actress. She spent six seasons in the title role of the hit sitcom “Moesha,” and was recently awarded a 2014 NAACP Image Award for her role as Chardonnay on BET’s “The Game.” “Chicago” marks Norwood’s Broadway debut -- though it isn’t her first musical. She starred opposite Whitney Houston in the 1997 TV adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.” For tickets and showtimes to see Brandy in “Chicago,” visit ChicagoTheMusical.com.

Wow, great for her. I wonder if she will really be on "Empire" because they start filming the second season this month. Maybe that's why she won't be at some of the shows in June.

I am going to try to see this because Chicago is one of the few musicals I really enjoyed (well, the movie, anyway).

I definitely need this Bran'Nu album! Now that Vocal Bible has added Broadway to her repertoire and that voice has been working for the gawds, she'll sound even better. I'm ready!

LMAO. At 16:55, she said she was disappointed after "Two Eleven" because she wasn't ready and didn't fully "believe." Before an album comes out, she always has an epiphany about her life and career. Then, after the album comes out, she dismisses the album and is back in the same place. It's actually really sad that she's so insecure and unsure of herself. I hope she's as ready as she says she is this time.

I think her issue is that she was so used to massive success at such a young age that she doesn't know how to accept that commercial numbers are not the end all be all of success.
It's sad because she was so confident and proud of Two Eleven back in 2012, and the album didnt even do badly all things considered.

Saw her in Chicago over the weekend. She's such a treat - very fun, spunky energy as Roxie. Great vocals too. Haven't followed her career much, but I'll definitely have to start paying more attention.

I don't think she was dismissing "Two Eleven"; she's said before that she was proud of the album itself but was disappointed in the lack of success. As far as I know, the only album she's shaded is "Human", specifically the Rodney tracks.

I see what Rico Love was talking about now That's a good thing, we don't want Rico anywhere near a Brandy album, and Monica too.

I think Brandy was so used to winning she didn't know how it felt to fail. But truth be told her career began to decline ever since 2002. With every album she released her returns on the sales portion dwindle. And when an album didn't succeed she shaded it. But it's nice to see her in a better place I'm looking forward to this EP.

I think those guys pointed her in the direction of labeling Two Eleven as a "what happened??" kind of moment. If they had praised it, I wonder if she would've had the same response. Either way, she needs to get to a place where she realizes that she's never going to have another huge pop hit again and just be proud of the music she makes.
