Was Drake ever considered a hard core rapper?

Hardcore or not, I feel the exact opposite anyway - I need one full sangin' ***I'M RACIST*** album from him. Still salty we never got the r&b mixtape that he was working on before TC came out.

I still play the hell out of his cover of "Fanmail" from TLC under the guise of "I Get Lonely Too". WHERE IS ITS NEVER ENOUGH AUBREY?!

I only want singers to make singing albums, especially when it comes to R&B. Therefore, I will take him sticking to the combo of mopey and braggadocious postering plus simpering monotone drone that he gives on each album. It's what works for him.

He damn trolled us with Fake Love, it's pretty much the worst song on the project. I've accepted that he won't be topping Take Care anytime soon ever since Nyquilgroove became his default crossover style, but this is an improvement on Views as a whole (nothing quite like Controlla though...) and drags less from the length.

After postponing his Amsterdam show(s) twice, he was finally supposed to perform last night, but after 1,5 hours of waiting it was announced he was too sick to go on stage. Apparently he was puking backstage because he couldn't handle the Dutch weed.

This such a quiet "era." Interest is too spread out among songs and Drake's visibility seems quite low. Strategy like this makes me miss the classic roll out of an epic era with a distinct lead single and follow-ups spread out over months.

He can call it a playlist, a mixtape, whatever he wants. If it's for sale as an album, it's not a mixtape.

If You're Reading This It's Too Late and What a Time to Be Alive were also considered mixtapes, and for both of them Drake waited months before 'officially' backing one song as a single. If that was what he is doing now his lack of effort would make more sense, but Passionfruit and Free Smoke have already been sent to radio to linger.
He's listed as a performer at the BBMAs(! when was the last time he showed up to an award show as a performer?) and I'm betting that will be the extent of promo we get from him.

I believe they scrapped the physical release, which is fine because I refuse to pay for a Drake album twice like I did with If You're Reading this... #foolmeonce

Welp of course Drake did not perform any of his singles but Gyalchester instead. I really hoped he would give at least tiny bit of promo to Passionfruit but nope.

Set the new record for most Billboard Music Award wins in a single night with 13 (previous record: Adele with 12).

Set another Billboard record by charting on the Hot 100 every single week since Best I Never Had debuted at #92 on May 23, 2009 (8 years and counting).

What happened to the song with Jennifer Lopez? The track with another duet partner is on the "cd"". When J Lo was asked if the song was going to be on the cd or where was it? She said the track she worked on was on his cd. She then said maybe they will use parts of her's for a remix?? This was right after the supposed breakup.

Drake's VEVO channel uploaded first video since Hotline Bling in 2015. I hope that means he made peace with VEVO and performances or official audio videos will appear in there in the future because I am f**king sick of putting bootlegs in YT playlists.
