The second-week projection for Yankovic's album is in line with the norm; same for Mraz, though it will hold up a little better than the former.
The record-buying public is doing anything but letting go of the projected No. 2 album.

No Happy/Dark Horse/All of Me debate here, on the album side, we know what #1 for the year will be

I knew 275k was impossible; that's practically what the EP sold in total

For the week of July 13-19, Frozen was No. 3 on Rentrak's DVD & Blu-Ray sales chart (18th week), so the music is still reaching- and touching- people.

Mary Poppins only has a little animation, so Frozen's already logged the most weeks in the top 10 for an animated film. :)
If released when album sales were higher, it probably would see Lion-King-like sales. For this climate, though, it's a smash.

Why? Isn't it kind of amazing or fascinating that a soundtrack to a kids' movie has lasted in the top ten since the end of December? I hope it makes it in the top ten fifty-two weeks, just because that would be pretty cool.

^Do you like the movie and/or music? If not, would the dominance be annoying if it were something you loved?

www.billboard.com/articles/news/6189091/5-seconds-of-summer-billboard-200-predictions5 Seconds of Summer Sales Sizzle: No. 1-Bound on Billboard 200 Chart By Keith Caulfield | July 25, 2014 6:55 PM EDT The Australian band set to rock the top of the Billboard 200 chart with debut full-length self-titled album. Pop/rock band 5 Seconds of Summer are set to charge in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart next week with their self-titled full-length debut album. Industry sources suggest the set might sell 250,000 copies in the week ending July 27. (The number could end up just shy of 250,000 -- but the quarter-million mark is definitely within their sights.) The group's Hey Or Hi/Capitol Records album follows their debut EP, She Looks So Perfect, which debuted and peaked at No. 2 earlier this year. It sold 143,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. 5 Seconds of Summer would give the Billboard 200 chart its third act in a row to earn their first No. 1, following "Weird Al" Yankovic and fellow Australian act Sia. The latter two debuted at No. 1 in the last two weeks with Mandatory Fun and 1000 Forms of Fear, respectively. 5 Seconds of Summer could become the first Australian band to hit No. 1 since AC/DC's Black Ice spent two weeks atop the list in 2008 (Nov. 8 and Nov. 15). Other albums aiming for sizable starts next week -- but nowhere near 5 Seconds of Summer -- include Common's Nobody's Smiling and Crown the Empire's The Resistance: Rise of the Runaways. The former might sell around 20,000, while the latter could do 18,000. On SoundScan's Building chart (below), 5 Seconds of Summer is No. 1, followed by the unstoppable Frozen soundtrack at No. 2. The Building tally is a precursor to the final Billboard 200 ranking -- reflecting the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week as reported by six major merchants. Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour is No. 3, while Kidz Bop Kids' Kidz Bop 26 is No. 4 and Common is No. 5. Crown the Empire is No. 6, with Ed Sheeran's x at No. 7 and Jason Mraz's YES! at No. 8. Rounding out the top 10 are "Weird Al" Yankovic's Mandatory Fun at No. 9 and Anberlin's new release Lowborn at No. 10. NIELSEN SOUNDSCAN BUILDING CHART Rank LW BB 200 Artist Title 1 NEW 5 Seconds of Summer 5 Seconds of Summer 2 5 Soundtrack Frozen 3 6 Sam Smith In the Lonely Hour 4 4 Kidz Bop Kids Kidz Bop 26 5 NEW Common Nobody's Smiling 6 NEW Crown the Empire The Resistance: Rise of the Runaways 7 7 Ed Sheeran x 8 2 Jason Mraz YES! 9 1 "Weird Al" Yankovic Mandatory Fun 10 NEW Anberlin Lowborn The Building Chart reflects the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week (which ends Sunday) as reported by six major merchants: iTunes, Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Starbucks, Target and Anderson Merchandisers. Billboard estimates that they make up about 85% of all U.S. album sales.

^Indeed. I didn't see the movie until a few weeks ago, but I liked seeing its dominance even prior to that.

Yes, my list was 1963-present. Probably should have stated that.
This was the point where there was a single 200 position deep album chart.
West Side Story from 1961-1963 was a bit of an anomaly here, spending a still record 54 weeks at #1 and overlapping both eras
