Aside from this being unoriginal, it's an incredibly catchy pop song. The only part I hate is the bridge. Overall, it sounds like a catchy over-produced Colbie Caillat song w/ parts sounding like Karmin meets Avril meets Kesha. I'm curious to see how not having the country audience w/ impact sales for the album in the USA. I guess this song never really stood a chance w/ me, since I was comparing it to 22 and IKYWT instantly. Maybe it will grow on me.

i really really tried to like this song and i listened to it over and over BUT it didn't work  This song is awful and it's her worst single to date, WANEGBT sounds like a masterpiece compared to this !!! |

This is underwhelming on the first few listens. Almost all the songs on her last 2 albums were stronger than this. The bridge may be my favorite part. I'm actually surprised that I liked it as little as I did. Same. The chorus-- especially the last one-- is just so one dimensional. It's not bad, just incredibly unremarkable. Really wanted this to grow on me but it's not sticking. |

It's all really flat to me and doesn't come close to the Max Martin productions on Red. But whatever, she'll get her hit with this and I'm sure the album will have more to my taste and what I wanted to hear. |

I don't know what it is with Taylor Swift, I just can't get into her music all that much. She has no identity to me, or she's killing whatever she had. If anything, she's much better as a country star than a pop star.

This very much reminds me of "Girlfriend." Not that the song is similar, but the feeling is very similar. Hopefully she doesn't botch the second single like Avril did.

This is not the first time she had done 80s pop before,she did a year ago on "Sweeter Than Fiction" which came and went before on the charts. For anyone who follows Taylor Swift,this shouldn't be any hate for this at all.

It sounds like Diane Young by Vampire Weekend. Not sure what I think right now. I fear that this is a horrible step for her career. I think people really love country Taylor not pop Taylor. Hopefully I am wrong though.

Basically this, although I myself don't think it's awful. Everything else though is what I'm feeling as well. It certainly is catchy and sticks in your head, but I'll take WANEGBT over this. As much as I enjoy Taylor's country music, I'm very excited for a full pop album.
I really like the horns and entire production of the song. I'm not a fan of the ending. I feel like it goes on too long, but there will probably be a radio edit. Other than that, this is pretty much the perfect lead single for her new era.
I just really love almost everything Taylor does and can't wait to see this smash.

Man, I can't stop listening to this one. The video is pure gold. I wish I could make 20 gifs out of it.
Oftentimes I don't like repetition in songs, but in this one the "players gonna play play play play" etc. and "haters gonna hate hate" etc. is sooo catchy.
This song is going to be huge. I can see multiple weeks atop the Hot 100...I think it could be as big as songs like "Happy", "We Are Young", "Call Me Maybe", some of KP's big hits, etc. I honestly think this will be Taylor's biggest global hit yet.
