No I don't agree with the fading away comments anymore. Maybe from 2008-2014 but starting in 2015 she was feeling it and this year she clearly loves it again.

She said on an interview earlier today that she felt weird and was jet-lagged, and you could definitely tell. Still, this was on par with pretty much all of her Vegas shows (which isn't bad), but definitely not up to the iHeart performance.
I'm praying she performs something new when she does the Jonathan Ross show-- which is tomorrow, I think?

She does a show on jet leg and here come the comments about her being unhappy and needing to go away. Why are people always so dramatic when it comes to Britney?.
They asked her in a radio interview this era about how much longer does she want to continue on and she said she wants at least 10 more albums. She's talked so much about how proud she is of this album and we haven't seen her perform with this much spark and happiness post breakdown. She's also doing more promo than she ever has in over 10 years. She clearly wants to do this. People need to stop over analyzing every little thing with her. It's exhausting.

Just watched parts of the festival. Maybe it's the atmosphere, the audience, or the way it was filmed, but there were times where I genuinely enjoyed her performance more than at iHeart. WB, especially, was a highlight. They did a good job re-creating the Vegas show on a smaller setting and she did a good job despite the jet lag. My main criticisms are the same. There are some technical things that needed to be tightened and parts of the Vegas show needed to be updated and re-vamped but she's making good progress and I hope she continues to grow from there.

I caught portions of the festival as well -- it was pretty good overall, but had its highs and lows as others have talked about. On the positive, I'm just happy she did it and she's exposing herself in the public eye more and more.
I am getting a bit concerned about the lack of emphasis on the album. Certainly a few songs in these latest promo spots could have been replaced with a couple of single options from Glory. Honestly makes no sense to me why the ball was dropped on this. Her back catalog is extensive enough that even half or more of the show could have been her big hits/fan favorites with 5-6 Glory songs. At least right now, I'm feeling a bit of disconnect that I was not feeling at the beginning of this album cycle. If this new music is something she is so connected to, then why not show it off and properly promote it?
I just hope they have a plan or something up their sleeve, because the hype for this album (not the Britney 'brand' though) seems gone completely.

Yeah, I'm just really over Vegas and I wish they didn't waste all of this promo doing her Vegas performances. I want to see performances for the songs on Glory and not just the two she added in the Vegas show.

I want to see performances for the songs on Glory and not just the two she added in the Vegas show. I was starting to think this today too. Even for her sake. She has to get bored doing this even though they changed it up earlier this year. I hope they don't expend it anymore.

Wow, wasn't expecting such a lengthy show!
Agree it's fucking stupid weird she's not promoting the album at all - it just enforces the notion that she's past in and is just a greatest hits act.

You can't critique a legend lbr, they have earned the right to do whatever they want. If Britney wants to come up , do a spin and exist stage she has earned that right, if she wants to stay and work for the next 15 years, she has also earned that right. Its her choice and you have to respect it,and show her the respect she has earned. You fade away or take a break or retire from her, but you can't ask that of her ever.

Hmmm...I'm certainly not saying she can't do whatever she wants. I just think it's odd to claim this album means so much to you and have it be touted that way all over the media, and then barely promote it beyond the album release week, when after several years you are finally taking advantage of high-profile promotional opportunities. All I am saying is something isn't making any sense here, and I'd much prefer a more engaged Britney (or at least Team Britney) when it comes to promoting the current era. For me personally, I will still make an effort to see her live once per year as long as she's performing, and will consistently support her efforts as I have since 1998, but I still think it's a reasonable critique.

There's no denying that it's dumb af that she's not using these high profile slots to push her not even month old album...any other artist would/does but this is kinda the core of Britney in 2016, the lack of focused effort shows blatantly. Whether it's not bothering to simply re-record 15 year old vocals or just reusing the same set from Vegas out of sheer convenience...she's just simply comfortable.
All that said, it was refreshing to see a televised version of her show because it's been long overdue and she did look good and energetic. I actually preferred this to iHeartRadio, like someone said, the camera work and intimate layout of the stage.
It's just generally good to see her completely rid of nerves in all her public performances since the (first 2 mins of) BBMA's. There's no more stigma or worry.

I have to agree with other's here she should hire a new choreographer. I think during one of the songs (maybey stronger) she was almost doing "I Wanna Go" tour dance steps. It almost looks like at times she has stage fright. A lot of her steps look like they should be done with a fierce attitude but she does them like an insecure girl at times. It wouldn't matter as much if she wasn't "It's Britney Bitch" Spears. I'll have to go back ad watch some old performances to compare. Iv'e always been a Britney fan but when she lipsyncs I start to pay less attention. Is she really that much worse of a performer than she used to be or have others just stepped their game up and Britney hasn't??
Oh well I'll still support her and watch each performance and hope for the best.

Ahhhh @ that BBC interview, I LOVE listening to her! She sounds so fantastic, and real and honest, and I LOVE IT!
Favorite parts: "Muscly-er", the discussion about chart positions, steam room story, and of course....the accents.
Despite my concerns about more specific Glory promotion, bless you Promo-ney!!!!

What did she say about chart positions? Just that she does pay attention to the numbers and how the albums chart initially.

Are they giving up on this era then? Sorry to sound dramatic, but the window is just about closed for when they can release a second single and hope for any chance of a hit. I know the prospects aren't great, but this will be truly tragic if they're just giving up entirely on this masterpiece.

I actually preferred the Apple Music Festival performance over the iHeart one. The production values seemed higher and the camerawork was amazing. She also seemed super into it, jet lagged or not.

I think that's a bit overdramatic. The iHeart Festival, first of all, was not about promoting Glory. People play the HITS there. Same with this festival. This is not a crowd that is purely there to see just Britney. They want to hear songs they mostly know. This is not for the album. Festivals like this are meant to be about songs that the crowd will know. Plus, there was no way she was going to be able to rehearse an entire new set between the last dates of Vegas and now, especially when they already had to change the Vegas show to this to fit the smaller stage.

I thought the iHeart and Apple festivals were both great. Both had their really great moments. I think Apple, much like with Vegas, my only issue is that half way through you can tell she gets kind of tired... the Crazy/Stronger/Circus/TTWE performances she's usually nowhere near as good as she is during like WB and Womanizer.
Not sure what's going on with the 2nd single... I think radio will still be partially on board b/c she's in iHeart's good graces for doing the festival + CBS's for doing their B96 chicago Jingle Ball. But they really need to announce that shit ASAP..

So evidently, Britney talked about the conservatorship on The Jonathan Ross Show. Basically, she said that her taking charge for Glory was sort of a reaction to the conservatorship. She felt everything in her life was planned. She said that b/c of the conservatorship that everything was brought to her all finished and she didn't really have a say in decisions. With Glory, she insisted to do things her way. It also looked like she wanted to continue talking about it but Jonathan had to quickly change the subject.
Also, she talked about smoking weed and how the last time she did it was when she was 17. Her team had also evidently tried to get every audience member to sign an NDA but the people on Jonathan Ross said that it wasn't realistic. It'll be interesting to see if the interview will be left intact or edited. Also, she performed "Make Me" on the show.

I hope they don't edit out the part where she talks about the c-ship. It's finally nice to have official confirmation that the last albums post Blackout and pre Glory were not what she wanted. She needs to have full creative control always. Her best albums are under her wings.

I loved the AMF concert and I'm loving this era. Great pop album!
To me it makes sense that she's performing her hits and the first and possibly second singles from Glory. It's good promo for the Vegas shows.
