The "Make Me" performance on Jonathan Ross was solid but all of her performances for that song are rather lackluster. The routine just isn't good. She needs a better creative director. Some parts of the routine are downright terrible and no amount of lighting, camera work, or special effects will be able to mask that. Exhibit A:

So for one the interviews she did while in Europe, the interviewer had commented that Britney acted a bit like child constantly looking at her team for approval. Looks like her talking about the c-ship on Jonathan Ross may have had some repercussions. Ugh.

I'm completely over Make Me... and hope no further live performance opportunities will be wasted on it but I must say I loved how bubbly she was on Jonathan's show. It was also funny seeing how embarrassed she was to admit she's farted while performing. :kii:

OMG I forgot about that weed story. So, that clip with her saying "I'm so fucking high right now" on stage was real?!

That's my fav interview with her in years. She totally exuded that smile inducing aura that makes you desperate to be her BFF that she was so full of in the early days. Can only imagine how great it would have been if they had left the c-ship stuff in.

For what it's worth (read: nothing), I've wanted that title changed for weeks. Someone was looking over my shoulder the other day and was like wtf are you reading?!

Anyone find it odd literally every interviewer she's met with this era wants to ask her about the VMA snake performance? I mean it's iconic of course, but its been iconic for the better part of 15 years. Why is every interviewer so fascinated by it right now?

Is "Make Me" doing anything internationally? I thought she would have sang "Do You Wanna Come Over" on Jonathan Ross. The routine is finished and all she does is lipsync to the recording anyways. If "Make Me" is gaining popularity there than I'm wrong and I guess they made the best decision then. I didn't find much difference between this performance and the other 2 times I have seen it. I prefer the version mixed with "Me Myself And I" because it brings some life to the performance. The funny thing is I can't stand MMAI when it comes on the radio.

I can't get over the non-existence of a second single at this point. Will there even be one? It's like RCA had a timeline in mind for Make Me to smash. That didn't happen, but the timeline has not adjusted at all. So Make Me is off the charts, Glory is tumbling and they are twiddling their thumbs until...when exactly? They are so frustrating.

Gold Soundz on Pop Justice says that the second single has been selected by the label and that they are waiting on Team Britney to announce. He also says that it's a song that he feels like everyone likes and discounts "trolling" suggestions like Change Your Mind. #suspence
Edit: He's now hinting that the choice is DYWCO. I can't say I'm surprised. I think it has potential for some viral moments and I personally like it a lot. I think it could end up a huge flop at the same time though. Hard to call this one. My strongest feeling is that I wish it wasn't such a predictable choice and I would have been way more into it as a fourth single.

DYWCO is a definitely polarizing single choice but I think the risk is worth the potential reward (plus I'll be shocked if RCA sees this era through to four singles anyway).

I'm not going to get worked up over it since the second single hasn't officially been announced yet, but DYWCO is not the right choice, imo. Gold Soundz on Pop Justice says that the second single has been selected by the label and that they are waiting on Team Britney to announce. I bolded this b/c, if this is true, then the blame towards RCA for the single delay is misplaced. I'm not a big fan of RCA but they've done a lot for Britney this time and have gotten a lot of undeserved blame that should be directed towards her team. Around $2 million was reportedly spend on the music video (and photoshoot?) alone. That's not even counting the amount of money they spent on other forms of promotion for the album and single. How many artists even get that type of budget nowadays? Then when the single was stalling, thanks to Team Britney doing everything wrong, one of the RCA executives sent a letter to radio vouching for the single, even though some of the stats he had to work with, weren't impressive (ie. the music video views).

I agree, but it's not like RCA hasn't well earned that skepticism. I've watched them botch singles campaigns for my favorite artists time and time again over the years. This is saying nothing of single selection, which has been questionable at best, but purely commenting on the timing, or lack thereof, for releases. After Jive dissolved and Britney signed with them, I knew that it couldn't mean good things for her career. Say what you will about Jive, but she was their priority and there were never these types of issues with them.

I think people place too much blame on the labels and not the artist and management. Britney's team totally botched the video release and left RCA little to work with. RCA promoted the hell out of this song and album yet still couldn't get more than 1 week in the top 10 on the albums chart. She hasn't even promoted the album tracks and is sticking to her Vegas routines. What in the Sam hell??

I agree, this mess is 10000 percent Team Britney. What I don't understand is that this AMAZING promotion is happening now, way after Make Me has been released. Why didn't they combine this promo tour, one of the best from her in a decade, with the second single. I mean, she could have been performing the new single and discussing at all these different stops. Then at the tail end or mid-way through, you drop a dope a** video. I DON'T GET IT.
