Like I said before, I hope one of the first thing she does professionally is to remove/erase Britney Jean from streaming etc. and her history generally. Not only is it a blot on her amazing streak of albums, but it's entirely representative of the conservatorship and the sinister, ghastly, Black Mirror-esque idea that if the artist can't or won't record something, they'll get someone else to and she doesn't even need to be there for it. It's pimping/prostitution of someone's name and likeness, and is as despicable example of a major label release as is exists in the modern age.
I know there's the user that goes around the internet denying any notion that she wasn't 100% involved, and trumpets that one of the worst popstar releases of the last decade (one that the popstar goes long stretches without appearing on) is not only her best record, but one of the best records (and a confessional masterwork), but it's safe to assume that's not entirely in good faith.

Look petty drama is cute and all but can we not use her personal struggles as a springboard to single out people with hot takes they haven’t brought up for, like, years? I mean talk about good faith…

I haven't watched the Netflix doc... I was very interested but the way she and Sam keep throwing shade at the docs turned me off, because yeah, it feels a bit exploitative.

Such a great selection of songs! Personally I would prefer they replace "Outrageous" with "Overprotected" or "Break the Ice" or even "Slumber Party."

So, do they usually not play the actual artist on this show? Can’t believe I turned it on tbh, but it really takes away that this isn’t Britney (bitch).

I'm not too familiar with the show, but I think it depends on the label/artist and whether they can get the rights to sync. I watched Jojo Siwa's performance last week and they used Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande's version of "Rain on Me," but someone else danced to a cover of "Levitating" (originally performed by Dua Lipa).

Outrageous is by far the most strange song choice success wise.
Each of her first 7 albums got 2 songs except for the Britney album. I wanna go probably stands out the most as missing when looking at the hits.

I wanna go probably stands out the most as missing when looking at the hits. They normally have a live band doing covers. I wanna go is my least favorite number one of hers so I’m glad it was skipped.

Yeah Outrageous is an odd choice, especially when they skipped Work Bitch (Work Work), I Wanna Go, even Slumber Party would've worked too.

I’m surprised with the conservatorship exposure and now dancing with the stars that none of her songs are in the top 200 of iTunes.

At the same time, this program attracts less than 5 million viewers for very low rates on the 18/49 years. The songs proposed were only covers of poor quality. I can understand that there is no impact.

There was a bit of impact, "Essential" and "Greatest Hits: MP" returned to the Top 20 Pop Albums and both were inside the Top 100 overall albums at one point after Monday's show.
A bunch of the songs hit the Top Pop Songs 200, but I also think the impact was muted because they were all covers. Plus, Britney's core audience is likely streaming them on Spotify instead of buying them on iTunes too.

Outrageous was the #camp choice and I’m here for it… one of the producers is an ITZ stan and it shows.

I am surprised to see that the Netflix documentary left the TOP 10 of most countries after only 5 days and that of the United States (where it was however 5th for its last day) at the 7th day...

I mean, she was freed like 3 days after the documentary came out, so it wasn't very "juicy" anymore. It was not stupid from Netflix (in a way) to bet on this date in view of the schedule of court hearings and media coverage, but at the same time it served mainly as a context to the general public who were already aware of the main lines through other means...

Jodi still oversees the conservatorship of her person and Jamie was only suspended, he hasn't been removed completely (although it's kind of a given that he will be). From there an interim conservator will have to take his place until the termination filings can be heard in January, I believe. But yeah the Netflix doc really didn't tell us anything the others didn't so even for those just looking for the entertainment value, this one was bound to fizzle out quickly.
