I continue to weep from what could have been when it came to those tracks.  Same. Tropical fun music video for better and epic womanizer/toxic music video for liar.  Agreed on both counts. "Better" should have had what the video for Tinasha's "Superlove" was. |

#Justice4DoYouWannaComeOver I will NEVER forgive RCA for the way they ruined this era. RIGHT?! There were so many single choices this era. "Make Me" is iconic (THOSE CLAPS during the pre-chorus paired with the choreo from the original video will forever be burned into my retinas)  but both that and "Slumber Party" could have come towards the end of the album cycle. |

There was something so euphoric and classic Britney about Better. Not to mention it was an actual BOP and it was on-brand with 2016/2017.

Y'all, please don't make me embarrassed to enter this thread. Better was a dated mess by 2016 and DYWCO was not going to be played outside of gay clubs. Slumber Party would have been her best bet of success with that video as the lead single.  |

I'm not sure where you were in 2016 but that trop house song was basically the biggest thing that year. Better absolutely could've done well in 16.

Which trop house song do you mean out of the 49 that sound like Better? What does that matter? There were numerous trop house songs that sounded just like each other that were all hits. When a certain sound is in, it doesn't mean only *one* of them can be a hit. If that logic is right, why was Worth It still a hit when it sounded exactly like Talk Dirty? There's a million examples. Better could've came out around the time songs like Cold Water were out and it would've done pretty well IMO. Regardless, Britney needs to put something out ASAP. I really wish she'd do a one-off with a DJ or something. |

If there is no max martin for this new album i dont want it!!! Im serious lol. I did like glory but it wasnt innovative like her other albums were before britney jean. glory was like a mix of purpose and gwens truth album.

I played the "Circus" album at the gym today and nearly lost it when the opening lyrics of "My Baby" came on. All I could think about was Donald Trump and nearly dropped my weight from laughing so hard to myself.

Make Me had the right ingredients of amazing classic Britney, but production was shit (some of the most inaudible lyric delivery in her catalog). Throw the Make Me video fiasco into the mix and its potential to hit was low |

Make Me really was not good. I Listened to it once and never again (except the time she performed it on the VMAs). If I can't make out the words of most of a song, I'm normally out.
Its strange bc she was on such a commercial related high with Circus and then the follow up was no good.
I want a banger like Circus! Or a classic (catchy) ballad like Everytime. Or an amazing beautiful midtempo like Sometimes!
I really think her last two efforts just sounded so uninspired and lazy. BUT I have have very high hopes for her next album (based on her balls to wall live vocals that we have gotten a couple times). Give me a studio, dancey version of Something to Talk About!

I'm over sexy Brit. She needs an image & sound overhaul. It's the only thing that'll actually garner her music mass attention. I'm not saying for her to dress like a nun, but keep it grown woman sexy. Throw away the leotards and blonde hair. Give us brunetteny!.

Yeah, picking WB especially is a great idea b/c it's probably one of the best, if not *the* best performance of the night. She just added the BBMA breakdown to Toxic, too.
It's also being billed as the first performance of 2018, so assuming it airs from 12a-12:30a, she got one of the best slots of the night. HUGE exposure.
I wouldn't assume they're doing this for nothing, so I assume she's gearing up for some stuff in 2018.
