Really excited about the memoir and also the promise of a new song, even if it is with will.i.am. But hey, whatever it takes to get new Britney music. She clearly likes working with the guy, and they've had at least one smash hit together. Elton John wasn't high on my list of people I ever hoped she'd work with, but that song turned out good and got her another top 10 radio hit, so... whatever works, lol.

Idk why they couldn't use a recent picture. This one looks cheap and like they just through it together the last minute. Still excited though and hope she doesn't hold back. The "Britney" era seems to be one of her favorites, or at least maybe when she was having the most fun/freedom, so I'm thinking maybe that's why she chose one from that era. Also, the "Woman in Me" quote is from "Not a Girl", which is Britney era too, so maybe it's connected that way. The font though is unforgivable. Oof, that cover is...shockingly awful. I feel like this is likely to be an absolute mess but no doubt the interest will be sky-high and I hope the mass amounts of excerpts that leak (a la SPARE) are enough to get me to read the whole thing (not a la SPARE). . I read that there was a ghostwriter, and she has yet to even read the book. Which the former is not really surprising to me. The amount of celebrities who do not write novels is obviously quite large, and that is just fine - but the latter, not even reading your own memoir, yikes. |

She said herself that she's been working really hard on the book, and there are strong rumors that she'll be narrating the audiobook, so this makes no sense. People seem to be going to concerning lengths to try and paint her in a bad light, and the book is not even out yet. Also, everyone knows there's a ghostwriter. Page Six revealed it's Sam Lansky months ago. |

Y’all know a ghostwriter is basically just an editor with extra steps, right? Not downplaying their work at all; if anything, making sense of Britney’s stream of consciousness is probably a lot to ask of anyone. On the very, very off chance she hasn’t read it, I’m like 99% sure she knows what’s in it and this isn’t some goofy ass fanfic lol
Not even going to pretend to be excited about the new song with will.i.am, but “Work Bitch” remains a queen Myah Marie moment so… idk! 🤷🏼♂️
Edit: lord that book cover. The font is fine and I’m honestly ok with the picture, but the composition is a goddamn mess.

The stream of consciousness of anyone suffering from trauma, psychosis, and most likely PTSD, is hard to navigate. Especially when so _much_ has happened over the years.
As for the pic, I find it slightly odd she’s using such an old photo. I wonder if it has a deeper meaning, maybe that period is when things started to go to shit. I don’t hate the cover, I actually like that it’s so simple, but yeah, the font could be better.

Is the photo not new? It looks like the Britney promo shoot, but her face/hair are different. I think it’s just photoshopped to hell. It's an outtake from her Herb Ritts photoshoot from 2001. He took other photos of her during that time period as well. Glad to see Work Bitch, get to 300 million streams, it's her 7th song to meet that milestone. |

I'm not a fan of her re-visiting the 'Britney Bitch' line again, when she has already mined the phrase effectively with not one but three hits in recent years with Gimme More (2007), Scream & Shout (2012), and Work Bitch (2013). It looks like the phrase is going to live a fourth life with Mind Your Business. But it feels kind of tired. It was a phrase that had shock value to spare from 2007 - 2013 but it's kind of old now.
It does show what a monster song Gimme More was that it's basically being redesigned every couple of years by Will.I.Am to spit out a new hit for her. The song should have gone number one.
She should get a nice chart hit out of this, the Hot 100 is weak enough now, hope she debuts in the top 5.
