I'm pumped to hear their new material, I could really use some more good workout songs! Seriously though, Slipkont is a solid band who doesn't stray too far from their roots. Now if only Disturbed would release some new music...

Now if only Disturbed would release some new music... Disturbed has been on hiatus for 3 years, and an acquaintance of mine who is a huge Disturbed fan insists that the hiatus is either going to be permanent, or David Draiman is gonna have to get the rest of the band to leave so he can replace them all.

I'd forget about this doing anything on Alt. I can't believe that's a legitimate question. It'll smash Active though. Slipknot used to be my favorite band so I'm pretty excited for this.

Ready to be lashed at, but I'm gonna base how popular this new Slipknot release will be on the fact that Stone Sour went to #1 with "Do Me A Favor" on the mainstream active rock charts. That alone, should reveive new interest and fans for Slipknot.

I personally think Slipknot are at their best when they sound nothing like Stone Sour.

Speaking of "Snuff", I'm surprised that it didn't go Top 10 on Alternative. It was at a time when Active songs had no problem reaching Top 10, and "Say You'll Haunt Me" reached #8 despite being a much harder song.

This. "Hesitate" is an absolute masterpiece (although I also really liked "Say You'll Haunt Me"). And "Bother". And "Through Glass". And "Sillyworld". And "Zzyxz Rd".

And "Through Glass". And "Sillyworld". And "Zzyxz Rd". Oh yes "Zzyxx" is one of my favorites. And "Wicked Game". but something about "Bother' just gets me every time. It's the pain in his voice, the emotion and disdain he has towards life that I can relate to too much. Wish I was too dead to care If indeed I cared at all Never had a voice to protest So you fed me shit to digest I wish I had a reason; my flaws are open season For this, I gave up trying One good turn deserves my dyingThat whole verse is too powerful.

I find "Bother" incredibly overrated and quite boring. "Through Glass" is really good. "Zzyxz" and "Sillyworld" are alright, but that's it.

I find "Bother" incredibly overrated and quite boring. "Through Glass" is really good. "Zzyxz" and "Sillyworld" are alright, but that's it. This is my opinion exactly too. I'm not a huge Stone Sour fan overall, but their very heavy songs and ballads are excellent. I actually had on "30-30/150" on my way to work this morning. I forgot how much that song freaking rocked. I could have followed that up with "Hesitate" and it would have been the perfect combination.

I'd forget about this doing anything on Alt. I can't believe that's a legitimate question. It'll smash Active though. Slipknot used to be my favorite band so I'm pretty excited for this. I'd say it has a chance at Top 30, as long as it isn't extremely heavy. "Snuff" nearly went Top 10, not to mention "Psychosocial" and "Dead Memories" almost went Top 20. Heck, "Absolute Zero" went Top 30 in 2012, and that was a pretty heavy song. "Tired" does the least out of all of them. But for me the ballads are what really make Stone Sour. This. "Hesitate" is an absolute masterpiece (although I also really liked "Say You'll Haunt Me"). I'm kind of sad that this didn't do better on Alternative. It was an awesome song. Also, on the topic of Stone Sour, I was surprised "Do Me a Favor" did squat on Alternative. It just sounded like it could've fit in well enough to at least go Top 40.

oops! My bad. You're right. I forget Wkikpedia is so unreliable with these things. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Do_Me_a_Favor_(song) . I think "Do Me A Favor" is a better song, so I took it as a given without trying to recall what I actually saw back then. "Through Glass" is my actua; lStone Sour, favourit .

"Zzyzx Rd" is an amazing song, Stone Sour's best imo though a lot of songs off of Come What(Ever) May are amazing.

It accepted both hard and soft, even if the soft crossed over. It won't chart. What If I Was Nothing could have went Top 40 in any era, it's a ballad. Even a soft one won't do anything. I am a pessimist.

If a much more established band like Linkin Park can barely get Top 20 I don't think a heavy metal band like Slipknot will do much.

Wow, that's more old-school than anything on their last album. I predict top 5 on Active, 1 spin on Alt.
