i found this girl very interesting. she is not the best dancer/performer nor the best singer, but i cannot stop watching her live performances. everything just works!! she is getting more n more confidence, sings live, n obviously have very musical ears and ability. glad to see someone with real talent connecting w GP and finds success. congratz! ps. title and dear future husband are gold!!!!

I still don't like AATB or LAM but her album has a few jams. My favourite song (Mr. Almost) is a bonus track, though. :(

Idk about that singer comment...vocally she really is talented. She more than hung with john on their duet and her harmonies/backgrounds are second to nobody on top 40.

Meghan just isn't really a belter. I wonder if this is true for many artists who start off primarily as songwriters who have to grow into their voices as opposed to singers who learn to songwrite: She's really good at doing what she does, and you never feel like she tries to vocally go into territory she isn't good at. She is much more willing to respect her strengths as a singer and you get the sense that she knows her weaknesses, and thus stays away from trying to be some mini-Xtina. It's a good trait in this singing-contest culture.

Also: My Selfish Heart has the most underrated song on the album. It's really really good. At first I was like "eh whatever", but it's slowly grown into one of my favorites. It's one of her more dynamic offerings, with a great melody, AMAZING shoo-wops at the beginning, and that beat drop during the post-chorus. It's also one of the least novelty songs on the album and it's not one you get tired of as easily.
Get into it if you haven't.

I am fucking dying at "Bang Dem Sticks." Probably my favorite off of the album for strictly comical reasons. The second verse gives me life... Triplet, triplet, all that shit He looking so good when he bang them sticks He can do the paradiddle with a little bit of samba And all the girls scream, "I want your drummer's number"

Meghan's album is pure GOLD. I love it, which doesn't surprise me because her EP was great and I love Meghan's music. Her whole album is really good!
"Walkashame", "Mr. Almost", "My Selfish Heart", and "Like I'm Going To Lose You" are among my favorites.

i think it's interesting that while "no good for you" is the most popular album track after aatb, dfh, lam and title on spotify, it's one of the least selling of her songs (only ones behind it are "what if i" and the prelude). anyways, the duet is still selling consistently. hopefully it'll get single treatment eventually. :)

I love her vocals. She is one of the few pop stars I can watch sing live during a performance and not hold my breath waiting to be embarrassed.

Nearly every song could be a single, but I think My Selfish Heart (on the deluxe... necessary, no question that you need those 4 "extra" songs) is my favorite. It incorporates everything: the doo wop, the harmonies, the rapping, singing.
I played Title the song to death from the EP, and now that its on the CD im playing it every second AGAIN.
Also loving: 3 AM, Walkashame, Bang Dem Sticks (which I think needed a rapper or a guest) Title and DFH.
And my favorite lyrics from Walkashame: He kissed me and called me his bae, asked me stay, how could I turn that away?

That's how I feel about it, too. The first time I heard I was like "sure, it's fine", but it has one of the least novelty factors, and I love the melody as well as how dynamic the song is. It's a nice smooth, chill song.
And those harmonies at the beginning, soooo juicy and good.

Yeah, No Good For You is one of my favorites and I like it more than a good portion of the standard.

Picked this up a few days ago. One of the best new artists, imo. "Title" and "Dear Future Husband" are so addictive, but the whole album is gold.

Disappointed she's not performing tomorrow considering she's a multiple nominee. Wasted opportunity for promo. Hope there will be future opportunities with the 3rd single coming up.
