This is practically the "One More Night" of their new album. The best song out of their promo singles.

Easily my favorite from them in quite some time. Great track.

Way better than "Maps." It's formulaic, but it's the formula I like best for them. Agree that we could be looking at another "One More Night."
I could have done without the background "Ey! Ey!" that's permeated seemingly every urban-tinged song over the last six months, though.

Music video shoot (unless Adam does this for fun):
Pretty obvious this is the second single.

No, I really thought they were gonna go with "It Was Always You".

I like "It Was Always You", but this is the more obvious hit. I love it. Hoping for a "One More Night" type chart run.

Not bad. But I mean come on, we already had a song named "Animals" become a hit this year

Well if they were considering it for a single at some point, why not do it now because it's being used in a tv advertisement now.

It Was Always You and Come Back For You are both miles better than this song. They have a cool retro 80's vibe, whereas this song just sounds like generic pop fodder.

Not bad. But I mean come on, we already had a song named "Animals" become a hit this year But this one has lyrics! This is M5's fourth single from their last two albums with a one word title; in fact, none of their hits of the last three years (from "Moves Like Jagger" on) have had more than three.

Even though I do like this a lot and think it will be huge, the lyrics disturb me a bit. Parts of it could be looked at as a rapist's anthem.

We judge stuff on the "whole". And, if you listen to the lyrics of the whole song, it's pretty clear this has nothing to do with rape. The subject matter is the same as many Maroon 5 songs: "A dysfunctional on-and-off couple that can't stop sleeping with each other even though they hate each other not really tho."

I prefer Maps, but this is gonna be huge. Definitely a good move to use this in a commercial while the previous single is still high on radio.

I prefer it was always you.
In my opinion they are on the same board with The script, they are owning their sound, the problem is that all their songs ended sounding the same

I didn't care for "Maps," but this is quite fantastic. Gives me chills. Not bad. But I mean come on, we already had a song named "Animals" become a hit this year This one is far superior, though.

Music video shoot (unless Adam does this for fun): Pretty obvious this is the second single. I'm shocked. Another video where Adam has his shirt off. Sex sells I guess. Anyway, I'm sure this will sell, sell, sell. "Moves Like Jagger" and The Voice have made Adam a star - not just a lead singer from a band. I guess the other guys in the band (the ones never even in their videos anymore) are okay with the arrangement. They are surely getting paid and nobody would recognize any of them on the street. So they have money and autonomy. Good arrangement. The song - just heard the clip from the TV ad - smart ad just not crazy about what I heard. I thought the first single was better - more my taste.

Which they are. Well, technically...but if you blink you are likely to miss them. And we are talking about almost all of their videos for the past two albums. Adam is the star...Adam is bringing in the cash....Other bands of course focus on the most recognizable member (generally the lead singer) but not to this degree, IMO.

Well, technically...but if you blink you are likely to miss them. And we are talking about almost all of their videos for the past two albums. Adam is the star...Adam is bringing in the cash....Other bands of course focus on the most recognizable member (generally the lead singer) but not to this degree, IMO. Adam has been front and center since She Will Be Loved, which was almost entirely about Adam. The more recent videos have had the other band members actually doing more than just playing their instruments anonymously behind Adam. They've started to have roles. In Misery, the other band members provided the most humorous moments of the entire video. In Maps, they drive the story forward, distracting Adam from his frustrated girlfriend. In Love Somebody, they're all over the place, painted up and everything. Daylight video wasn't about Adam or the band at all... The only difference between older videos and newer videos is that they're more cinematic. Not as many "generic cuts to band playing in the background behind Adam". Now, the other band members are actually woven into the story from the start, which is arguably better. And probably more fun for them.
