FUCK YOU ALL
Royal Blood should be #1. Better than the rest. If Frozen sells more than it...

Sam is going to scan a million copies this year. Probably the only 2014 release that will apart from Taylor

Nice for Kem. He trends upward. Nice!!! People probably didn't realize he had an album out. He's so consistent.

With the busy weeks in September coming, it will fall out of the Top 10.

Yeah that's true. I would imagine as long as it keeps posting 20K weeks, Disney is happy

There's a "Frozen" special coming up on NBC (I believe) next week so that may help it's sales some.

www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6236493/brad-paisley-kem-top-10-debutsBrad Paisley & Kem Set For Top 10 Debuts on Billboard 200By Keith Caulfield | August 29, 2014 6:33 PM EDT Country star Brad Paisley is aiming for his ninth top 10 album. Country star Brad Paisley is set to collect his ninth top 10 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as his new release, Moonshine in the Trunk, is aiming for a high arrival on the chart. Industry sources forecast the new album, which was released on Aug. 25, may sell around 50,000 copies in the week ending Aug. 31. The Billboard 200's new top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, Sept. 3. Perhaps surprisingly, Paisley has yet to earn a No. 1 album, despite his numerous appearances in the top 10. He's even snared four albums that peaked at No. 2 -- including his last two efforts, 2011's This Is Country Music and 2013's Wheelhouse. Paisley's Moonshine in the Trunk will most likely debut at No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart, where it will mark his eighth leader. Back on the Billboard 200, the next No. 1 will likely be Ariana Grande's My Everything, which is set to arrive in the top slot with around 160,000 sold. It will be the pop star's second No. 1 album in less than a year, following her Yours Truly debut. As for other notable debuts on the Billboard 200 next week, look for R&B singer Kem's latest release, Promise to Love, to start in the top 10 with around 45,000 or so. Kem last released a studio album in 2010 with the No. 2-peaking Intimacy: Album III. He followed that up with 2012's holiday effort What Christmas Means (which reached No. 64). On SoundScan's Building chart (below), Grande, Paisley and Kem are Nos. 1-3, respectively. The Building tally is a precursor to the final Billboard 200 ranking -- reflecting the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week as reported by six major merchants. As for the rest of the Building chart's top 10, the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack is No. 4, followed by Sam Smith's In the Lonely Hour at No. 5, Wiz Khalifa's Blacc Hollywood at No. 6 and the Now 51 compilation at No. 7. Coming in at No. 8 is 5 Seconds of Summer's self-titled album, while the new G-Unit EP The Beauty of Independence is No. 9. G-Unit's set may not finish the week inside the Billboard 200's top 10, with a forecasted sales week of around 10,000 to 15,000. Closing out the Building chart's top 10 is Christian singer Steffany Gretzinger with The Undoing, at No. 10. Gretzinger is from the Bethel Music collective of singers and musicians. Bethel Music nabbed its first top 10 album earlier this year, when You Make Me Brave: Live at the Civic debuted and peaked at No. 10. Gretzinger's solo album might sell around 10,000 to 15,000 for the week. NIELSEN SOUNDSCAN BUILDING CHART Rank LW BB 200 Artist Title 1 NEW Ariana Grande My Everything 2 NEW Brad Paisley Moonshine in the Trunk 3 NEW Kem Promise To Love 4 2 Soundtrack Guardians of the Galaxy 5 7 Sam Smith In the Lonely Hour 6 1 Wiz Khalifa Blacc Hollywood 7 4 Various Artists Now 51 8 8 5 Seconds of Summer 5 Seconds of Summer 9 NEW G-Unit The Beauty of Independence 10 NEW Steffany Gretzinger The Undoing The Building Chart reflects the first four days (Monday through Thursday) of SoundScan's tracking week (which ends Sunday) as reported by six major merchants: iTunes, Trans World Entertainment, Best Buy, Starbucks, Target and Anderson Merchandisers. Billboard estimates that they make up about 85% of all U.S. album sales.

Sam Smith still hovering in the top 5 still? impressive. Maybe he can end up getting close to 1M on his debut.

During the Q4 he might very well have some weeks of 50k so it's possible, even likely I'd say. 'I'm Not the Only One' will be a big hit.

I wish Sam all the best, but there's still a long way to go till Platinum. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he pulled Ed Sheeran debut #'s.

I hope Ed Sheeran is able to get both of his albums over 1,000,000 sold by the end of the year.

Ed Sheeran's + is at 863,000. It's selling 2k a week so it'll a year+ for 1 million scanned.
I expect Sam Smith to blow up at Christmas. He'll appeal to those older adults as a good Christmas present.

You know that answer. This happens every week- LOL
Being #1 with 170K can be called "sad" if it means being denied being #1 with 180K ;)

Seeing so many disappointments on that Top 100 list. I'm wondering if the industry needs to rethink pricing. Digital distribution has changed production costs significantly. It seems to me that a goal is to increase volume and getting people back into owning music. Lower prices on new releases (digital after say four or six weeks). Keep physical product the same since it costs more. Just a thought.

^No, you are right.
They do need to lower cd prices. I frequently see albums for $14.99 & $15.99 at Target & Best Buy. Hello...

People really need to take a hard look at the declining record sales and adjust their first week expectations accordingly.

In addition, there is no reason for digitals and physicals to be selling at the same price point. No digital album should be more than $10.
