Despite what HITS reported, So Good debuted at #26 on the Top 200 with 14k SPS; #35 on the Album Sales chart with 5.3k.

She was supposedly working with Dr. Luke on the album; I'm not aware of him having any credits on the final product unless he ghost-produced something, but given his legal situation and soured reputation it wouldn't be a great surprise if that were at least part of the reason why it took so long for an album to finally materialize, if they had to cut any and all songs that he was involved in. I'm pretty sure she also clocked him significantly on Twitter over the Kesha situation, which would spoil any chance of them working together. (And I'm fine with that.) On another note, I'm assuming UMG has taken the lead on this project, and their handling of the rollout and single selection have been questionable. She's got a very solid identity to her sound, but I'm not sure it stands out next to some of her competitors right now. Daya, for instance, is vocally different, but her overall sound is pretty similar. Zara needs to serve vocals and be a bit more adventurous with her producer choice next go around, and she could have a massive breakthrough.

TG4M has been added to TTH playlist on Spotify in the US. Next single?

Need to come back and admit I'm addicted to this album now. It's nothing groundbreaking but pure goodness of pop music. I'll take out "What They Say" and put the rest on repeat all spring.

I know she has probably practiced "So Good" a decent amount for live appearances but it's been dead for a bit now. I wish she switched her performance to another song. Maybe they figured go with a song that may be familiar to the audience??

Maybe they figured go with a song that may be familiar to the audience?? Clean Bandit was listed -- and removed -- at least twice for the Corden episode. The show's official Twitter account and website actually advertised Zara Larsson ft. Clean Bandit about an hour before the taping. They're touring together, and Clean Bandit was obviously nearby. So I can't help but wonder if label politics/strategy got in the way of them performing Symphony. That said, this wouldn't be the first time Zara and her team made a weird choice on a talk show. She performed Lush Life (which had been dead for weeks) on Fallon the night before Ain't My Fault came out. The Fallon booking is actually how people guessed Ain't My Fault was coming out that week, so the whole thing was incredibly baffling.

Yeah, her team/label's strategy with her seems all over the place.
There's so little happening in pop music recently that I've been listening to this album a bunch. It's somewhat grown on me, but I still hate that it's so aggressively generic. She could literally be a vocaloid. It's a shame too, cause the interviews of hers I've watched show she has a cute personality and maybe isn't as bland as her music suggests. But I just find some of the music so disingenuous because she definitely is not the person she's pretending to be in the lyrics of these songs. The number of co-writes on each and every song makes me think her voice is getting drowned out by others' ideas. There needs to be a more cohesive vision of who she is as an artist and what characterization she wants to put forward in her next era.

She should back to studio and release something in September like Rihanna's speed for her first couple albums

Just got back from her live with Clean Bandit and Starley. Zara ROBBED the whole concert. I also quite like Starley, her style is just so cool.
Zara's setlist:
Lush Life What They Say Girls Like This One's for You Don't Let Me Be Yours / Shape of You Make That Money Girl I Would Like Ain't My Fault So Good Never Forget You
And of course she went out again to sing "Symphony" in Clean Bandit's part.

Has anyone seen her live with Clean Bandit yet? I saw her in ATL and it was amazing. I was literally right off of the stage. I keep telling everyone that she looked at me and we made eye contact for a good 3-5 seconds and everyone is acting like that's not a big deal...lol

How was Clean Bandit? I started listening to some of their stuff (other than their singles) and it's actually really good! But I would be lying if I said I wasn't going explicitly for Zara.

They were great. They had two great vocalists (Yasmin Green and Kirsten Joy) and Grace also sang some parts. The setlist is something like this: UK Shanty Stronger Cologne Symphony Extraordinary Heart on Fire A+E Come Over Rockabye Telephone Banking Should've Know Better (new song) Real Love Encore: Tears Rather Be

Clean Bandit was good, but Zara stole the show. I probably would have enjoyed Clean Bandit more if I knew more of their songs. I really enjoyed Starley too. She had really good energy and talked a lot about her struggles in the music industry. It was very inspiring.

The show was honestly so amazing. Zara definitely did steal that show, there was no question about it. After Zara was done, the entire crowd around us changed and I heard one girl say "I was really only here to see Zara so if they wanna get in front of us, that's fine."
Also - does anyone have any of her unreleased stuff from this record? Titles I've seen are Back Forth, Clean, Wanna, Permission, and a few others. I wasn't sure if any had leaked or if it was just live performances?

Ok, since Zara Larsson's Debut, So Good, was such a bop, I am even more excited for her next album, so I thought I'd make a thread as I piece stuff together about when it's coming out and if "Permission" and "Wanna" will be on it. This thread will probably be dead for a few months, but I can't wait to fill it up!!!! :)

For reference, here is "Permission". https%3A//soundcloud.com/frank-lucena/permission-live-at-spotify-after-party-zara-larssonThis is the best quality live performance I could find and overall it's a bop so I'm watching out for this to be confirmed and stuff.

For future reference, the pop forum is for radio singles. This thread is about an album and belongs in artist discussion. ;) Juan Carlos Move please? (I would've reported but I also wanted to address the OP). :) Meanwhile 'So Good' hasn't even been out for two months, and 'Symphony' is due to be the next single from it. I don't think anyone is thinking about Zara's next album yet, not when this one is so new.

Can we also start the thread for her third album too? I'm really excited about that one, after the flop that will be the second.
