It might be a rerelease. The artwork under Republic Playbook shows his self-titled album artwork. I'm still not totally convinced that it's for a new album, especially since the album hasn't been out that long.

We’re told that a blossoming romance between Kendall Jenner and Nick Jonas failed because — perhaps surprisingly — she was more enthusiastic about the relationship than he was.

Sources close to the attractive pair tell Confidenti@l that the gorgeous Jenner — who seems to be on every magazine cover and runway right now, including the much-coveted September Vogue — was excited about dating the musician. But he found her “annoying.”

We’re told the twosome, who reportedly were set up by another couple — her best friend Gigi Hadid and Nick’s brother Joe — went on a few dates, but then he stopped calling. Ouch.

“They hung out in Vegas and then hung out one or two other times,” said our insider. “He thinks she’s hot, but he thought she was a little annoying and just not his type.”

We’re told they last spent time together two weeks ago.

“He didn’t really want anything to do with it, but Kendall was definitely interested in dating him,” added our gossip. “She’s hoping he’ll ask her out again, but he won’t.”

The “Levels” singer has been keen to downplay the romance, telling E! Online Thursday that they’re not dating.

“Kendall is great and, naturally, with her being good friends with Gigi and with Joe and Gigi dating, there are times we’ll be in the same place and we all hang out,” Nick told E! in a careful statement.

Nick Jonas, above at a Hollywood banquet this month, briefly dated Kendall Jenner but hasn’t called her recently, say insiders.

The former Jonas Brothers singer, who ended a two-year relationship with beauty queen Olivia Culpo in June, told the site he’s enjoying the perks of being single.

“I’m trying to take the time to walk out this next phase of my life and be single the right way,” he said. “I (also) like being able to work as hard as I want. I’m incredibly driven, and with all the projects I have going on, they take up a lot of my time. I like to work hard and just be as focused on work as possible.”

As Confidenti@l first reported, Joe and Hadid have been a couple since last September.

Nick Jonas says he’s thrilled and honored to be playing another gay character — and that character, frat boy Boone of Scream Queens, may well be the best of the new season, reports Entertainment Tonight.

“Boone is very intense,” Jonas told ET. “He’s got a lot under the surface that you don’t see at first, and it all unravels as the show goes on.”

One of the things that will emerge in the campy horror comedy created by Ryan Murphy, ET reports, is that Boone has a crush on fraternity brother Chad Radwell, played by Glen Powell. Also revealed will be Jonas’s skin — he has some shirtless scenes in Scream Queens, along with many in his other series, Kingdom, in which he also plays a gay role.

“I’ve been so honored to play some really strong gay characters,” Jonas told ET.

And there are many layers to Boone, he noted. “For Boone, in particular, and this show as a whole, everything is not as it seems,” Jonas said. “So I would say get ready to be surprised by a lot of different things. In his heart of hearts, that may be who he is, but we’ll have to find out as we watch.”

Scream Queens, which focuses on a sorority under siege from a masked killer, premieres tonight at 8 Eastern/Pacific on Fox. Watch the ET segment below.
