Did the Nashville episode with Sara in it appear yet? Hopefully that'll gain some interest in the song.. It airs on October 29th! www.countryweekly.com/news/sara-evans-appear-nashville-and-cma-country-christmasAccording to Sara's Facebook she's on the set for the music video for "Put My Heart Down" she looks BEAUTIFUL. Hopefully between the music video & Nashville appearance the song will get a good start. Shot from the video which she reportedly "just wrapped up": She looks stunning! :o I cannot wait to see the video! ETA: Peter Zavadil directed it. He's directed many of her videos over the years, including the ones for "Born to Fly," "Suds in the Bucket," "A Real Fine Place to Start," "A Little Bit Stronger," and "Slow Me Down."

She looks great (as usual with Sara). Not that I would personally wear 4" heels to lounge on my sofa

This is New & Active again on Billboard tonight with 311k in total audience, but that's only up 70k from last week when this song was also listed in New & Active. PMHD only got 2 more adds on Mediabase today. At this rate, the song will be lucky to even crack the top 60. Unless we see some substantial improvements in the next couple of weeks, I'm thinking that a chart run similar to "Anywhere" will be the best this one can do. 568k in audience on tonight's chart, so she did have a better week this week. Still, she'll need to do more than that to even crack the top 60. A big housecleaning in a week or two could get her on the charts, but she's going to need to pull in a lot more stations to actually do something.

I really enjoy this one. I really enjoy the comparison of putting her heart down like it was a loaded gun. I might like it better than "Slow Me Down", which was really good. Either way, she's two for two with me this era.

Considering Sara Evans has been out five years longer than Little Big Town, it is expected she would play the Opry more than them. However, has she ever said she wanted to become a member?

She loves the Opry and has brought it up a few times. She'll be performing on the 28th there for Breast Cancer when the Opry goes pink! I'm excited :) it would be so cool!!

I agree with you 100% and I can't really pin point where exactly but I remember her talking about it being one of the things on her "bucket list". She posted a webisode a year or so ago of her at the opry and you can tell how thrilled she is to be in that atmosphere. Hope someday soon she will get recognized :)

Put it this way: I can't imagine any self-respecting country act NOT wanting to be a member of the Grand Ole Opry. That's like questioning if someone would want to win an award or something. Anyone would be honored to get such an invite.

Poor Sara. This song went for adds 3 weeks ago and still hasn't charted.
But that doesn't really mean anything when it's put into context. Sure, the song has had a very slow start, but it does have over 600k in audience, which 99% of the time would put it into the top 60 quite easily. But on tonight's chart, the #60 song, Josh Abbott Band's "Hangin' Around", has 821k in audience. I have never seen the #60 song have such a high audience level.
The good news: the house-cleaning has officially begun, and I think Sara will chart rather easily next Monday. At least one top 10 song will go recurrent next week (I'd guess Chase Rice), and within 2 weeks Luke Bryan will be gone as well, and possibly Brantley Gilbert also. Garth will leave next week, Justin Moore's "Home Sweet Home" will leave next week, and both Rascal Flatts and Hunter Hayes are in jeopardy of going recurrent in the next 1-2 weeks. John King will probably go recurrent in the next week or two as well. Then we also have Jana Kramer, Dan + Shay, David Nail, Scotty McCreery, Big & Rich, and Parmalee with really old songs. I think several of these will hang on for a while yet, but one or two will probably give up shortly. Parmalee looks set for a run into the top 10, and I think Big & Rich could maybe get there as well. But I think Scotty will fall short of the top 10 and I'm not sure how much farther David Nail can go.
So, summing up, Sara will almost certainly debut next week. There'll be other songs debuting too--for sure Billy Currington's new one, and maybe the new ones from Justin Moore, Gloriana, and 1 or 2 others, but I'm quite confident that Sara will crack the top 60 at last. How far she goes from there, though, is anybody's guess. I personally don't see this cracking the top 40 (and maybe not even the top 50) but I'll be rooting for it.

I'm hoping to God that the additional exposure the song (and Sara) will get on the show Nashville lights a fuse under radio to pick it up/play it. Plus, aren't they releasing the show's duet version of the song that includes Will Chase?

Duet version from tonight's Nashville appearance is now on iTunes! I like the added exposure it'll give Sara, but I honestly prefer this song as a solo artist version. T his isn't bad by any means (and I'm someone who has actually kept up with Nashville and downloaded some of the songs from it), just not anything I'd want to spend $1.29 on.

I really am rooting for this and hope it can be at least a minor hit although I would Love a Major hit for her. I hope the Nashville episode can maybe spark sells. but sadly I don't think radio will be kind enough to take this to top 40.

Well, I think the answer is no in terms of releasing new music any time soon. I'd be shocked if Sara has already went back into the studio for a new album already.

I'm saying is that RCA and Sara Evans needs no regroup and make 2015 a memorable year for both parties. I believe it was you that reported Evans re-signing with RCA earlier this year. It would be a great way to capitalize on the nearly two decade relationship.

Obviously a new record will be coming down the pipeline; most likely 2015; but I think it's still quite a ways off before we see a lead single. We went over a calendar year between the peak of "Anywhere" and the release of "Slow Me Down".

You never know! RCA told Sara to record a Christmas album (with little to no time for preparation) and it releases next Tuesday! So maybe, going forward, they won't be so lenient with her taking all the time she needs to make an album? I'd never heard of RCA pressuring Sara before to get something released.

I'm sure RCA is not pressuring her to release any new music (Christmas comes at a certain time so there would be some rush there). I think there will once again be some downtime after "Put My Heart Down" exits the chart, unless we see a third "official" single from Slow Me Down, which I doubt.
Since she signed a new contract I'm sure that she will take time in recording a good album. This album era has been all kinds of confusion with the debacle of "Can't Stop Loving You", so it is frustrating having to endure another layoff between albums but I just feel that is the most likely scenario.

She spent a pretty long time on making this album -- her longest recording period for a new record, yet -- so I'd be very surprised if album #8 is coming anytime soon. It's a shame the potential of Slow Me Down has already been squandered, considering what a good and radio-friendly project it was, leaving her now with likely quite a bit of downtime between albums. Ideally, I'd love to see her get back into the studio and crank out a new album asap and release it later next year, but realistically speaking, I'm not expecting her to do that. She doesn't like to rush making new music and she always prioritizes time for family in a way that would likely delay a new album. Her label definitely dropped the ball with this album quick after the title track peaked, which is very unfortunate. I'd really like to see them stick with this though and for it to have a slow climb into at least the Top 40. Things aren't looking so good for PMHD but she has a music video waiting in the wings and she did some promo by being on Nashville, so it'd be a shame if this single couldn't even get out of the 50's.

I missed the Nashville appearance, but Sara looked and sounded incredible on the Grand Ole Opry performance. Having never seen the show though, I must say that I am unimpressed with her duet partner. Like he honestly kinda sucked? Maybe he's better on the show, idk, but he sounded rough here and he had zero stage presence, lol.
