If this can hold up until the AMA's in a week and a half, I can see it actually being a decent hit. It's been stalled for like 3 weeks on iTunes in the 40-55 range... even with the release of the video it seems to be staying there (which I'm guessing is still some help as it probably would've been lower w/o it). So, people are still discovering it somehow and it hasn't necessarily fallen, it just hasn't really been a success and flown to the top. After the performance will be the true test (if it makes it till then and doesn't plummet like Gwen's).

Really enjoying this, I can't get the lalalas out of my head. The video is nice. Hope they come harder with the second single though unless they still have big plans for this song.

Is there a reason this is Top 30 on iTunes right now? Just seems peculiar since during the video drop it didn't even go above 40.

Up to #13 on iTunes!!! Hopefully we get a bit more promo from her and a couple performances on Late Night or morning shows or something to carry out the wave of the song now that it's finally making it's way to the Top 10 on iTunes (and hopefully fully revive radio interest).

I haven't heard this song since it first premired. I just thought it was ok. But after watching her AmA's performance I really like it.
I thought her dancing was a little stiff last night considering she wasn't wearing heels.
However she was still pretty good and looked Amazing!!!!

To be fair though, Fergie's song performed almost the same as Gwen's did on the Radio (it's currently only a few hundred spins ahead of Gwen and behind in audience). In regards to sales, Gwen did peak higher on iTunes and was ahead of Fergie for the first few weeks but then yes Fergie did stabilize higher than Gwen and of course is rising now due to the first live performance of the song (promo that Gwen has yet to receive). Not sure exactly why other than Fergie is younger than Gwen and had hits (with BEP) more recently. However, both songs seemed to be received rather the same...some people loving it, others hating it but the majority people finding the new songs just "ok" and not the comebacks they were hoping for. |
