On first listen, stand outs to me are "Same Kind of Different" and "Send it on Down". I'm hopeful that this project sees some recognition come Grammy time. It only takes one listen to tell that it's a stellar album.

All i can say after the first playthrough. "This may be one of the Greatest albums of all time". I love it so much from start to finish but, that coming from me ain't no suprise. Cause Lee Ann is my all time favorite female singer. I have everything she's put out (Cept that Unreleased CD "Finding My Way Back Home" i want that so damn bad)

This album blew me out of the water. Wow.
The first two songs she released on iTunes, "The Way I'm Livin" and "Don't Listen To The Wind," were good, but weren't my favorites. The rest of the CD is simply amazing. The only song I dislike is, "All His Saints." The rest is just perfect. I can't talk enough about how much I love this album. It's right up there with Miranda and Dierks for the best album in the last year.

This is one of the most anticipated albums of the year by far. It might sound weird but when its comes to artists I buy cd's from I don't like to listen to too much of the album ahead of time before I have the physical copy in my hand. There's always been something about unwrapping the plastic wrap, opening it, and putting the cd in and listening to the entire album for the first time that I always enjoy and savor. I did skip around a bit on the link provided above and have to say that "Send It On Down" is an amazing song. The rest of the album will have to wait till Tuesday, though!

^That doesn't sound weird, I feel the same way.
With the album I have to say it is refreshing and comforting to know that true country music is still being written. Standouts for me are "The Way I'm Livin'", "Don't Listen To The Wind", "Same Kind of Different" and "Sleeping With the Devil". Lee Ann never disappoints.

I also love coming into an album blind. That's why I dislike promotional singles and early streams. I end up hearing the album before I have it in my hand.

Was annoyed to not find this at Target, but I guess having to go to Walmart for it gave me a reason to get the deluxe version. Working my way through it right now, so I'll offer more thoughts later, but man her voice is just so beautiful. It's so nice to have a new album from her. I really hope she doesn't keep us waiting this long ever again, lol.

Going off topic just for a brief moment... I wanted to let you all know that I made it so that anybody who starts a "listening party" thread can now apply the blue listening party label. After you hit "create thread", you should be able to apply a label to the thread. All you have to do is click the drop-down arrow next to the little wheel in the top right, and then choose the label (listening party) you want to add. The nice thing about having that label is that it allows us to fit a longer album title into the thread subject line, and it also allows us to sort those threads nicely. :)

Hope to have it in a week or so. Same here. Went to two different locations and they didn't have it...and I live in Austin, Texas! Grr...I'm sure they'll have it soon enough. If not there's another local place that I know will for sure have it, but I just hate venturing downtown. If anything I may just order as I've done with some other cd's I couldn't find in the stores.

I cannot get over how stunning "Fly" is... what a song!!! The lyrics, production, and vocals are just about as perfect as can be. Country music seriously needs Lee Ann.

This entire album is so damn flawless that I'm having so much trouble picking favorites. The project is just so cohesive. Right now though some of my standouts are Send It on Down, Don't Listen to the Wind, Same Kind of Different, Nightwind, Sleeping with the Devil, and Not Forgotten You. The opening lyrics of "Send It on Down" are just chilling, the melody and hook of "Same Kind of Different" are great, and the instrumental bridge on "Not Forgotten You" is an orgasm of country music sounds that I've missed hearing. Definitely a purchase that was well worth the wait (though I hope LAW never keeps us waiting that long again for a new album!)

I haven't found it in any store yet. I guess I'll have to order it online if I want it (and by the comments here, I should want it).

I am very disappointed that only 3000 people bought this amazing album. A top twenty debut is better than nothing. Mind you, it's not 2000 when I Hope You Dance was out (God, I miss those days). What could be worse is that Lee Ann Womack would NOT chart the week after the CD was released.

My copy finally came today, and I absolutely love it. Such a strong, well-written album. Initially, "Send It On Down" strikes me as the highlight, but there's not a weak link on here. "Not Forgotten You" might make the most sense as a second single, but it would really be more formality than anything else.
I doubt this will sell even 10,000 copies in the long run, but it's such a good record and deserves to be heard.

Initially, "Send It On Down" strikes me as the highlight, but there's not a weak link on here. It's really hard playing favorites with this album, but I think I've come to the same conclusion that "Send It on Down" is the best track on it. The opening lyrics alone are chilling and the vocals on the entire song are just absolute masterclass. I know radio isn't going to bother with anything on the record, but I also hope they release another single or two just for the hell of it, especially if they do music videos.
