Florida Georgia Line- "Dirt"(I thought this would be a party tune lol) Lee Brice- "Hard To Figure Out(The Airport Song)" for some reason i thought this would be a funny song Jason Aldean- "Burnin It Down" i thought this would about him and his buddies getting wasted at a bar or something Tim Mcgraw- "Kids Today" thought he would be complaining how kids are

The Highwayman - If He Came Back Again (thought it would be a gospel song about Jesus)
I do this all the time, but I can't think of any more specific examples right now. On a similar note, I listen to a good deal of bluegrass, and oftentimes I will encounter a song with a really unusual title, and I think "wow, they wrote a song about that, I wonder what it's about", only for it to turn out to be an instrumental. Most recent example is "Elephant in the Corn" from Nickel Creek's last album.

"Water" - Brad Paisley
I originally thought this was going to be another spiritual-type song about like baptisms (i.e. "Muddy Water").

Definitely ''I Drive Your Truck'' by Lee Brice. It's actually a very solid song, IMO.

Heartland- "I Loved Her First" (2006)
I misjudged it back then because I thought it was a song about a guy and his girlfriend who had broken up and she had fell in love with a new guy and that made the guy feel bad and he was sad to she had moved on. So he would tell the guy he loved her first, he held her first and to take care of her but when vocalist said the love of a father runs deep then I realized the song was about a father letting go of his daughter to be with her husband. I felt like such a dummy back then because I didn't listen clearly at first but one night, the song came on and I listened closely and finally heard the name "father" get mentioned in the song and then I realized I was wrong all about this song. It's still one of my favorite Country songs from the 2000s. Glad it made it to #1 in 2006.

Truth be told, I actually thought that "Drunker Than Me" by Trent Tomlinson was going to be a serious type of song about alcohol. I saw the song in the R&R New And Active part of the chart in October of 2005 and it had a high amount of points for only being on less than 20 stations at the time, so I thought it must be touching some listeners.
Of course it turned out to be pretty much the opposite. Still a great song though.

"The Mechanic-" Rascal Flatts
"Something In The Water"- I thought this would be an upbeat, fun ditty about summer. The religious theme hadn't even occured to me, especially because we kinda knew it wasn't a ballad based on the rumors that circulated.

John Anderson - Haunted House
Many country songs use the concepts of ghosts and hauntings to metaphorically describe inescapable memories, etc., and I thought this would be another one. But nope, it's literally about a house haunted by a mischievous ghost!

"Donkey." I thought it would be about Christ's ride into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. Little did I know... ;)

Keith Urban - Cop Car I thought it was going to be about having fun and doing crazy stuff and the line with the title was going to be something like, "And it's all fun and games until we see that cop car." I never thought it would be about falling in love in a cop car.

I could have sworn Miranda Lambert's "Automatic" would have been an up-tempo, gun-related, women's empowerment song, maybe similar to "Gunpowder & Lead." (I thought "automatic" was referring to some sort of rifle or pistol.) Boy was I wrong! Ha, ha.

Joey + Rory - "Rodeo" I thought this was going to be an uptempo like "Cheater, Cheater," because of the connotation I have with the word 'rodeo,' but instead it's a ballad about how the rodeo is almost like an abusive mistress who threatens to take him away from his wife (the narrator). Very deep, interesting song. I could have sworn Miranda Lambert's "Automatic" would have been an up-tempo, gun-related, women's empowerment song, maybe similar to "Gunpowder & Lead." (I thought "automatic" was referring to some sort of rifle or pistol.) Boy was I wrong! Ha, ha. mte. My mind immediately went that route too when I first saw the song title.

"Rain Is a Good Thing" by Luke Bryan. The title sounds to me like a somber or at least serious song about how tragedy or something else going wrong can be beneficial by making you stronger if you pull through it. (Kind of like a certain Kelly Clarkson hit?) Without hearing the rest of the lyrics, it doesn't make me think of how rain grows corn, which makes whiskey, which makes your SO feel frisky.

Kacey Musgraves - Biscuits (I really thought this one was going to be about food, no joke. Especially when it's rumored title was "Buiscuts and Gravy").

Alan Jackson's "Three Minute Positive Not Too Country Up-Tempo Love Song".
I thought this song was going to be: A) Extremely negative B) Rap-leaning, or maybe even heavy metal with an emphasis on screamo C) A slow polka groove D) About heartaches and depressing loneliness E) Anything but three minutes long
Boy was I mislead!
