This was the first single from his third album, "No Jacket Required." It hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1985. I absolutely love this song.

1985 was a great year for music. This was OK about halfway between his best "Against All Odds" and his worst "Dance Into the Light."

My all time favorite Phil Collins song, along with Another Day In Paradise.

This is so soothing and beautiful, it might be my favorite of his songs.

This is okay but not one of his best (such as "In the Air Tonight" or "Take Me Home") but not his worst either (that "honor" goes to "Sussudio"). My favorite downtempo/ballad track from him is "Against All Odds (Take a Look At Me Now)".

Never liked it, especially following the masterpiece "Against All Odds".

26 years ago today, "One More Night" by Phil Collins started a 2-week run at No.1 on the Hot 100 Singles chart. "Night" was the first single from his album "No Jacket Required" and it's one of my favourite Phil Collins records. The third verse after the bridge is rather sorrowful and yet hopeful, "but if you change your mind, you know that I'll be here and maybe we both can learn..." followed by his constant plead in the chorus.
