Love (none)
Like 1. "Long Stretch of Love" 3. "Lie With Me" 4. "Freestyle" 5. "Down South" 6. "One Great Mystery" 7. "Sounded Good at the Time" 9. "Damn You Seventeen" 11. "Just a Girl"
Meh 2. "Bartender" 8. "She Is" 10. "747" *13. "All Nighter" *14. "Fallin' for You"
Dislike *12. "Slow Rollin'"
Hate (none)
This is a decent album, but there isn't one song that I really loved. "Sounded Good at the Time" and "Damn You Seventeen" are probably my favorites, but they're not exactly fantastic tracks. This is a clear step down from Golden. 3.0/5.0
Single Predictions 1. "Bartender" 2. "Freestyle" 3. "She Is" 4. "Sounded Good at the Time" If 5. "Just a Girl"
"Lie With Me" is the only other contender IMO.

I think they keep releasing music too quickly. Their music quality has significantly decreased over the years, IMO

Lady A has never been on of my favorites, but I've definitely enjoyed many of their singles. "Long Stretch Of Love" wasn't very pleasant to my ears (vocals seemed a little shot), "Lie With Me" is really good and sounds like a big hit, "Freestyle" is so middle of the road to me, "One Great Mystery" sounds like the Own The Night era, and nothing else really stands out too much. I do really like the album cover though. My singles prediction: 1. Bartender 2. Freestyle 3. Lie With Me 4. Sounded Good At The Time 5. 747 (if they release a 5th single, doubt it)

747, Damn You Seventeen and Just a Girl all sound like smashes. I really like the album as a whole, minus two songs maybe.

I like the album, but nowhere near as much as Golden. I'm not totally sure if it's the quality of their music, or just my interest in it, that's waning, but the album is just kind of 'there' to me.
Nothing stood out for me like "Better Off Now" did from their last album, but initially I like "Long Stretch Of Love", "Lie With Me", "Bartender" and "Sounded Good At The Time" the most. I'm pretty disappointed that "Freestyle" was chosen as the next single, but I get why. It might fare the best in the current country climate.

"Slow Rollin'" is a cover of the Canadian Dallas Smith hit. While Lady A's version is decent, I prefer Smith's.

Well, consider me disappointed enough to perhaps turn my Lady A fan card in. Lots of smash hit opportunities were passed up from the Golden era and, unfortunately, this may have been one of the worst decisions in recent years. Let me clarify on this matter: Lady Antebellum is still a very talented group that can hold their own in this shaky musical landscape; however, the song selection from this current effort of theirs doesn't correlate with what they're capable of. This isn't to say that every song on 747 is a disaster zone. In fact, it's actually not a bad listen after just one run-through. Sadly, I can tell how little effort was put into this album (label/management's fault, not the trio's imho) and most of the album just felt...rushed. I did find the title track to be a nice offering and maybe the only chance at another huge hit this era that might not be as polarizing to critics like us. 14887fan ;)

It's a really strong song, has booming vocal and chorus, and is upbeat, which is what they're looking for right now. I just can't see Freestyle topping the charts.

Okey-doke, even though I can tell this album was rushed for the most part, it's actually not that bad. The title track is still the most obvious smash hit opportunity they have at this point; I really think it would be at least a top 5 hit on country radio. Yeah, it's not particularly country, but what the heck is country these days? I also enjoy a few others, but not enough to overplay them by Christmas. Song Rankings (excluding singles)1) "747" 2) "Long Stretch of Love" (sue me) 3) "She Is" 4) "Sounded Good at the Time" 5) "Down South" 6) "Slow Rollin'" 7) "Fallin' For You" 8) "Just a Girl" 9) "All Nighter" 10) "Lie With Me" 11) "One Great Mystery" 12) "Damn You Seventeen" I'm already worn out from hearing "Bartender" so many times, which has been take-it-or-leave-it for me from the get-go. Was "Freestyle" really the best they could come up with for single #2? LSOL would've definitely kept their momentum going, even if it didn't top the charts. Since "Freestyle" is happenin' though, I'm thinking a top 15 placement may be generous at this point, but I'd love to be proven wrong.
