6/27/14 in Bethlehem, PA Can't go wrong with a free show by a band who's been one of my favorites for almost a decade now, especially with a backdrop like this: It's an abandoned steel mill, which someone one day decided would look cool as a concert venue backdrop if lights of various colors were shined onto it. And he or she was right. For those who don't know, Carbon Leaf's 10-album catalog includes everything from Celtic-influenced tracks to alternative rock to folk music. They played it all and then some, with spectacular audience interaction from start to finish. As much as I wish these guys were bigger (their only single that can be remotely considered a U.S. hit is "Life Less Ordinary", which was a big Triple A hit and a minor Hot AC hit in 2005), I won't complain too much if it means getting to see them for free.
