Recommend anything you would like me to review (album, single, music video, cover art, etc.), and I'll do it. I'll also obviously pick other releases that I'd like to review, as well. I'll add the reviews that I've acknowledged and are my "to-do"s to this post so everyone/anyone knows whether or not I've seen their requests.
Nico & Vinz, Black Star Elephant Zara Larsson, 1 Tove Lo, Queen of the Clouds Professor Green, Growing Up in Public Colbie Caillat, Gypsy Heart Alex & Sierra, It's About Us Sara Evans, Slow Me Down Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga, Cheek to Cheek Ariana Grande, My Everything Taylor Swift, 1989
Sheppard, "Geronimo" Tom Swoon, Paris, and Simo, "Wait" Gwen Stefani, "Baby Don't Lie"

"Something in the Water"Carrie Underwood Chris DeStefano, Brett James, Carrie UnderwoodB+"Something in the Water" provides something Carrie Underwood hasn't shown so explicitly in her career since her debut, "Jesus, Take the Wheel:" apparent religious connotation. She's had previous singles, such as "See You Again", that were open to interpretation of listeners and consisted of very basic, universal lyrics. 'Water,' however, tells the story of a person finding God through a baptism (hence, "Something in the Water") after having lost him- or herself. The lyrics? Incredibly faithful, and they pack a powerful punch. For me, though? Since I'm not exactly the most religious person, I can't say I feel a whole lot from this song. What I do feel, though, is the power of Underwood's beyond-stellar vocal delivery. There's a difference between singing a song and singing a song (be sure to put some extra emphasis on that " singing," almost as if you're saying " SANGING"), and she undoubtedly does the latter on this track. The vocal delivery on this record, like the lyrics, gradually grow stronger and stronger, ranging from her effortless head voice to her incredible belts that she's become pretty well-known for, amongst many other positive attributes. The finest point in this song, though, is when Underwood and her team decided to interpolate a large choir singing "Amazing Grace" on top of an already-bombastic production during the final chorus of the song, with Underwood joining in for the final few lines of 'Grace' to close it all out. That's where the power comes from -- for me, at least. Lyrics? I still can't get over the cliché rhyming of "'Grace'" and "face."

Hi.
Single: Sheppard - "Geronimo"
Album: Alex & Sierra - It's About Us
Yeah I kinda figured it would get at least a B considering: 1.) You're a Carrie stan 2.) The hype is huge, but it lacks a kind of wow factor.
It's actually written well, and I can see it (and I better see it) on a movie or TV trailer or something.

I feel the opposite, it definitely has that wow factor for me, she never ceases to amaze me with her unbelievable vocals and emotional delivery.

Personally, I would love to see a review of Slow Me Down. Looking forward to reading your reviews! SITW was a good start.

"Let Me Know"Tamar Braxton (feat. Future) idfk who wrote it and apparently Google doesn't eitherAI'll be the first to admit that I'm not exactly an Urban music aficionado (I mean, look at who's in my avatar), but I really don't think it takes a brain surgeon to recognize when a song that's out of your realm of "expertise" is great, and that's what "Let Me Know" is. I'd really like to know who wrote it, and if anyone is able to tell me that, it'd be much appreciated. I've always been one to care about lyrics, but this song made me judge things in a different approach. It's by no means a lyrical masterpiece that you'd find on an Adele album, or for Urban music's sake, even on BEYONCE by comparison (don't kill me, stans), but it's still more than passable in my book. Tamar's quite a ways into her career and she's still a killer vocalist. She found a winning combination of a strong vocal performance and a fantastic rhythm. Oh, and I absolutely love the whistle in the closing "let me know, let me know, cause I love you, let me know" run. But...was Future's inclusion on this track really that necessary? Requested by @drag27.

Didn't forget about this! Have 2 reviews coming up - Tove Lo's album and the Tony Bennett/Lady Gaga album. I just have to type up some additional stuff for them and then they'll get posted. For what it's worth, I just bought the Bennett/Gaga album today after listening to it this past week, so that should be a good enough indication of what direction the review is headed.

This weekend, I'll make it a point to get through most of these. Thought I was going to be able to, but then I opened my school agenda and yeah.
