OK so I finally started listening to this (I still don't have the album :/). The bassline in the verses rules so much. Easily my favorite of the three so far. I am both fascinated and perplexed that we had someone not have heard it yet! Hello! Haven't listened to it yet and don't plan on it lol.

I really hope they do have the video for this ready to go. I do too. It needs a viral video like BS to help push streaming. I think they know that, or I hope they do.

Pre-Release "1989" there was word that Taylor taped 3 music videos already before the album release. One of those three was "Blank Space" so that makes it two more music videos to go that are in queue that are waiting to be release.

This is another Taylor Swift song that surprisingly does not suck.

Well it seems that Taylor liked Louisa Wendorff mash-up of Blank Space and Style, and tweet her support and now Louisa's EP that was released on june reached number one on the heatseekers albums.
One of the things i like most of her is she doesn't mind supporting new artist, and she do that all the time

I'm ready for this to smash. She's the biggest thing in music since Adele released 21 and it's so exciting to see how high she can go. Hope this hits #1.

One of those three was "Blank Space" so that makes it two more music videos to go that are in queue that are waiting to be release. If this is true, then this just proves once again how smart she is. With all these videos ready to go, she can focus on other things (promoting, getting ready for the tour, relaxing) and just release the videos whenever the timing seems right. After those 3 videos, she may very well follow-up with a tour video like she's done for the past 3 albums. But which song would fit the tour video best if there were one?

Good god please no tour video. This era is pop era perfection, the label better not taint it with a tour video. If Katy could produce 5 solid, high budget videos during the TD era, Taylor sure as hell can with all the money the label is raking in.
With how everything was set up (getting the biggest pop producer in Max Martin, all the promo and big budget videos) I think her and the label came prepared to play the game, and want to dominate the pop world for a while, so my expectations are high.

This song is releasing itself lol. With a big marketing push I would think a third #1 is on its way. Hopefully an official announcement in the next week or two. Maybe another couple weeks since BS is still played every few seconds?

I think the "Blank Space is doing really well on radio" explanation is the most logical one. 1989 is barely over two months only and already on the third single. They have no reason to have radio stations drop Blank Space with the announcement of Style.

I love that Taylor's already on the 3rd single for this era. I understand the argument about letting current singles live out their chart life, but honestly, as big as Taylor is right now, there's no reason she can't have multiple mega-smashes on radio at the same time. We've seen it happen before with several other artists (Katy Perry during the Teenage Dream era, Rihanna, Mariah, etc) when they were at their peak. I know that Taylor (nor anyone else) is not on the level of the Beatles, but they had the top 5 singles in the country in a single week! That just goes to show that if you're the most popular thing around you can defy expectations of a normal chart performance. I can't wait for this song to smash to be honest. It's so slick, catchy and different for Taylor (like everything on 1989). Bring on a killer video and performance and this one is all set for the top.

I don't think BS would completely have to die out but right now it doesn't even look like it has firmly peaked. BS started taking off when SIO was still big so that's not a concern, but I think if they're wanting to max out each singles potential BS should at least be gradually falling before Style is released.

If this officially becomes the 3rd single this month for Taylor,This would be the fastest Taylor has got to a 3rd pop single. "22" from "Red" was a spring single before "Everything Has Changed" was released in the summer back in 2012. Going even more back, "The Story Of Us" came out around April/May 2011 for "Speak Now". I say let it happen, Let Taylor have 3 songs in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. "Shake It Off","Blank Space" and this would be awesome.
