Good picks zebra71 and btw welcome to Pulse! :) Pre-2010 has always been my favorite era of Blake. His lowest peaking song, "When Somebody Knows You That Well", is another that should have the very least went top 10. More examples: Dierks Bentley- Draw Me A Map Sunny Sweeney- From A Table Away Eric Church- Sinners Like Me Keith Urban- Raining On Sunday Alan Jackson- Midnight In Montgomery

Tears Of The Lonely peaked at #3 for Mickey Gilley in 1982. It should have gone all the way so he could have had seven consecutive #1 hits (followed by four more). After all, he gave us memorable songs during this time like True Love Ways and Stand By Me.

The one that I'll always be completely shocked about is "Stay" by Sugarland. Damn "Our Song" spent 6 weeks at #1 and blocked one of the greatest songs ever written from getting to the top spot.

Rose Colored Glasses by John Conlee from 1978 (#5) still sounds like it should have gone all the way to the top. His next single did so, Lady Lay Down from 1979.

Her vocal masterpiece occurred in 1992 with Maybe It Was Memphis (#3 in 1992). Pam Tillis should have had a #1 there.

Hard to believe that Delta Dawn by Tanya Tucker stopped at #6 in 1972.

If You're Thinking You Want A Stranger There's One Coming Home by George Strait sounds like a #1, but peaked at #3 in 1982. Furthermore, if you have the Strait Out Of The Box, it says it reached #1 in Cashbox. I wonder why MCA did not include it on the 50 Number Ones CD.
