Heathens gets a 7th week! (even though I would've preferred ihu,ilu at #1 this week) In The Name Of Love in the top 5! My Way debuts in the top 10! Cancer gets a good debut too! STYB and Say It also debut! R.I.P. YDOM, For Free, ITAPII, Ride :( I'm glad that Faded went back up, though! Quick question... Have you heard Alan Walker's other song "Sing Me To Sleep"? If so, do you think it could make your chart in the future?

Wow, Heathens is slaying! I do hope gnash, Chainsmokers and possibly Hailee get a chance at #1 too though! Excellent chart!

Intro: Hello and welcome back to the Top 44. As you can tell, it's been quite another interesting week- well maybe not so interesting as "Heathens" now scores its 9th week at #1, making it the 4th longest summit leader in chart history. While Heathens makes history, the battle to dethrone the beast nearly stalls once more as "ihu, ilu" rebounds five points and goes up 3-2. Down a spot is "Let Me Love You," as its surge stalls and it costs the song two points. Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha continue to push its way up as it gains four points and goes up 5-4, sending "Closer" down 4-5 in the process. "Starving" stays put at #6 while "My Way" and "Cold Water" drop two spots to #9 and #10. Making the headlines this week is The Weeknd as he soars 24-7 with "Starboy," featuring Daft Punk. Also, for King and Country's "Priceless" soars 10-8 and ties "Something in the Water" for the chart's highest charting Christian song. Debuting just under the Top 10 is The Chainsmokers' latest song "All We Know," featuring Phoebe Ryan at #12. Intro: Hello and welcome back. At last, the chart has a new leader, as gnash's "I hate u, I love u," featuring Olivia O'Brien, nabs the 45th #1. Before scoring the summit, "ihu, ilu" spent 6 weeks at #2, a record time at the runner up spot before (finally) scoring the summit. "Heathens" falls to #2, but is still within reach to possibly score a 10th week and make history. Don't get too excited though... Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha go up a spot to #3 with "In the Name of Love," sending "LMLY" down a spot to #4. "Starboy" reaches the Top 5 after bolting 24-7 last week, spoiling Hailee Steinfeld and Grey's chances of reaching the Top 5 for another week with "Starving," featuring Zedd, which spends a 3rd week at #6. "Closer" falls 5-7 and for King and Country's "Priceless" falls 8-9, but makes history as it becomes the first Christian song in the history of the chart to spend 3 weeks in the Top 10. Carrie Underwood spent 2 weeks in that region with "Something in the Water" a few years ago, peaking at #8. Bruno Mars returns to the Top 10 with a blast as "24K Magic" poofs into the #8 slot (no pun intended) and Alessia Cara sends her third straight song into the Top 10 as her motivational single "Scars to Your Beautiful" soars to #10. Just below the Top 10, John Legend's "Love Me Now" blasts into #12 and Brad Paisley debuts at #15 with "Today," making history as the highest debuting country song ever in the history of this chart. The last time three songs debuted in the Top 15 was last September, when 3 songs debuted in the Top 15 and even the Top 10. Intro: Hello and welcome back to the chart. We begin with gnash's "I hate u, I love u," featuring Olivia O'Brien, as it spends a second week at #1 after six weeks at #2 beforehand. It gains 2 points, not enough to extend its lead though. Up 3-2 is Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha's "In the Name of Love," which gains 4 points despite lacking a strong mainstream factor, enough to send it up and bring "Heathens" down to #3, down 4 points. Meanwhile, The Weeknd's "Starboy," featuring Daft Punk, goes up to #4, up 6 points. With the rise of Martin and The Weeknd, it brings DJ Snake's "Let Me Love You," featuring Justin Bieber, down a spot and 6 points. It also keeps Hailee Steinfeld and Grey's "Starving," featuring Zedd, stuck at #6 for a third straight week as it drops 3 points. For a second straight week, a song deubts in the Top 10 as Maroon 5 scores a #7 debut with "Don't Wanna Know," featuring Kendrick Lamar. Last week's debut, Bruno Mars' "24K Magic," falls a spot to #9 and Alessia Cara stays put at #10 with "Scars to Your Beautiful." To close out the Top 10, I've got good news for all you One Republic fans: "Kids" vaulted into the Top 10. That's right, thanks to a huge boost in all three factors (personal preference, mainstream, and offline), they soar 24-8. Some of you guys wanted it to happen... Love the OneRepublic debut! Hope to see "Kids" [continue] to keep climbing! ...and there you go. :) Surprisingly, the #24 spot has happened to be a very popular spot for songs to score a huge boost the next week. Here's a rundown of songs that have benefited from being in #24 this year: - All My Friends (went up 24-20 b/t 04-06 and 04-13) - One Dance (bolted 24-8 in its second week b/t 04-20 and 04-27) - Messin' Around (went up 24-20 b/t 05-25 and 06-01) - Sit Still, Look Pretty (went up 24-16 b/t 06-08 and 06-15) - Treat You Better (went up 24-10 b/t 06-29 and 07-06) - Greenlight (went up 24-17 b/t 09-21 and 09-28) - Starboy (went up 24-7 b/t 09-28 and 10-05) This is the third time in the last 4 weeks a song from #24 took a big leap the following week. Who will be the next to benefit? Intro: Hello and welcome back. For a third week, gnash's "Ihu, Ilu," featuring Olivia O'Brien, reigns at #1. Despite staying put points wise, they still boast a fair lead as Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha's "In the Name of Love" stays at #2 and gains only 2 points. I don't see any significant momentum shifts in the Top 2, so expect gnash to most likely spend another week on top. The Weeknd comfortably soars past Twenty-One Pilots as "Starboy," featuring Daft Punk, goes up 4-3 and "Heathens" falls 3-4. "Heathens" spends a 19th week in the Top 5, the fourth longest time spent in the Top 5 ("#thatPOWER" spent 20 weeks and both "Uptown Funk!" and "Where Are U Now" spent 21 weeks). And to close out the top 5, thanks to three critical points gained and DJ Snake's "Let Me Love You," featuring Justin Bieber dropping 5-7, Hailee Steinfeld finally breaks the Top 5 as "Starving," including Grey and featuring Zedd, rises 6-5. Not much changes in the Top Maroon 5 benefits from a strong second week on the chart and goes up to #6 with "Don't Wanna Know," featuring Kendrick Lamar, One Republic's "Kids" stays at #8, Alessia Cara rises up a spot to #9, and Bruno Mars falls a spot to #10. Meanwhile, Ariana Grande soars up 20-11 with "Side to Side," featuring Nicki Minaj, RedOne benefits from another popularity boost and goes up to #12, Pitbull's "Greenlight" soars 23-13, and the #24 spot works its magic again as Keith Urban goes up 24-16 with "Blue Ain't Your Color." Intro: Hello and welcome back. Even with 6 weeks in the runner up slot and 7 in the Top 3, gnash continues to dominate as "i hate u, i love u," featuring Olivia O'Brien loses no momentum and scores its 4th week at #1. I don't see an immediate race for the summit just yet, but it could be coming soon as The Weeknd's "Starboy" rises 3-2 and sends Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha's "In the Name of Love" down 2-3. And then, closing out the Top 5, Hailee Steinfeld, Grey, and Zedd's "Starving" score just enough to fend off Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar's "Don't Wanna Know," as they both go up to #4 and #5 respectively. Again, gnash and Olivia both currently stand in a strong position, but the list of new contenders are finally starting to show. After 19 weeks in the Top 5 (the 4th longest in chart history), 21P's "Heathens" finally falls 4-6 and its burn factor also finally begins to kick into full swing, but they should easily reach 9x Platinum, which will put them as the only act in the chart's history to have three songs score at least 900 points. No, I'm not a diehard fan of the Pilots, but they really have had an excellent run this year. Ariana Grande dives into another quest to score yet another Top 3 hit as "Side to Side," featuring Nicki Minaj, vaults to #7 and Alessia Cara moves up another notch to #8 with "Scars to Your Beautiful." Falling to #9 a few weeks after its big leap is One Republic with "Kids" and at #10 is Bruno's "24K Magic." As many of you know, the Chicago Cubs just won the World Series for the first time in 108 years. I'm happy for them and they deserve it. In honor of their big win, the chart is decked in the shades of their team colors. Intro: Hello and welcome back to the Top 44. In a span of 22 weeks, only four songs saw the summit, and should our current summit leader rack another week on top, it will be the first time in chart history that three out of four straight summit leaders spent at least 6 weeks on top. It might not happen though as “I hate u, I love u” loses 3 points. However, it does make history in a different way as it becomes the first song ever to spend at least 5 weeks at #1 and #2. Below the summit, a serious race begins to develop for at least one of the future summit leaders. Leading the way is Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha’s “In the Name of Love” as it bolts 5 points, closing the gap to 5 points. Making things even better for them, it gives them the best shot as The Weeknd’s “Starboy” loses 4 points and drops to #3. While “Love” has a chance to dethrone the leader next week, the race for another future #1 begins to take shape as four songs begin to make significant gains. Going up a spot to #4 and five points (and up one spot for a third straight week) is Maroon 5’s “Don’t Wanna Know,” and although it falls a spot, Hailee Steinfeld and Grey’s “Starving” gains 4 points. Up a spot to #6 and #7 respectively is Ariana Grande’s “Side to Side” and Alessia Cara’s “Scars to Your Beautiful.” Lastly, even though it isn’t a contender right now, Pitbull has a big week as “Greenlight” bolts 13-9. Down 6-8 are the Pilots with “Heathens,” and staying put at #10 is Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic.” Tags:trustypepper Mr. Thonk Eyes Ed The Pacifist! @markg94 H. maine ♛ The Manticore ☯ surfy Unhinged Clauss DJDaveMick69 Clauss nick64 .indulgecountry Mikel Echarri yuh yuh MTSChart21 trebor Leaf born Juan Carlos ry4n CandleLit @mirza Leo ✔ Daryl the Beryl

Intro: Hello and welcome back. Sorry I'm late, it's near the end of the semester and I've had other priorities. gnash finally falls off the summit and, just like many of you were hoping for, Martin Garrix scores his first #1 here, Bebe Rexha her second, and the 46th leader as "In the Name of Love" goes up 2-1. As "ihu, ilu" fall 1-2, Maroon 5 and Kendrick are on the move as they go up 4-3, the 4th straight week they go up a spot. I can't recall off the top of my head a song that went up a spot each week after debuting for 4 weeks but I think this is a first. Returning to its #4 peak is "Starving" by Hailee, Grey, and Zedd. It also gains, making it a potential contender if its momentum will keep up. It looks like The Weeknd will come up short of its quest for its 5th leader as "Starboy" falls 3-5. Up 7-6 is Alessia Cara with "Scars to Your Beautiful" as it sends Ariana and Nicki down to #7 with "Side to Side." Closing out the Top 10 is former 9 week leader "Heathens," down 8-10. Taking its place at #8 is 24K Magic, as it finally finds a boost and goes up 2 spots. And for our country fans here, there is a country song in the Top 10 for the first time in almost 18 months as "Blue Ain't Your Color" by Keith Urban soars 11-9. This becomes the 9th country song to score a Top 10 and it is Keith Urban's first. He previously made a good run to the Top 10 earlier this year, but fell short as "Wasted Time" peaked at #14. I am planning to host the Fall Tournament and host the 2016 Hot 100 tournament (since I can put less than an hour into one or the other a day), but due to finals mid December, I will hold off on my own YE chart until December 16 or 17. Enjoy the chart. Intro: Hello and welcome back to the chart. For a second week, Martin Garrix and Bebe Rexha are on top. However, even with a 2 point gain, they do not boast a big lead on top. For a sixth straight week, Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar move up a spot on the chart, this time to #2. With a 4 point gain, they also cut the deficit to 6 points. If the one spot trend continues, I think we know what might happen next week… will they score the 47th #1? As they climb to #2, they send gnash’s “I hate u, I love u” down a spot to #3. Still, it becomes their 14th straight week in the Top 3 and their 15th in the Top 5. Staying put at #4 is “Starving” and Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj close out the upper half as they rise 7-5 with “Side to Side.”
Staying put at #6 is Alessia Cara’s “Scars to Your Beautiful,” down 5-7 is The Weeknd’s “Starboy,” and down 8-9 is Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic.” Keith Urban continues his climb up the chart as “Blue Ain’t Your Color” rises 9-8 and Shawn Mendes scores his fourth Top 10 as “Mercy” rises 12-10 and, thanks to its momentum, looks poised to make a run for the Top 5 in the near future and maybe squeak into the YE Chart.
Just a reminder that next week, the Fall Tournament will begin. The week after that, I will host and begin the 2016 Hot 100 Tournament and then come December 16, the YE Chart will begin. Afterwards, I may not be here for 2017. This isn’t solely because of what happened last April, but because of where I am in my life right now. I’m nearing the end of my college career, I’m close to graduating with a bachelor's degree, and then after that, I’m entering the job market. Coming here just to post my chart and a tournament after the summer ended has relieved a lot of unwanted stress I would’ve had if I continued to be a full time member and, well you know, commit so called ‘blunders’ along with my regular posting. I don’t want that and I’ve learned my lessons and from my mistakes. I’m not leaning towards a certain decision point yet, but I have been thinking on and off over the past few months about whether to continue here or not and no matter what happens, I am glad I was able to be a part of something most of us are here to do: share our musical interests with each other. I’ll keep you updated and as always, thanks for following my chart.
