YOUR TOP 15: Taylor Swift continues to be a retail monolith in her second week at #1; assuming a 75% or so decline, Tay Tay will descend from the stratospheric to the merely gigantic. Meanwhile, a number of last night’s CMA winners and performers scoot their boots into the Top 15. Here’s how it looks headed into the weekend. 1. Taylor Swift (Big Machine) 385-410k 2. Now 52 (NOW) 65-70k 3. Jason Aldean (Broken Bow) 30-35k 4. Calvin Harris (Columbia) 30-35k 5. Barbra Streisand (Columbia) 30-35k 6. Sam Hunt (MCA Nashville) 27-30k 7. Florida Georgia Line (Republic Nashville) 27-30k 8. Sam Smith (Capitol) 24-27k 9. Bette Midler (Atlantic) 21-24k 10. Blake Shelton (Warner Bros. Nashville) 21-24k 11. Miranda Lambert (RCA Nashville) 19-22k 12. Neil Diamond (Capitol) 19-22k 13. Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga (Columbia/Interscope) 19-22k 14. Slipknot (Roadrunner) 18-21k 15. Brantley Gilbert (Valory) 18-21k In other news, the Democratic Party had a fairly underwhelming week at retail, but is very excited about its 2016 release. (11/6p)

Wouldn't it be more than all but the Coldplay debut? I thought Eric Church is #3 with 288K?

That's a good number for Calvin. How much did Guetta's Nothing But The Beat open with?

I just remember 18 Months staying on chart for quite a while which led me to think that this would open with 50-60k.. But it's facing a challenge in the UK too where X (Ed Sheeran) is going to be #1 over it.

18 CALVIN HARRIS COLUMBIA 17,530 --
I'd say he is doing pretty well - he's doubling his opening for 18 months

Btw, that's about 75% drop for Taylor, that's ok-ish.

A lesser drop would have been fun too. Having an album out there to challenge Frozen for album of the year would have been fun.

That bob Dylan box set retails for $70, so moving 6-8k is pretty significant

Bette Midler is supposedly doing the Cher/Madonna thing with her upcoming tour, ticket/album combo.

Pretty amazing that Taylor's second week will beat everyone but Coldplay's first week. She may catch Frozen too, depending on where her sakes stabilize at.

Frozen looks to be unbeatable: Week 43: 01 - 3,191,000 - FROZEN - Soundtrack Taylor's 1.287 million counts for Week 44. She has 8 weeks. Frozen will have increases.

Yeah I expect Frozen to have a few good weeks coming up so I doubt Taylor will catch it. However, I do think she will come closer than I ever expected lol.

Slow week though. Potentially no debuts in the top 5.

Industry sources suggest the album could sell more than 350,000 copies in the week ending Nov. 9. The Big Machine Records release blasted in at No. 1, selling 1.287 million copies in the week ending Nov. 2, according to Nielsen SoundScan. If 1989 sells more than 350,000 copies in its second frame, it will mark the third-biggest week of the year (behind 1989's debut, and Coldplay's arrival with Ghost Stories: 383,000). Swift's last album, Red, debuted with 1.208 million and held at No. 1 for a second week with 344,000. The new Billboard 200's top 10 will be revealed on Wednesday, Nov. 12. No other album will likely threaten 1989's second week at No. 1. The biggest debut of the week will likely be Calvin Harris' new album Motion, which might sell 35,000 copies.

At 350K and an average decline, you can lock in week 3 as well.

Her biggest competition next week is the Foo Fighters. Doubt they do over 200 Pink Floyd is releasing their first album in 20 years next week too and there's been a strong campaign behind it so won't be surprised if they challenge for the #1.

A. Taylor's 2nd week will likely be bigger than any other opening week in 2014. B. Lol at Taylor continuing to defy expectations/absolutely dominate as we see CMA boosts. A bit ironic.
When how many weeks does 1989 get in the 2014 Billboard year? Frozen is completely solid at #1 there but could Taylor challenge Beyonce & Eminem?

So Azealia Banks just dropped her album and it's currently at #4 on iTunes. She's not going to move huge numbers, but I could see her moving several thousand units through the weekend
