Highways also represents the band's first No. 1 on Vinyl Albums and its best vinyl sales week (12,000). The cover art is a fictionalized cityscape incorporating landmarks from each city that inspired the album. The vinyl edition features nine unique gatefold sleeves, each depicting a different city, linked by a ninth centerpiece with an infinity sign (a.k.a. a number 8). Only fans that purchased the first pressing of the album directly through the band's online store were able to choose a specific cover.

Garth Brooks was initially 118,370 copies sold (on the "leaked" soundscan top 200 chart), but now it's 130k sold. Anyone know why?

I also notice some inconsistencies like Sam Hunt's "Montevallo" was #23 on the "leaked" chart but #22 on the official chart. Also, "Now 52" was #8 on the "leaked" chart but #7 on the official chart.

Something very strange happened this week. The "leaked" chart from last Wednesday does not match the official final positions.

I got the lower number yesterday at Roughstock.com. I just opened my mid-week update and they said Garth Brooks sold 130,000. I do not know why there is a discrepancy of 11,000 copies sold.

SoundScan sent out the initial chart.

A label thought there was an error with the sales so asked SoundScan to re-run the chart.

The Billboard 200 article was delayed 3+ hours.

Taylor Swift went from 306k to 312k.

This has happened before.

With all the Christmas titles on the chart, I'm sure SoundScan re-ran it a few times.

Or a retailer was late in reporting? Software problems?

Or SoundScan was waiting for GhostTunes?? Who did not report to SoundScan...

— Whitney Houston, Live: Her Greatest Performances - No. 19 — Whitney Houston's first live album debuts at No. 19 on the Billboard 200, giving the singer her 12th top 40 entry.

The new Live: Her Greatest Performances sold 22,000 copies in the week ending Nov. 16, according to Nielsen SoundScan and bows at No. 1 on R&B Albums and No. 2 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums (her 12th top 10 on the latter).

The 16 performances on the set span from 1983 to 2009 and are culled mostly from TV specials and awards shows. The album's most recent cut is "I Didn't Know My Own Strength," lifted from Houston's Sept. 15, 2009, appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. (Houston died less than three years later, on Feb. 11, 2012.) The album's earliest track is from her national network TV debut on The Merv Griffin Show in 1983, when a then-19-year-old Houston performed "Home" from The Wiz.

Houston last charted with a new album in 2012, when I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston debuted and peaked at No. 14.

— The New Basement Tapes, Lost on the River - No. 23 — The all-star group's album (17,000 sold) consists of recently discovered lyrics written by Bob Dylan in the late 1960s. The act features Elvis Costello and Mumford & Sons' Marcus Mumford, among others.

— Queen, Forever - No. 38 – The new compilation -- which features a lost duet with Michael Jackson -- is the band's highest-charting album (and first top 40 set) since 1992's Classic Queen peaked at No. 4. Forever debuts with 10,000 sold.

— Florida Georgia Line, Here's to the Good Times - No. 76 — The album has yet to fall out of the top 100 since it debuted almost two years ago. And, with 2.1 million sold, it's the eighth-biggest-selling country album by a duo in the SoundScan era (1991-present).

—Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Christmas Attic - No. 116 — The act has sold a mighty 9.5 million albums -- nearly all from its holiday fare, like The Christmas Attic (1.9 million) and Christmas Eve & Other Stories (3.4 million). They are the Nos. 20 and 9 best-selling Christmas album of the SoundScan era (1991-present).

— The Weeknd, Trilogy - No. 140 — Promotion in the iTunes Store, along with the Weeknd's featured turn on Ariana Grande's new hit "Love Me Harder," helps lift Trilogy by 118 percent. It makes its first appearance since the chart dated Oct. 12, 2013.

— Taylor Swift, Fearless - No. 180 — Swift's four earlier studio albums — including Fearless — were sale-priced and promoted at multiple retailers in the week ending Nov. 16; they collectively rise by 42 percent in sales.

— Andre Rieu and His Johann Strauss Orchestra, Love in Venice - No. 199 — The violinist and conductor charts his third album on the Billboard 200, and his 20th top 10 on the Traditional Classical Albums chart. This new album is Rieu's first to feature his own compositions.
