Chances for Truth Hurts in the top 100? I will be so mad if Break Your Heart ends at #101.

I feel bad for songs like truth hurts ^ that don’t have enough chart time during the decade to get an accurate placement on the decade end :(

Talk will have to reeneter the top 10 to make it, which I don't think it will.

I don’t think it matters, technically anyway. “Smooth” got caught between two decades and was ranked #43 and #33 on the ‘90’s & ‘00’s Decade-End charts respectively, yet it’s ranked #2 on the all-time charts.

I thought it would at least be in the bubbling under and I also didn’t think it was less successful than Thunder... just curious

Smooth does not actually make the top 100 for the 1990s if you use the all-time formula, but they named it #1 on the SiriusXM 90s top 500 lol

Now, do we have any idea who the Streaming Songs AOTD - Top Ten will be? How is BB going to measure that anyway? A combo. of Spotify/AM/YouTube/Amazon/Pandora points etc. or weeks at number one/in the top ten on Spotify etc.

But Billboard does their decade-end list and all-time lists based off of inverse points so we kinda have to roll on what they do, even if it isn't accurate that much. I have Believer just in the top 100 under my real points system (#98).

It can't be real points, since it only ended up at #19 for 1999 on year-end.

I still don’t know how Janet Jackson ranked 2nd and B2M ranked 3rd when B2M had more number ones and 30+ more weeks at number one. If BB had done an 80’s decade end chart, I can’t imagine how that would’ve been calculated.

^The original 1990s decade-end charts have been disavowed by Billboard. You won't find a trace of them anywhere in their website.

I bet you can still find them though on music forums and such, assuming you look hard enough. If they provided an explanation as to how the chart was calculated, someone might have copied-pasted it as well.

I have it if yall want it
Billboard doesnt give much love to their decade end lists anyway. I don't have a subscription to Billboard so maybe I'm wrong but I can't find the 00s decade list on their site

Even before they locked their charts, I couldn't find the list on the site.

^At least the Hot 100 decade-end was disavowed for sure. They did a top 20 (?) chart for each decade using the current methodology earlier in the decade and there was quite a difference.

How can we have gone through 5 days without an update to the all-time list!?!
Here we go! If Billboard did an all-time Top 10,000 songs list up to and including the September 28, 2019 chart, here's where songs from this week's Hot 100 would place: (And, yes, I agree with Tanooki that Old Town Road is as of this week in the all-time top 50)

I think Truth Hurts doesn’t really have a chance, it’s too late for it. Senorita won’t make it either, unless if it returns to #1 Talk is like a mile away, so most likely no for it. Also, if you want to, You Can join our Discord Server for the billboard charts. I, and others talk there and were trying to grow it for more music reviewers to join! DM Logan_ (#1224) on Discord for the link cause I can’t post it here.

So perfect had a 57 week run right. On it’s 49th week it was number 18. Sunflower is #13 on it’s 49th week..so hypothetically.. If sunflower extends its run to 58 weeks (the last week of tracking for the 2010’s decade end list) will it be enough to get it to the top 10.

By hanging around the top 10 for yet another week, Old Town Road moves from #47 to #43 on the all-time list, nestled gently between Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On above, and Bee Gees' Night Fever right below. It's certain to make the all-time top 40 next week.
tanooki will almost certainly have more details before I do.

There are 9 weeks left, so 81k points total at max. Yet Sunflower is about 90K points away from RITD. Thus, no.
