A bit on the late side, but here's where songs on the September 9, 2019 Hot 100 would be if Billboard did a top all-time 10,000 songs list:

Strong feeling sunflower will chart for more than 52 weeks. I agree with you that the Posty album bomb and the track's lingering strength is likely to keep it charting higher than #25 for at least a week or more.

tanooki where would You Belong With Me rank in a 00s list if its run wasn't split between two decades and all its points from 2010 were counted towards 2009?

I know the eras were different, but the longevity of "You Belong With Me" was huge

As you may (or may not) know, our current inverse points formula for the Hot 100 decade-end and all-time lists are not 100% accurate. As no one has attempted to change the formula within the last two years, I have decided that I will. Below the first spoiler indicates the inverse points system that I’m using. There are several (actually, about one-third) of the positions that I did not change. The positions that I changed are in bold. The second spoiler indicates the results of my test. Songs in bold are the songs that I specifically used to test out the formulas. Everything else is just for fun (those with #N/A with it). The numbers at the left either correspond to the song’s rank on the official BB600 chart (for the first batch) or the song’s rank on the 2000’s Decade-End List (for the second batch). Songs in red are songs that are still off under my formula. Yes, my formula right now isn’t perfect either, but that’s how one can get better formulas from it. It’s not something that can be done overnight. The average position for the songs that I tested that were off with my formula is 0.0769, which is really good for a first revision of the formula. I don’t know what it would be under the old formula. I will add some of the pre-Soundscan era songs as well as some of the 90’s songs from the official BB600 list the next time I do a revision. I might also make my spreadsheet public as well so people can test out their own formulas and see results, although this won’t happen until I get all the chart runs for all of the songs on the BB600. {Spoiler} 1: 65,000 2: 43,333 3: 41,167 4: 39,000 5: 36,833 6: 35,100 7: 33,367 8: 31,633 9: 29,900 10: 28,167 11: 12,567 12: 12,133 13: 11,700 14: 11,267 15: 10,833 16: 10,400 17: 9,967 18: 9,533 19: 9,100 20: 8,667 21: 8,342 22: 8,017 23: 7,692 24: 7,367 25: 7,042 26: 6,771 27: 6,500 28: 6,229 29: 5,958 30: 5,687 31: 5,525 32: 5,362 33: 5,200 34: 5,037 35: 4,875 36: 4,767 37: 4,658 38: 4,550 39: 4,442 40: 4,333 41: 4,225 42: 4,117 43: 4,008 44: 3,900 45: 3,792 46: 3,683 47: 3,575 48: 3,467 49: 3,358 50: 3,250 51: 3,142 52: 3,033 53: 2,925 54: 2,817 55: 2,708 56: 2,600 57: 2,492 58: 2,383 59: 2,275 60: 2,167 61: 2,102 62: 2,037 63: 1,972 64: 1,907 65: 1,842 66: 1,777 67: 1,712 68: 1,647 69: 1,582 70: 1,517 71: 1,473 72: 1,430 73: 1,387 74: 1,343 75: 1,300 76: 1,257 77: 1,213 78: 1,170 79: 1,127 80: 1,083 81: 1,054 82: 1,026 83: 997 84: 968 85: 939 86: 910 87: 881 88: 852 89: 823 90: 794 91: 780 92: 766 93: 751 94: 737 95: 722 96: 708 97: 693 98: 679 99: 664 100: 650

Takes on “OTR” falling out of the top ten this week?
Of course it could bounce back, but where do you think it’ll land on the Decade-End/All-Time chart if it continues to fall from here onward?

So I have decided to start up my own decade-end list predictions with my new (and definitely more accurate) formula for the inverse points system. I posted my new formula in my previous post. The multipliers are, obviously, the same.
Surprisingly, my predictions are nowhere near as word-for-word as Tanooki’s predictions, so I also feel like posting them here would provide more insight and stuff in some way.
I don’t have time to post numbers for each of the songs; they can be found in my previous post as well.
1. Uptown Funk! 2. Party Rock Anthem 3. Shape of You 4. Closer 5. Girls Like You 6. We Found Love 7. Somebody That I Used To Know 8. Despacito 9. Rolling in the Deep 10. Call Me Maybe

Could sunflower go top 10? Or is it unlikely (if it survives 52+ weeks) It’s very unlikely since it will have to pass RITD/OTR to do so.

Could sunflower go top 10? Or is it unlikely (if it survives 52+ weeks) According to Tanooki, Sunflower got around: 8k when it was #17 9k when it was #14 22k when it was #10 If Sunflower survives till the end of the decade (10 weeks = 57 weeks), that's like 80-90k more. Around 1,200,000 points overall, which is not enough for the top 10. It's very unlikely, but we'll see. I guess top 10 will look like this (not in this order): Uptown Funk Party Rock Anthem Shape Of You Closer Despacito Girls Like You We Found Love Old Town Road Rolling In The Deep Somebody That I Used To Know Sunflower will probably be at #11 and Call Me Maybe #12

To everyone who reads this thread regularly, I want some opinions
I was gonna reboot this thread and have a more informative first post (I'll refer to as OP). Ill have a description of how these types of charts work, along with the official 2018 All Time List, 2000s Decade End List, 80/90s top 500s, etc. I'll also have the different formulas in the post, along with certain notes on the progress some of us are making with fully cracking the formula. With Billboard throwing paywalls everywhere, the data is getting much harder to get and I don't wanna see the decade end/all time charts be harder to find and be forgotten. My decade end lists and other misc. lists would be posted in that thread

Sounds good to me; it's a shame that the data is getting so hard to obtain, though. I always like seeing the lists myself.

Which of course means that 7 Rings tops out on the all-time chart at #540 because Wow has already pushed it down one.
Old Town Road barely budged this week, but there's a tight group of 8 songs immediately in front of it. If it holds at #11, it would leapfrog into the top 50.

7 rings one of the most iconic and well-performing songs of all time Only in the broadest sense. Base a composition around a song from The Sound of Music, it's a stretch to call it iconic.
