More promising news today from DC (99.5) ... they played LFL around noon today, and are already playing it again at 3:00 PM! Could this really be taking off?!?!?!

I was legitimately surprised to see this played on KHTS a bit ago. Though it shouldn't be that surprising given that big sister KIIS added it and also played it earlier this afternoon. I'll be interested in seeing how long this lasts as the song has grown on me a bit.

Yea she definitely should not have had LFL in the first batch. Essentially revealing the lead single months before actual release date. Stupid move. I disagree. Of the 'leaked' demos, many would say that LFL was the most marketable/accessible - the goal at that point was not only to get stuff out but also to get those people excited enough to purchase the album. A song like LFL accomplishes that. M wants that #1 album, but also album sales. I heard the song once before the video was released (and I have every album), but I'm more interested in the album concept, so I can evaluate the project as a whole. IF the LFL got a 'failed' radio push in December that would be different, but it's 'new' to most listeners. |

Well, if she hits top30, we can't say the oldest person ever to hit top30? Yes, if she goes top 30, then she will be the oldest artist. Is she not the oldest female artist already though, or was their discussion already about Tina Turner chart achievements? Please see this post in the Oldest Acts on CHR thread. :) Steven Tyler, who's been mentioned, is the oldest lead vocalist. The oldest act to chart and be credited by name, is currently charting right now, with minimal vocal contributions at best (take a guess on which song ;)). The oldest act to reach the chart, period, charted as part of an ensemble. Among females, Tina Turner does hold the record for the oldest to reach the chart - but, "When the Heartache is Over" reached #50. The oldest to reach the Top 40, actually that depends if you count features. The oldest female lead is indeed Cher; all this song has to do is stay put through Sunday to break that record. If you count features, however...Carly Simon featured on Janet Jackson's "Son of a Gun (I Betcha Think This Song is About You)", and Carly was 56 years and 7 months old while that was still in the Top 40. Madonna would only have to keep this song in the Top 40 for a month, though, to surpass that. |

Though as I referred to in the Rebel Heart thread, there's apparently some discrepancy regarding Roberta Flack's age? Among all lead vocalists, it is again Steven Tyler; "(It) Feels So Good" debuted and peaked at #35. |

LFL was added today on my local CHR Station here in Upstate NY WYUL (94.7 Hits FM) with 7 spins total for a whole day! im impressed with this woman after 33 years!  |
