Maybe because is an awful song. I'm not too excited of the collaboration, there's a saturation of Iggy right now. I wish Britney could come back with something like Womanizer which was incredibly catchy Ummmm. No. Given how bad the song did (and it was a highly anticipated single) i doubt i'm the only one who thinks is one of Britney's worst singles in her whole career

Still confused why Work Bitch didn't smash harder. Everything, including the video, was so on point about that single. Well within the gay community, it's a huge song, so it definitely had impact.

WB was a bit generic, and the title didn't help.

I wish she would give a shit more than she does, cuz her hardcore stan base is now 25 years old, which is perfect for driving the clubs to play it. Everyone I work with LOVES Britney way more than they do Lady Gaga or Katy Perry.

Having Iggy on the track can be nothing but a good thing. We have Britney who is a huge pop music force and ALWAYS has radio interest whenever she releases a lead single, and add Iggy who was the biggest thing on pop radio all year? I don't see how this could be anything but good. Britney always releases killer lead singles, so I'm not worried musically. The song will go top 10, mark my words. "Work Bitch" got to #14 and everyone calls it a flop, which I don't understand. The song was a hit, there's no doubt about it. And I don't think Work Bitch was generic at all.

Given how bad the song did (and it was a highly anticipated single) i doubt i'm the only one who thinks is one of Britney's worst singles in her whole career It peaked at #12 on the Hot 100 which is not bad and went Top 20 in other countries. A hyped appearance that was to coincide with the announcement of her residency went terribly wrong and the Radio Edit was atrocious. Work Work... really?! The song itself is far from a flop. It's spins were going to get cut due to the jarring edit that was to be played during daytime spins.

I think the only explanation for why Work Bitch didn't smash was because there just wasn't the hype for it that there has been with past Britney singles...I don't know what else can be said to explain it.
Anyways, not sure how I'm feeling about this. I was excited but I'm not excited for Iggy to be on it

It's spins were going to get cut due to the jarring edit that was to be played during daytime spins. Yes, and Not myself tonight peaked at 14. The peaks of this song were high, but the song was not a success by any means (and even less for Britney's standards). Britney's first single in a while is going to have a warm reception, but Work bitch totally failed to go beyond that reception. Even a song like Hold it against me that burned fast had a way higher peak. It was not only that the song failed but it failed to create the same warm reception for following singles. In my opinion that kind of sound simply doesn't suit her well (i know Scream and shout did well, by the way other song that i can't stand) but she shines better in other type of dance tracks more melodic. Fortunately for her, no matter if the previous era was good or bad, there's always buzz when she comes back, but i think next time she needs to commit to the promo. She didn't do that much to promote last album, and we have similar expeciences with Christina Aguilera or Shakira. With her names and fame is enough to put the song on the charts, but unless it's a total smash, promo it's needed to make a real impact beyond the initial push. Given that this is a collaboration with an artist that it's totally hot right now, i expect really big updates when this start to chart

I'm so excited to hear this. I think this could have an even bigger first week at radio then "Hold It Against Me" did. If they hold off on this until the competition is a little bit weaker I think this could debut at #1 on the Hot 100. A mid January release would be great.

I don't think that would happen now, everyone said the same about WB. not a chance in my opinion, hopefully I'm wrong but I just don't see it. A 20 - 10 debut or peak will be more likely. Also Im throwing it out that 1st single will be Jan 9th and album will be March 17th.

I think the fact that she needs to recruit one of the biggest pop stars of the moment, Iggy, for her lead single is a sign that Brittney is past her prime already. Like others have said, I'm sure this will get played on the dance charts, but not sure about big Pop success. We will have to wait and see. Duh she's past her prime but she's one of the few artists who can still see decent success after being in the industry for over 15 years. Work Bitch still sold a million downloads which is extremely impressive for a "flop" single that didn't receive a single promotional performance. BJ is her only flop of an album. I think WB underperforming had more to do with people just not liking the song in general moreso than anything else. I mean she's never going to have a Katy-sized smash unless a miracle happens but I do think she can do well enough with the right song.

OMG I can't breathe right now I'm sooooo excited for a new Britney era which will hopefully be nothing close to the BJ era. Choosing Iggy to be featured on the song is a smart move obviously cuz she is so hot on the charts right now and has the biggest single of 2014 Still confused why Work Bitch didn't smash harder. She's probably recording vocals for other singers to mime to and/or pass off as their own.

Second, what i post it's called an opinion, you can disagree as much as you want, but given the fact this is not a fan forum you better be ready because people not always are going to agree with you

Finally something worth posting about. Excited for Britney as always. Hope its really uptempo. Although I was extremely disappointed how the last era was carried out, I unlike most, was not completely disappointed with the music. BJ had some great songs. ISBE and TIG are still in heavy rotation for me. Hope she leaves that Mayah person out this time though .

Can't wait for new music by the Queen. I love Iggy so I couldn't be more excited to hear this eventhough Brit doesn't need anyone on her lead single to score a hit.

I'm calling it now. This will be a Max Martin produced smash. He produced Ariana Grande's lead "Problem" which features Iggy. He would be the most logical guess for producer in this scenario.
I really hope Britney has recorded more than 50% of the album with Max. She definitely needs big hits this era. Not album fodder that "Britney Jean" had.

Still confused why Work Bitch didn't smash harder. Everything, including the video, was so on point about that single. Umm, just no. The song was really awful. It sounded like something the BEP would have released and they haven't managed a hit in quite a while and that sound is just totally gone now. The video was a hot mess, edited to death to completely avoid having to show Brit doing more than 3 consecutive dance steps at a time. Nothing but hair flicking and arm movements. Bravo for what they pulled off, clearly fooled some of you. I think Iggy is a good idea but she is getting a little overplayed, just like Ariana Grande. Iggy could help keep this really current sounding, though, and that can't hurt.

Out of their last 8 singles , one wasn't succeasful

Why are we talking about BEP? They've been done for a couple of years now.

There were a lot of consecutive dance scenes and they looked great. The song itself was a lot better than what BEP had been releasing last.
