While not a radio countdown, there was a tv show that counted down the top 10 videos of the week, back in the mid-90's. It was called Billy Bob's Country Countdown, and it was hosted by Michael Twitty. First post in four months and the first this year. Welcome back, Todd!

Last night they had Country Countdown USA. Hosted by Dierks Bentley, Maddie & Tae, Canaan Smith, and Kip Moore. It was amazing hearing this last night. Ok so they had the whole hottest song thing which was Kelsea Ballerini with Love Me Like You Mean It followed by Gloriana and Trouble then to top it off Girl In A Country Song for Maddie & Taes first hit. That's 3 women songs in a row. They also talked about how funny and crazy Brett Eldredge is. Canaan Smiths time on the Amazing Race and of how bad he performed on it. The backstory behind Maddie & Tae song as well as Kip Moore and Canaan songs. How down to earth Dustin Lynch is. They also wondered what Sangria was and they had like a 2 minute debate on what it was would they had which led to Dierks jokingly calling Blake Shelton put for drinking a girly drink since Maddie & Tae would drink it. Let see Kip said Billy Currington was kinda like a surfer hippie dude. Canaan talked about FGL while Maddie & Tae talked about meeting their wives the 2 of them also talked of how Kelsea Ballerini can light up a room and is a hard worker. Also I don't know if this is a dig or not but Maddie & Tae said they liked the way that their tour mates describe the females in their songs. Finally most of all they played Dierks Bentley new song Riser which that in my opinion was the highlight of the whole night.
Overall my favorite Country Countdown show ever.

The Weekly Top 30 with Harmon and Evans is another old countdown show you won't find much information on. It was syndicated out of, I believe Indiana. It played here in SE WI on 92.5 back in the day. I would say it was on from maybe 1990 to maybe the mid to late 90s.

I literally just realized that Prime Country had its own Throwback 30, lol. I listened to the last couple songs for the Billboard chart from the second week of June in 1996, late this morning ("Blue Clear Sky" was #1).
Mike Terry (Prime Country deejay) hosted.

So I'm listening to Prime Country's "Throwback 30" tonight and apparently Bryan White's "Sittin' On Go" dropped from #1 to #21? Or at least it fell maybe harder than any song on Billboard in the 90's, lol.

There were some quick falling songs in the 90's. Mi Vidi Loca went 1-1-16-23-34-42 the same week Pam went from 1-16, John Berry went from 4 to 21 with "You and Only You" and Brooks and Dunn fell from 11 to 31 with I'll Never Forgive My Heart.

Oh gosh this country countdown USA show is absolutely awful tonight. The co-host is Luke Bryan nice guy truly but just he's so boring and I don't feel like he's a great radio voice it's just so boring listing to him and Lon Helton id already boring as it is. I mean and my gosh I at times like CCUSA but at times the artists barely talk about others. Here's who Luke has mentioned Cole Swindell Thomas Rhett FGL and Little Big Town that's it. Oh right they talked about Randy Houser but he doesn't have a song in the Top 30. Luke is just so boring I'm only sticking it out since I can hear Girl Crush that's it.
Fun Fact since I've started listening to CCUSA the folllowing artists haven't been mentioned this is since Februrary. Not really much Miranda Lambert, Joe Nichols oh and it was funny with Gloriana they.were literally like here's Gloriana with Trouble no mention of anything artist interaction nothing it actually makes me laugh.

Sorry for a.double post. Tonights CCUSA co-host Sam Hunt and man I digged on Luke before but Sam Hunt has to be the most monotone artist I've ever heard. While I'm not a fan of him whatsoever as dm2081 pointed out Thomas Rhett is more entertaining. Along with Brantley Gilbert. But man Sam is just so boring he's not exactly much of a talker and the show is starting to drag now. However I did like him mentioning Maddie & Tae and Cam. Overall pretty dull show as It's only song #9 and I'm already thinking of turning the dial. Aw well Dustin Lynch should be fun next week as I imagine he will bring a lot of life to the countdown.

Anytime ACC wants to permanently replace Kix with Suzanne Alexander as host, that would be fine by me, lol.

Anytime ACC wants to permanently replace Kix with Suzanne Alexander as host, that would be fine by me, lol. I'm assuming you heard the countdown today. I somewhat like Kix cause he seems to have a really fun personality. I'd rather have Suzanne and Kix sort of co-host like on Kicking It With Kix Anyways this weeks CCUSA co-host Dustin Lynch. Here are my thoughts This guy certainly brought a lot of life to the show apparentley Dustin asks questions for artists for the red carpet (can't remember what award show) but he seemed to be just one of the most humble artists on the show. I also have to say the accoustic for Hell Of A Night isn't bad at all. Anyways I heard Dustin is already working on his third album. Also gonna be on his own tour. Consensus: While I'm not exactly big on Dustin's music Cowboys and Angel being his only really great single. He has an easy enough likable personality and he's by far one of the worst offenders right now. So I can root for Dustin.

raylatch98 Every station airs the countdown shows at a different time. Most are on Sunday mornings but WYRK airs ACC on Sunday nights and CT40 on Sunday mornings. Kix's voice is terrible. I really don't want to be mean but it's ill suited for someone with his speaking voice to be hosting a nationally syndicated countdown program.

Kix just said on ACC, "this lady first broke on to the scene in 2006", in reference to Miranda Lambert...her debut single was released in 2004 and she released her debut album in 2005.
Who the heck feeds him this stuff? I understand that mistakes happen but this is at least the 5th mess up I've heard this year.

So Kix Brooks just said arguably his biggest head scratcher on ACC. So they played "House Party" by Sam Hunt and afterwards Kix said, "That was Sam Hunt's first #1 "House Party". I just can't right now. I mean can people at radio at least state stuff correctly.

I can't tolerate Kix's whiny voice at all. However, I heard him do a PSA for smoke detectors where he spoke in a more subdued tone that was a lot less whiny. If he used THAT voice on ACC, then it might be halfway listenable.
Bob is still my go-to for countdowns, even though I miss the first hour due to church. However, I just HAVE to find out what he has against the second verse of "Gettin' You Home". Literally every time he's played it, even when it was climbing the charts, he whacked out the whole second verse. I actually shot them an e-mail a few hours ago to ask about this. They've been responsive to e-mails before (such as a show about 2 years ago where I noticed they'd sped up "Eight Second Ride" -- they told me that it was an audio conversion error and that they'd fixed it).

Kix voice to me isn't whiny. Just grating. I mainly listen to his countdown because I'm a fan of country music, and chart just in general. Besides I also like hearing some news about artists.

I can't tolerate Kix's whiny voice at all. The reason I can't stand his voice is the way he drags words and sentences out. His accent is way over the top for a nationally syndicated countdown show. "I haaddd a chaanceee tooo catchhh up with Thooomass Rheeett"...oh my God, please stick a fork in my eardrum. Then there's the 57 countdown extras he plays. Kingsley's countdown dances circles around Kix's.
