Wow article came early today! :O also I think its about time for a male to be #1. Please Hozier or Mark and Bruno be #1 next week!!!!!! :(
And wow I did not expect AATB to rebound so much :O what caused the spike in streaming? Also it's only the fourth song to be #1 in streaming for a double-digit number of weeks right?
and noooooo Ariana how could you drop out of the top ten :( those damn year-end benefits for SIO, AATB, etc. :( :( :(

Wow at Taylor having a 7 week number one. I can see it being number one for at least 3 more weeks, which would be very impressive, considering the rest of her #1 singles top the charts for a month max.

Like I said before "Blank Space" is looking like a 10 week run at #1 even when a certain poster called me "delusional" for saying so. I think if Taylor performs "Blank Space" tonight it will almost certainly go back to #1 on iTunes.

Taylor's 1989 era is on fire! Not just the album sales, but having two Hot 100 #1 singles, and to be honest, I thought Blank Space would have many 2-4 weeks on top of the Hot 100, but it looks like it can get really close to 10 weeks or even surpass that!
It's like every era, she outdoes herself again and again.

If 'All About that Bass' comes on the radio or wherever, I instantly change it. Can't stand that song. It gets stuck in my head all day even if I only hear 10 seconds of it. But I like Lips Are Moving. I can't figure out if she's a real throwback, or she's just following a trend. She comes across as a nice, normal girl I like that too.

It might get one more week at #1 and ONLY courtesy of Taylor performing tonight and then be dethroned by Uptown Funk. No way is it going to be 10 weeks at #1. Also, people thought it would be #1 going into February/March and that's obviously not going to happen lol. Don't be so sure of yourself there. |

Ignoring sales, radio is closing in to 2:1, and streaming are now matching up. However, I'd be wary that radio is definitely slowing down for Uptown Funk. The same is happening to Space, but that's much higher in raw numbers. Streaming could be the key, but I'm not experienced in those matters.
Blank Space isn't quite as secure as I was assuming in collecting this data, but there is a good chance it could outlast Uptown Funk if the latter has peaked in radio and can't gain an edge in streaming. Next week is a gimme, and there could be at least 2 more weeks in store.

That UF slayage on iTunes right now. BS has gone from .88 to .78 in one day. My hopes have been brought up :'D because of the still pretty big airplay gap UF might not be able to make #1 on 1/17 but I'm very hopeful for 1/24!!! *fingers crossed* |
