I havn't updated this thread in a while. I still post my list in the personal charts Alt/Rock section, but this week I added a bunch of extras, like my original album art and videos. Plus it's summer. Time for the best music to be released and it really brings out the best in me. so without delay....This second entry in the Summer Slaughter edition brings many surprises. The Furious 5 (*)are still making big splashes in the chart, but this week we can add Duran Duran's latest Single: "Pressure Off" to that list; as well "Hallelujah"; who this week leaps over the competition and relieves Winger from the #1 position on the chart. Another song that could be a future Summer Slaughter contender is BØRNS with "Electric Love". That is also this week's highest debut. The other two are Robert DeLong; with his first hit on my chart. The very 80s sounding "Don'T wait Up" and TQ with some new 80s style High Energy dance music in the form of "Kickstart". Once again, debuts in Green, Significant moves in Blue and song's peak in (), Summer Slaughter songs * .

Hot List
Three new sogs enter the list this week. Two come from huge established Alternative bands. "Mercy" from Muse and "the Ghosts of Beverly Drive" from Deathcab For Cutie. The third comes from Mega Stars; Bon Jovi. "Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning" might sound like a Nickelback rehash, but it's still s pretty cool song. We'll see how it fairs with the summer competition in the weeks to come?

The summer slaughter continues with songs from Shinedown, Modest Mouse, Demi Lovato, Duran Duran, PHASES , and Atlas Genius; who will be a Top 10 threat, by next week. The lastest addition to the list would be Italo group; ItaLove ,who leap within the top 10 from #10 to #6. The slaughtered songs this week include songs from; Echosmith, Saint Motel, We Are Harlot,Neon Trees, TOAd; who is a top contender for song of the year for "Angel" and Muse; who tumble from #2 to #5 ;proboly due to the fact that I've been spinning "Mercy" alot more than "Dead Inside this week. "Mercy" will be the highest debut next week. However; this week,we only have two songs debuting the chart. From the Hard Rock world come the new singles from Buckcherry and Disturbed. Vid Spotlight from Buckcherry and Struts; who switched places with Florence this week...and of course we can't forget the biggest song of the week from superstars; Panic! At the Disco. quite a bit of new songs debut here; including the new Papa Roach single "Gravity feat. Maria Brink"; whom I was skeptical about at first, but now growing very fond of. Also comes new indie pop from WE ARE TWIN. "In The Moment" is the first of many songs I like from them. Hard Rock from Breaking Benjamin in the form of "Angels Fall", Indie Alt Rock from Cheerleader "Sunshine of Your Youth" and 80's icons, New Order with their new single "Restless".

Excited to Post mine a day early. First we got Panic! At The Disco at #1 for a 3rd strong week, but both PHASES and ItaLove are also coming in strong for the top position. This week we also have a new Summer Slaughter song in the form of "Ship To Wreck" from Florence + the Machine, who jumps over strong competition and lands her first Top 10 song on my chart. The other Summer Slaughter songs this week are from, BØRNS, Duran Duran, ItaLove, Modest Mouse and Atlas Genius who leap into the top 10 at #7, with a very possible future #1. Hot List
Only one Alt song makes the Hot List this week. It's from Pop Punkers; New Found Glory feat. Heyley Williams -"Vicious Love". The other 3 entries are straight out Pop, but from the only kind of Pop I like. The one with 80s vibes. Be that; the songs, themselves or the videos. The first ifs from Indie Pop artist; Foxes - "Body Talk". The second is from Another Indie Pop artist that I always chart. Marina and the Diamonds- "Blue" is straight outta a playlist from 1984. Finally I flipped over the K-pop girl group: Wonder Girls. Thier new comeback single is what pop should sound like. Feast your eys on this very stunning Girl band and their very synthy ;Prince/Sheila E.-esque, "I Feel You". I would much rather watch girls playing instruments than twerking on stage; that's for sure..

This week Panic! At The Disco hold off the competition for a 4rth week, but they get their guard up as Altlas Genius is striding right to the top with a tremendous song; that I'm already, thinking will top the charts, for at least; 7 + weeks. This week the whole Summer Slaughter team slows down as they enter the always crowded top 20. At the same time; due to much movement on this week's chart, there are also big movers from Muse, Buckcherry, The C.I.P, Robert Delong and Brandon Flowers. They could also turn out to be the Summer Slaugter songs Phase #2? Vid spotlights this week are all from 80s icons. First is Billy idol; who is sure to enter the top 10 next week, Duran Duran with a live version of "Pressure Off" in very high quality and "Steal" from New Romantic GODS; Spandau Ballet. Finally come 3 debuts. The Pierces, finally enter the top 50 after two former attempts with "The Devil is A Lonely Night" The style is somewhat like "Ship To Wreck" with a bit of synths. Debut #2 is from CHVRCHES upcoming Every Open Eye album. The lead single is "Leave A Trace" and it's sure to do exactly that on this chart. Finally our highest debut from hard Rocker's; Breaking Benjamin -"Angels Fall". Another Power ballad(sort off) with the word "Angel" should do just fine on my chart. Hot List
One song especially made an impact on me this week. It's from Canadian; Alt rockers, Mother Mother. "Monkey Tree" just barely missed making my top 50, but this new song; entitled "Modern Love" is too 1982 to pass up. Even the video screams 1980s. Song #2 getting mad plays on my foobar is from Foo Fighters. This time with a little help from Rock icon, Joe Walsh on "Outside" and for the indie poppers out there, comes Little Daylight with "Mona Lisa". We'll see how well these songs do in the coming weeks and if they can crack the top 50? For now enjoy that new Mother Mother vid I was talking about above.

this week we have a very exciting list. Panic! At The Disco hold on to the top spot for a strong 6th week in a row. My top 10 actually has a lot of strong competitors for the number one spot in the weeks to come. This week Donkeyboy also score their 6th top 10 song on my chart . "Sometimes" went on to become one of my top 3 songs of 2010. It's an 80s vibe on this week's chart and most of the significant movers back that statement up. Including my highest debut from the Canadian band; Mother Mother. My other two debuts are The Dead Weather; which inclued Jack White with "I Feel Love (Every Million Miles) and a late comer from the Zolas, entitles "Molotov Girls" complete with an amazing synth intro. Vid showcases this week are from Robert DeLong, Shinedown, and Mother Mother and from the HOT LIST; Moenia with their new song, "Ja'Mas".. I also brought back the flashback vid from the 80s. Going back to my Latin Indie Rock and Synth pop roots this week as new music is released from two of my fav bands. First is Synth Pop icons; Moenia. They have been around since 1990s and one of the reasons I love Synth Pop. Their newest addition to Moenia classics is called "Ja'mas" and will go to #1 on this chart. Next are Los Abominables. "Ciclope" is one of my biggest hits of 2015 and I finally have their new album; Pseudo Super Science. It's 80s new wave from start to finish and the first official release is called "Fever". The 80s vibes continue with the group El Vy. "Return To The Moon" is the name of the song. Finally ;being a huge Echosmith fan; I've added their new song "Let's Love". Took me a while to warm up to it, but now I'm giving mad spin action.

The Big news is "Molecules" holding the throne for a second strong week. SPOILER: "Molecules" could turn out to be my favourit song of 2015. Depending how high Duran Duran and Def leppard peak, but for now ;Atlas Genius should reign for at least a couple months? 3 New songs make there way from the HOT List to the Top 50 this week. The highest honour goes to "Outta My Mind" from The Arcs coming in at #47. Hot List: The songs in the waiting room gaining points to make it onto the Regal Top 50. This week the big news is 80s Rock Icons; Def Leppard's, upcoming ,self titled album. The first release ; Let's Go" is already on fire and should start slaying the chart in the coming weeks. Other new songs, include ,"Magic" from indie pop band, Icelandia, hard Rock outfit; DOROTHY, with "Wicked Ones". Another cut off the Phases E.P. entitled "Betty Blue" and Charli XCX with her brand of Alternative Pop and her song "Famous" The 80s punk influences in her songs and guitars, are what I enjoy best and always place her one level above the average pop song. The video is hard to watch, but I like the song.

Atlas Genius holds the top spot for an entire month. Florence + the Machine move up another spot to #2 and a good chance of going to the top next week. "Crystals" has been up and down the chart for almost 20 weeks now and this week they score a new peak of #11 so it just might make the top 10 after all? Only 2 debuts this week. Both from Indie new comers. First comes Indie rock from El Vy with "Return To The Moon....." and at #48 the highest debut from Indie Pop outfit Girl Friend. Hot List: 5 new entries in the HOT List. Citizens! is back on my most added with the very Hall & Oats-esque; "Trouble", For Pop music; I tend to stick with K-POP. The melodies sound better and the vocals and girls are cute. "Lion Heart" has a reto 50's melody to it and very catchy. Panic! At The Disco are back with "Victorious" and the big entries are from Synth pop band; New Arcades "Stay In My Sight" (very 80s) and speaking of 80s comes The 1975 with a bullet for their song "Love Me". This could very well be one of my fav new songs of 2016. Since we are already practicaly in Nov., I'll probobly let it slide over to next year. The vid spotlight goes to them as well.

This week marks week number 9 at #1 for "Molecules". One shy away from 10 weeks and being the song that has spent the most weeks at the top spot on my chart. It's one of those songs, I consider flawless and sounds right at home among any of my 80s New Wave, playlists. We also have a chart with many big jumpers this week. Including "Let's Go" by Def Leppard, who breaks into the top 5; making a big leap of 7 slots. HOT List: quite a bit of new music makes it's debut on my pick hits list. My favorite of these; is easily "Giving Up On You" from Wild Belle. This new song is laced with 80s touches that remind me a bit of English Beat and maybe some Romeo Void too. Killer song. I'm also showcasing The Kooks "Forgive & Forget", The Royal Concept "Fashion". Another 80s vibe from St. Lucia called "Dancing On Glass". For some hard rock flavour; I'll add, Like A Storm "Become The Enemy" and Against The Current "Another You (Some Other Way); which actually came out last year, but what the hell. I like it, cuz they kinda sound like Paramore. The last song new to this weeks list; is the brand new Good Charlotte "Makeshift Love" (thanks to Dr. Punk for tuning me on to it) I'm a huge Good Charlotte fan, so I'm giving it an early boost. and debuting the video as well.

This week marks week #11 for "Molecules" at the top of my chart. It's not a hard task for a song when you know it's your favorite of the year, the very first time you hear it. and though week #12 could be a possibility; anything after that looks bleak with "Let's Go" already pushing itself to #2 ;after only it's 9th week on my chart. The only new entry in the top 10 is "Lemon Eyes" by Meg Myers and though "Sorry" peaked just outside my top 10; I felt it was time to give her ;her first top 10 on my chart. The song, like most of my top 10 songs, has very powerful vocals, so it should very easily; go top 5 in the coming weeks.The two debuts on my chart are also vid spotlights. First is "Victorious" from Panic! At The Disco. It's taking me a while to grow into it, but Uri's vocals ultimatley, have won me over. Debut #2 is the newest from The Wombats. It's a catchy uptempo number titled "Give Me A Try". The Wombats have had 3 top singles on my chart. "Your Body Is A Weapon", "Tokyo (Vampiers and Wolves)" and the highest charting single; "1996" which peaked at #3 for 6 straight weeks. HOT List: 3 songs make the cut this week. First is Indie Pop Rock from the band; Red Red Lips. They have a sorta Black Keys sound with really great female vocals. This week I added "You Can Have It" to my most played extras. The second is another cut from MisterWives debut album. Just as "Our Own House" is arriving at it's peak; I felt it's time to add "Imagination Infatuation". I dare say it's even better than "Our Own House". Finally ;and this one is a keeper that's blasting on all charts across the board. It's "Trip Switch" from the band; Nothing But Thieves. It's exactly the type of music Alt radio should be playing.

It's a very exciting week for we have a brand new #1 song. Yes! Rock Icons; Def Leppard are moving into the top spot with the first single of their self entitled album "Def Leppard". The new album should produce even more top 10 hits for them in 2016. Another notable jumper this week is the latest single by Indie Pop band; HURTS. Every week I notice more and more the similarity to "Some Kind Of Heaven" and certain songs from Fitz and The Tantrums. The Wonder Girls and Panic! At The Disco are also making nice jumps within the chart. Back to 4 debuts this week. Including a late comer from New Order complete with cool vid spotlight. Once again ;debuts in Green, Significant moves in Blue , and song's peak in () .

HOT List: The hot list is full of great music. First: is one that I was saving for 2016, but in light of Scott Weiland's untimely passing, I decided to start showcasing a 3rd single off the "Blaster" album and the one I think is the best, called "Hotel Rio". next is also a third album cut off "Language & Perspective" from the Bad Suns' called "Pretend". Entry #3 on the Hot List is the return of Class Actress's song, "More Than You". The Fall Out Boy remix of "Irresistible feat. Demi Lovato" finally makes an appearance and Finally the indie rock spotlight of the week from, Swim Season. It's a hot new song called "Soldiers".

Second week for Rock icons; Def Leppard at #1 with thier hard Rock smash; "Let's Go" . The 80's rock vibe is alive and well, as this week "Someday" also gets a new high peak of #2. The Dead Weather score thier first top 10 hit on my chart with "I Feel Love(every Million Miles). The song also gets a vid spotlight. The band WHITE gets a push up the chart after peaking at #18 due to the positive response it's getting on the tournament. It could still go top 10? We have three big debuts on this week's chart. All three songs carry a different vibe. We have Indie synth pop from Class Actress, Indie Rock from The Kooks and straight out RnR from Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts. "Hotel Rio" is the 3rd song off Blaster I'm charting and also my favorite track off the album as well. All three songs also get vid spotlights. The're are two weeks left for 2015. The first week of 2016 actually falls on a Friday. This week we go to 2012 for one of my fav Alt songs of that year. It's from The British Symphonic Alt band; Wolf Gang. It's from the album; "Suego Faults". I charted 4 singles off that album, but my biggest chart topper was "The King And All Of His Men". It finished the year as my #5 single of 2012. Also a big top 40 Alt single.
